  1. EVen if there is a sell on clause we'll make a profit even if we sell him for 10p and a bag of chips (his worth at times IMO!!) as we spent nothing getting him here, he's the Coca Cola kid!!
  2. Taped the highlights on PlayTv (Like Sky+, but through PS3 on freeview!), just watched, and yes, the protest was well covered, good interviews, but like others have said, why the hell do they insist on showing highlights from those stupid angles?? Who wants to see that seriously?? I was actually there so saw them all but if I hadn't already seen the goals I'd be really hacked off. You just can't tell how good the goals were or from what distance. Ridiculous. And who wants to see some bits through a seas of player legs and bodies?? For gods sake itv, thanks god its on bbc next year! In case anyone wants to see the actual normal angled highlights from a tv p.o.v and not drunk wandering around the pitch with a camcorder p.o.v the highlights are on SkySports News in a minute, like in 2 mins.
  3. Just a thought... But do you think we'll cancell his current contract on the pitch before the Swansea game today?
  4. Fair enough really. It's a shame cos I feel Rudi never really lived up to his hype here, we did see glimmers of it here and there but was distinctly average IMO. (Although to be fair that is better than most of the suad of the last two seasons!) It didn't really help that I don't think he was ever really used properly and would of loved to have seen him in the hole behind the forwards. And it did give us a great deal of fun with the whole "Has he signed yet?" game on here!! All the best Rudi, shame it didn't work out... lets hope we get a nice bit of coin for him! (And could we finally have someone worthwhile fill the No7 shirt please??)
  5. They can have him for the cost of 3 points on saturday and a 7-0 win to go towards our goal difference. :-)
  6. I'll give £10 to help him on his way...

    Norwich?

I'm still ummm-ing and ahhh-ing.... I think I want to go... its more of a financial issue than anything... and could I tollerate the journey home knowing we're effectivly down!! But then if we win... wooo! I can be upbeat til the next home game where we mess it all up again!!! :-)
  14. I actually backed us to lose 2-1 at 10/1. I had to try and get some joy out of the damn game. This was in fact my first game this season today live, I haven't been a stay away or anything like that, just haven't been in the country or had the cash. At half time (compared to the matches on tv that I've caught) I thought it all looked really promising, but what followed at kick off was unbelievable. It was as if they just watched them run through and score. I mean, from kick off., they made three along the floor passes and were in our box?!! WTF?? Then we just looked terrified and didn't pick up until the crowd really got rowdy, maybe it was the fear that picked them up. Then came the formation change which just looked as though the team had no idea what was going on... They honestly hadn't a clue, so many shrugging shoulders and players seeming to mark each other. I predicted before this game that we would likely beat Barnsley (the toughest looking game of the three) and then go on to lose the seemingly winable games V Donny and Delia's lot. I hope I'm wrong and we can get three there and just hope other results go our way. Otherwise this will be the end for us I'm afriad. I fully expect us to go into admin before my birthday in March, as we will prob be looking dead and burried by then anyhow. I'll still prob go to Norwich though. If we're going down I'm going down singing. OWTS!
  15. Suriving on the last day in L1 in 2010
  16. Just got a text from a friend who works at Ladbrooks inside the ground that Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez all haven't travelled... with Saints at 9/1 the bookies are apparently quite nervous...
  17. Talking of the weekend game.... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/articles/article.php?page_id=11157 I had to LOL... (Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere!)
  18. "...And those seats down there used to be filled with fans..."
  19. I think we'd draw. :-P My Missus is from Leicester and tells me they'd destroy us. She also loves to tell me how funny it is that we're going to swap places in May... I still think it'd be a draw... as is the nature of us playing Teams that actually play football. Is good to see Matty Oakley doing well for them though.
  20. Losing these three games will only make the current situation of it "Not being in our hands" even worse. I really do not want to spend the rest of the season hoping everyone else slips up and that we sneak a few draws and catch up. The way this season has gone so far and the way its looking can only make me think we will flounder and not get anything from these games. After the win (last league win in fact) against Reading the agenda forced it down our throats as the begining of a new dawn, and it was only up from here... Even I, with my usual glass half empty view point couldn't concieve that we'd go on to not get anouther win since. I imagine a draw against them at home is seen as an example of how outstanding our 4-2-2-1-1 formation is and that our pretty football is once again about to bear fruit. Will it hell. I've aready started thinking about how I'd feel about a bottom-mid table finish in L1 next year... Following and supporting Saints is becoming a real stress and depression excercise as of the last two years and I do sometimes find myself wishing at times that I had no interest but I can't ignore it. And as much as I sometimes feel detached from the current team as if its not in fact my Team at all the fact still remains that they are playing in my home citys Red and White with my clubs crest on the shirt. So for whats its worth.... I'd love 9 points, I'd settle for 6-7 and consider it an achievment. I think we will take 2 or 3 at best. Either winnning the first and then throwing it away with silly results after, or just bore drawing away, which would be fine if we weren't getting tonked at home all the time... Rant over!! Happy New Year everyone!!!
  21. Rupert Un-United FC 0 - 7 Reading On a plus note we do string some passes together and it looks pretty. And after the game Kevin Doyle says we really are one of the best teams he's played against ever in his life and says how unlucky we were, Rupes asks him if he can write this in a letter signed anonymous for some reason... Jan refuses to blame the "kids" but won't take the blame himself or put it on anyone else for that matter, when asked what he will try differently in the next match he says something has to be done about the attack and a new fomation is needed. Against Manure RUUFC play in a 6-4-0. Even with 6 defenders they lose in double figures... Not that I've lost faith or anything... :-P But fwiw... COYR's!!!!
  22. Randomly I actually dreamt we had sold Lallana and Drew last night... woke up and saw this... odd...
  23. Have to say... Earnshaw ALWAYS scores against us... grrrrrrrrrr
  24. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee... Oh this is brilliant..... FFS!!!
  25. That's him! I was close with the name then!!
