Got told today that all the Pompey matches are being moved to the gay adult channel... Apparently 11 arseholes getting hammered every week is too explict for Sky Sports... I'll get my coat...
-
Not sure if is been said elsewhere, but there was little bit on SSN earlier today abou tonights match. They pointed out that Lambert is top scorer in whole of England. I know we're league one, but its still good to hear. :-)

Seems more of an interogation than an interview!!
-
As a point of interest I'm fairly sure that I heard we have NEVER lost to the skates in a cup competiton in our history. Is this true?
-
knee jerk reaction much???! One game a season does not make...
-
Did anyone else find it odd that they once again seem to have forgotten our billionaire owner? When the question was asked by a fan e-mail "are they any football league teams that could be in the champions league within 5-6 years?" who did they go straight to...? Notts County... ffs... :-P
-
Talking of stupid comments anyone else notice our tannoy say "and the third substitution for Wimbled....er.... MK Dons is..." :-D
-
To be fair its alot better than itv's quite horrible efforts so I'll put up with her odd comments. At least they show (just about) more than the goals with some build up ply too, plus always from a normal camera angle, never itv's odd "drunk cam" from the touchline. It used to get me fuming when our highlights were shown like that, through bodies and legs at knee height with camera shakes for effect...

I put this one on the end of the Lambert song thread... "Dance, Dance, when Waigo scores in red, with his left, his right or even with his head, he danced when he scored a goal in italy, and he'll dance when he scores for Southampton FC" To the tune of "Lord of the dance"...
-
Was giving this some thought the other day... Something along the lines of that "lord of the dance" song? "Dance, Dance, when Waigo scores in Red, With his left, his right or even his head, he danced when he scored a goal in italy and he'll dance when he scores for Southampton FC..." ...shall i get my coat..??? I should point out that I am very bored...

Saints 2-2 (5-3 on pens) Torquay - Match Reaction
St.Thomas7 replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
In case anyone is wondering I just woke up to see the highlights on SSN. All the goals plus their missed pen and Wotton's winner. I'd imagine this means they'll be up on the sky sports website by tomoro. HTH -
I just want us to start winning games. Is that so much to ask? Why can't we score?? (Please don't answer that)

Just having a look at this and going back to the initial post, I was there, I was sat in Block 10 Itchen so was at the end Waigo was attacking in line with the edge of the box. Waigo did only get 20mins which actually co-incided with the referee losing it a bit and going card happy for the fun of it, Papa in fact picked up a very harsh booking for closing a Yeovil defender down and winning the ball, which in itself says someting. He was closing down. He ran and ran and ran, apparently something we're crying out for according to many on here. He was caught offside 4 times with 3 looking and harsh and I'm willing to say 2 of which weren't offside at all. He got a couple of shots in and actually troubled their goalie who to be fair hadn't had alot to do (except pick Lamberts pens out of the net) prior to Waigo's arrival. He looks good and thats from the short amount of time he's been given. IMO and from what little i can gather from this brief outing he will get better as he adapts to 3rd tier football. I hope that's a little more useful than someone saying he's not that great when they haven't even seen him play. I can only assume that judgement was based on the fact he wasn't featured on The football league show highlights?
-
Can't really loan him... He hasn't got a club! And I'm pretty sure Theo is quicker than Henri!!
-
It was both of them. Not sure why? However, I do remember the Archers singing "Robbie is a Virgin" to Gaffney through out unitl someone pointed out that he lost his virginity to Well-Hard (the Dog). :-D

A friend who works at the ground tells me he had them all out doing circuit training after the fans had gone so think AP realises this and is on it ;-)

I have to say I was actually really happy with the show, much better than itv and the championship coverage was pretty much all a few highlights plus goals rather than itv's clueless 2 secs as the ball crosses the line... Of course its only going to be the goals and major talking points (Davis pen save) from L1/2. The show is an hour and a half, I got the impression they were over-running anyway toward the end. Loved the Norwich highlights, (they were 40-1 to go down before yesterday, I wonder if that has changed?) you just know on itv, with it being league 1 we wouldn't of seen all the goals and one of those championship games would of been shown via drunk touchline cam. One bad point was that you could clearly tell that the show was being filmed in some old warehouse as the echo on the acoustics was silly at times! all in all good show, not sure you need the email and texts thing though... 9/10
