  1. Get over it. If you wanted a ticket for games the last couple of seasons you could have got one quite easily. We've rarely sold out and in the games we have the tickets have been on sale for ages. Fair is someone paying money for a ticket. People banging on about how many games they've been too and expecting special treatment is boring. If you want a ticket for a game you could quite easily have got one and will be able to quite easily get one in the future, especially after the initial excitement of the first couple of home games blow over and we get stuffed by a couple of big teams.
  2. How quickly is he likely to oust a goal keeper who could easily be sold at his current club? People seriously need to chill out about these rumours. Great if we sign him. But your clinging onto a daily mail article ffs. It's embarrassing. However...It's not as embarrassing as people acting like they are some sort of know it all about Jack Butland and what's best for his career.
  3. He's saying something positive and something that people want to hear. So they cling on to it. Same with the Butland rumours. People like the sound of it, so are inclined to believe it more. Wasn't Nixon saying how Adkins was off a couple of weeks ago?
  4. If anyone is hijacking it then it will be Liverpool. You can throw in numerous other teams in the Prem that would want him before we'd get a sniff too.
  5. Terrible logic. They play in different positions and are hardly similar in style of play. Swansea is a preferable location for Gylfi Sigurdsson. The world is a subjective one, not an objective "general" one. Sigurdsson was never going anywhere else. Rodgers, guarantee of first team football on a regular basis in a team that suits him perfectly and in keeping Rodgers has a bright future and some loyalty to the club who gave him a chance in the Prem.
  6. "Looking back and reading what a tool I am" True dat! Forest to win the league ffs
  7. Very much doubt we'll be using Saints player next season either. Unlucky.
  8. I think people will be disappointed if they expect a new No1 next season. Not only is Davis capable IMO but Adkins is big on his team ethic and his experienced players play a MASSIVE role of that. Davis is huge in this area and to replace him would be foolish on many levels. A new younger back up with the plan to phase Davis out over a period of time maybe...but a goalkeeper expecting to be starting...no chance.
  9. Can't actually believe people think this would happen. Nothing about him fits into any part of Liverpool's and their owners plans. They quite clearly want younger players. I really don't think we have anything to worry about regarding him leaving quite simply because of the age he is, he is of no value to most clubs above us. Certainly not a club of Liverpool's stature. If for some crazy reason we didn't go up, he might be of interest to some lower premier league clubs, but for the price they'd have to pay and the wages they'd have to match I think most clubs would see a bit of sense and look somewhere else where they could find someone with a bit of potential. (Sordell to Bolton in January for example). Rightly or wrongly clubs of Liverpool's stature do not look at short term signings like Lambert would be. (Even Huddersfield didn't fancy it a couple of years ago, let alone Liverpool now.)
  10. All will depend on Mondays result tbf. If we are up already then the race for 6th will be on probably.
  11. This. We can win. I wan't us to win. I expect us to win. **** just getting promoted, not only are we up pretty much anyway, but we have an opportunity to go and win a league. Something we won't get another chance to do for a long time.
  12. The sooner English teams get away from the idea of having a "hardman" the better for everyone. To then agree with the statement and to suggest 3 attacking midfielders, two of which would laugh at our interest is almost as laughable as the initial statement.
  13. Actually at no point does he say we should have stayed at the dell. Nor is he loathed to give us credit. He quite rightly points out we haven't done back to back promotions yet and until then should focus on doing it rather than being praised about it with 7 games to go. Infact, he even says something like "They have had a fantastic season but WHEN it happens, I'll give them credit."
  14. Seeing as he's by far the most respected man in the dressing room I think dropping him upon promotion would be a huge gamble. Think if we were to sign a keeper it would be a young one who we could ease into the team over time rather than feel pressured to play immediately.

    Diouf

Agreed. My 2nd favourite footballer behind Balotelli. He's hilarious to watch. But you'll get burned on here saying that btw.
  16. Nothing wrong with sideways/backward passing in my eyes. If you don't like it, you'd hate to be a Swansea fan. Football is changing for the better in this country. Retaining possession is becoming vitally important. We do it superbly at our best (Not the first half today). You can only be effective and attacking if you have the ball and have some patience. Sometimes a backwards pass or a sideways pass can draw defenders in and open things up. Remember we have a great home record so teams will come to us and defend organised and deep. Something they didn't do at the start. We have to find ways to break those deep defences down, something that we criticised our players for when we were in League One...not having plan b's/c's. Whether it's entertaining or not is subjective. Personally, I prefer to see us keeping the ball, working the ball around the pitch and wearing teams down, having various ways of playing and allowing our inventive and creative players to flourish. Having the diagonal ball to Lambert and the ball over the top of Lee to chase is allows us to keep teams on there feet against us and both those worked perfectly today which allowed us to get into a position where we could control the game but our ball retention is what sets us apart in this league imo. We as fans need to be patient and have trust in the players that they know what they are doing when they keep the ball. It's evident it's part of the plan..hence our goal kicks which are set up to allow us to keep the ball and not throw up the lottery of Lambert winning a flick on and someone hopefully mopping up around him. The statistics back that up. Whether it's effective or not is not subjective though. We are top of the league.
  17. We've boo'ed our own players at times this season.
  18. Can I ruin the save a little by pointing out that it was going wide whether he saved it or not...
  19. Holt is much more than just a lump upfront btw. He's pretty good with his feet too. Our opinions of him are just as lazy as most other fans of Lambert. Having not seen enough of Holt to be able to say who is better its hard to compare but only natural for us to side with our striker just as Norwich will side with Holt.
  20. Do you think maybe that might have been a tactical plan? I'm basing this on two pretty clear points. 1) Richardson probably has the most assists in our side. We've been doing that all season. Seems a pretty good idea to exploit your attacking full backs when they work so well. 2) Our wingers don't play as wingers. They roam. Adkins endlessly talks about playing in between the lines. It's Lallana and whoever plays wide right that does this the most. If you look back to the start of the season where we were widely recognised to be playing ours and the leagues best football you will see Guly playing that position on a weekly basis. Only an injury to Connolly has stopped him playing there all season really. Oh and I laugh at the ridiculous nature of some of our fans at times. Yesterday when Guly and others passed the ball to a team mate and therefore keeping possesion I heard on numerous occasions people groan and shout "Just chuck it in the box!!!". English mentality at its best. It's why we don't appreciate talented foreign footballers like Guly. 2)
  21. It a ridiculous idea to have 5 players on the bench let alone 5 outfield players.

    Guly

    It's not that he's black. It's that he's Brazilian.
  23. No. No he wouldn't have been a good signing. He would have been a desperate short term signing.
  24. Pretty sure Beckford having played for both Everton and Leicester can't play for anyone else this season.
