Yes please! A class act when at his best IMO. Very under valued because of the English mentality. Loan is the best option because of his fitness though.

Reading are better equipped for the Premier League than Southampton

Oh and Stoke will probably struggle too. **** poor manager, football and midfield will finally catch up with them. -

Fulham? They will be more than fine. Norwich, West Brom and Reading are going down by the way. This is fact. -
Not even the slightest of chances of you getting a refund.
-
They are ignoring that for Butland only.

Apparently he was here today according to this... http://vitesserss.nl/2012/06/29/buttner-onderhandelt-in-engeland-met-southampton/?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed

Ah you see this is where we differ on why we go to these games. I have no interest in seeing "our brothers from north of the border in town" nor the good numbers they would have bought. I couldn't care less if I was the only one watching in the ground, If I'm paying 25 quid I want to see some half decent football. I don't find the idea of watching Lee Wallace and a bunch of young **** poor scottish lads appealing, but I do find the idea of watching some talented Arsenal youngsters and an interesting team from abroad quite interesting. Football wise, Anderlecht are so much more enticing than an already below average side that is now ever further depleted of talent.
-
I feel the opposite myself. Watching Rangers was so not appealing for me. Anderlecht are much more interesting imo and will at least be competitive.

Ignoring the fact that as CB Fry has pointed out, that is probably utter guff... I didn't realise we were the only club in the prem that likes to do things in private?
-
What exactly about that article suggests the Southampton way of doing things?

I like him. Like you said he's neat and tidy. Problem is, we have that in Cork and Morgan. I'd rather them than Surman, which is what gives me the confidence that our midfield is more than capable of holding its own in this league.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
Hopkins replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
How has a thread about a stadium that is nothing more than a drawing and is 10/15/20 years down the line, by which time the owners probably won't be here anymore and the plans would have changed considerably got to 12 pages? -
Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition
Hopkins replied to Jimmy_D's topic in The Saints
Ah fantastic. I remember him saying and doing similar last season in both windows only for everyone to assume it was certain we'd sign players within a few days and when those self set deadlines expired then everyone moaned and said we had missed out on targets. -

Adam so over rated. Wasn't even Blackpool's best player when he was there. He wouldn't come here thank god. -
He's not particularly great and his agent has already said he's off to Celtic.
-
He's been utter guff for Roma so I doubt they will be signing him.
-
Writing off 1 million for a friendly away from home? It's either nonsense or utterly moronic.
-
Well that won't be true will it? Not least because hosting a uninteresting friendly at St Marys is of no benefit to Wolves.
-
Bigger squad. Wouldn't be surprised if the Wolves game will see a few youngsters be given a chance. Might help sell a few more tickets too. Udinese and Ajax... depending on the prices.... will be so much better to watch than Rangers and Arsenal kids.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

This. The idea that Dzageov, Pizscek or Selassie have been suddenly discovered tonight on this forum is funny but not as funny as the idea that they would join us. -
Wouldn't mind this happening but I don't see it happening. Don't see Green wanting to change like for like. Especially if Malaga are interested. The move wouldn't really make sense on his part. Don't see us dropping Kelvin just like that. His influence in the dressing room is huge and upsetting him could back fire. We'll see. He's a cracking keeper though. Not even sure how that is up for debate.

Almost certainly pre season arrangements. Going back to Switzerland.

As great as this would be, it is very unlikely to happen. Seems to have come from a rumours round up in the sun ffs. I'm happy to be proven wrong but this is clearly going to be one of those rumours that gets out of hand and is used as proof we can't attract top players when he signs for someone else, despite the fact we were probably never interested.

Meh. I'd do it. Pay me a stupid amount of money to do not a lot for four years and I'd be all over it. Especially as a few years down the line when it becomes apparent that you probably don't have much of a career (Occasional hope at the start of each loan deal aside) in this and certainly won't get it as good again, I'd milk it for all I can. Can only hope from a human to human point of view, that he's saved some of the wedge he's on for his obvious decline which will happen when his contract runs out. The story of Michael Johnson is one which is awful to hear about and I fear from the stories of him being out on the smash on a regular basis that he probably hasn't saved some money. I think the slagging off is a bit harsh. Especially from a purely football basis. Bear in mind, that he was on the books at Spurs (Even made there bench occasionally IIRC?) and seemed to have a good little future in the game. We as a club probably see something in him and take a gamble like any signing of a young player is. He's offered a 4 year contract at a club that is in the division below and probably see's a chance to work his way into the team and carry on a seemingly promising career. For me I'd be really interested to know what happened at this point. Nobody knows, so I feel calling Lowe all sorts of names for agreeing to the deal is harsh, as on the face of it, the lad had some ability. We don't know what Forecasts attitude was at this point so I feel slagging him off is also harsh. Did he make a conscious decision to be a bit of an douche and not bother working at his career or is he just a tragic case of someone losing their way in a harsh world and now people are treating him as a lost cause? Has he ever had someone sit down with him and work with him and see where his career has gone wrong? Are the coaches to blame for not getting the best out of him? Would be interesting to hear from him when he does leave. It might give us a little insight into what has happened over the years, although his story would clearly be one sided. It's an interesting subject for me. The mindset of a footballer who must come to soon realise he's a bit out of his depth. The same with Pulis. Bear in mind that when the deal was signed by each of these lads, they thought they were embarking on a promising footballing career and this was an ideal opportunity for them both. Do they realise along the way that it's going wrong? Or is it a shock for them when they get released? They wouldn't look it their lives as objectively as we do. Aside from all that, I really do feel that if this signing was not part of the Bale deal, nobody would give a hoot.

Don't be so naive and pedantic.
