Whoops, Gazzanigga.. Playing alongside Romeu too.

Lambert fitted that description too!

I don't visit The Lounge very often but when I saw the OP and thread title I thought to myself, what is the sad old loony going on about this time? My expectations were not confounded. In the distant past I think I once called him Fire-and-Forget Missile but even that seems too high a level of intelligence.

Yeah! CA?

Although that fan analysis was reasonable I have hopes that with Fernandes and Lesley in midfield we'll have more drive there, along with maybe Dibling coming on earlier. Will Cornet and/or Fraser play as they too will add a bit of experience and directness? Something has got to change, obviously, the main thing perhaps is not giving the ball away in stupid positions although shooting and finishing from a few yards out would also help..

The Bugle and a quaffing pint of Flowerpots (somethingorother) sat in the sun whilst waiting for a friend to finish work. Probably around £1.50 more than the same pint in the GD or SW!

Not if they've any sense..

Not just that but it's combined with deceptive speed and great balance. As for scouts being at games: of course there are, there are no real undiscovered gems in professional football, but there is obviously continuous assessment and re-assessment going on. The optimist in me hopes to see him at the weekend, and if he scores it won't be a great surprise to anybody..

I popped into a 'Spoons once for a pre-match pint, think it was The Giddy Bridge, and they had Koenig from Antwerp, on draft. I'd had it over there but that was keg and it was so much better and more drinkable on draft. Can't remember the game though as I took the chance to have more than one.. The South Western and Guide Dog are both good bets and the prices are decent - I had a wince inducing priced pint in Hamble this lunchtime. As mentioned the former is popular with away fans and when a Hull City supporting friend told me, in jest, that she couldn't tell me where they'd all be drinking I told her!

One issue is that most women footballers play on Sunday afternoons so they and friends and family can't watch the higher level stuff. When Saints played Portsmouth in the cup at Havant's ground last year I saw plenty of local players I know as they didn't have games that week. ISTR but not sure that one or two games might even have been postponed. Obviously the same applies to higher level men's Saturday football, but the far larger Sunday amateur game isn't impacted in the same way.

It seems like it to us supporters!

All the players on that pitch immediately knew it was serious, the crowd too I think. Yes, never the same, although still a decent player, and you wonder 'what if' it hadn't have happened.

Even bigger shame..

Nope, data shows that they don't. The Luton airport and Liverpool city centre fires were both caused by diesel Range/Landrovers and the Fremantle Highway car carrier ship was also caused by an ICE and all the BEVs drove off unscathed. If you ever get caught in a riot and hit by a petrol bomb hope you're in an EV as you'll have a far higher chance of escaping with no fuel lines and tank to easily catch fire. An EV battery has a very strong outer casing to protect it. In August Norway car sales were 94% BEV, so if I were in an ICE there I'd start to be worried about petrol station closures! Obviously not yet due to the long tail of second hand cars, but there must come a stage where many outlets decide to give up.

Is that working days? Just match days, and how are you classing mid-week matches?

Doesn't guilt make an appearance? Guilt at being a Saints fan?

Gawd, anything new would be a result!

I came to that conclusion whilst I was in the queue for the footbridge.. Early on I realised that I wasn't going to make the earlier train, but in the future I really don't want to join the early leaving crowd unless it's a late evening K.O.

That's so close to his normal posting style it's difficult to tell...

I used my last two at the Forest game.:-( Must be near (my friend's) renewal time!

6 out of the 9 teams featuring there lost: so dribbling per se is not necessarily the answer! Mind you, he was a breath of fresh air..

Goals in his blood? Ma che cazzo...

Um.. the other Sunday I put two weaker foot crosses into the box: both times I glanced up to see if it was worthwhile.. But we are so pedestrian, as has been pointed out by so many on here. It won't work in the Premiership, where we need more ambition, quicker thinking and not allowing the opponents time to reset. The defenders are, by and large, stronger, quicker, cannier and we need imagination and the unexpected to score. At the moment we show no signs of doing so, a few on target shots would help as would people getting somewhere near the opponents goal; the gaping gaps in the final third are embarassing.

We've all seen Adams miss them too!
