Could be worse like that time I took a friend's dog for a walk, it had diarrhoea and I have a very strong gag reflex..
-
Is SAA playing against Leipzig, which might have impacted his appearance for the first team.
-
Cornet! I'd forgotten about him..
-
I'd reverse those two fixtures, but yes..
-
Nah, it works the other way round for them: 'on a blazing day on the south coast'..
-
Yep! It appears to mean recycling the ball around the back line again as nobody wants to take responsibility and lose possession with a difficult forward pass. HTH!
-
You would hope it would be the Thursday as we are playing very late on the Sunday and again Sunday afternoon, but I've given up expecting common sense or fairness from the administrators.
-
You'll love the home game against Spurs then..
-
Well, I was wondering how Fernandez will cope with a wet mid-week January match at the bet365 [!]..
-
Obviously no one is happy with our season or the way we risk so much _always_ playing out from the back or the strange substitions etc. etc., but my goodness, some of you do love to wallow in misery. I suppose being Saints fans we have to be a little masochistic but some of you are really hard core.. In the end it'll be the Everton game that may really depress us all. In the meantime I found the slightly twitchy nature of City under pressure towards the end of the game quite amusing. They could have got many more, like all the predictions on here, but they didn't and we defended resolutely so why not take a little glimmer of satisfaction from that? Haaland will beast a lot stronger and better CBs than Bednarek. Anyway a wet Tuesday against Stoke next up and at least it's at home..

Years since I've been to Manchester so can't help on pubs but I do recall the decent prices and Joseph Holt's pubs delivering in larger barrels due to their turnover. In Southampton drinking in a 'spoons will save you £3 a pint, which is not to be sneezed at, but in Manchester I wouldn't bother unless a quick one on the way somewhere else.

I have found you can get to see some football, but only after some 'really, well my word!?' moments.. I think Saturday comments are going to be less surprise, more cries of misery..
-
Is it on telly? No? Good! And don't anybody get any ideas about posting dodgy stream links as I might click on it by mistake.

I didn't realise that, he seems older, so perhaps there is room for improvement. He already has some of the basic attributes we've been missing.
-
Oh heck! They have a very nice pint at £1.99 and somebody gave me some 50p off CAMRA vouchers...
-
That'll teach me to ask a rhetorical question! 😉

She doesn't like LGBTetc, mothers, civil servants, foreigners, anybody who is at all diverse, autistic etc. Who _is_ she appealing to?

Just saw the reference to the Spurs game: bloomin 'eck, it's true! At least I should be able to make my afternoon game which is actually against a Southampton area team, but that is giving no thought to the fans. I've chatted in the pub to people who go to the games by bus, and they were complaining about Sunday during the day, so at that time they've no chance.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2024/oct/15/david-squires-lawyerball-cartoon Oh, I do like David Squires, and this is a good one..

This is the weekend where I spend my £15 on pre-match refreshments on beers in 'Spoons and as a result fall asleep in my seat, happily oblivious to the result..

I haven't seen this link posted elsewhere on the board, so it might as well go here: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/oct/14/is-it-naive-for-a-promoted-side-to-play-possession-football-in-the-premier-league Some interesting comments. Personally I'd like to get the 7% up a little bit (only Spurs on less), just for variety's sake and to keep other teams something else to think about..
-
LOL, my stream died at half time so I went off and spent my time more productively. A wise move, I now see!
-
England showing all of Saints' faults, just with better players..

Well, you can't beat getting a bit of air into your lungs by having a good laugh!
