Massimo ...sei cattivo! :-)

"Ho hum, I was thinking before the game that having a big expectant crowd always seems to backfire on Saints. Not necessarily how well they play but the infernal bloomin result.." I take it all back! Finally!! What do we reckon the crowd will be next home game? The Italians can't believe we get 20K+ for 3rd division football.

panic all over the world

Cheers Mush, have PM'ed you. Grazie

Even the locals think OTH is a ****er.. Just because we are becoming a bit more enthusiastic we are now "arrogant"! A few sensible voices though, and how the club will appreciate our gate money!
-
I think we should also remember that AP seems him every day in training so has a lot more to go on than we have.

Hmmm, Flybe Geneva - Southampton... Can't really afford it, but let's see towards the end of the season, eh?

Well, if you narrow it down to the last 3 and a bit years that I've been in Italy the finer moments I suspect have been completely absent! From my searches of the internet P2P stuff there really hasn't been much coverage and I don't think the takeover was televised! I can understand families wanting TV but as a grown adult I really don't miss it, there's far too much else to do. If I want to sit in front of a screen there's always this forum... and it IS annoying that even short little video clips can't be shown here. You'd think it would be good publicity and marketing to at least allow If we get to the play-offs I'll hustle a few more private English lessons and fly over to watch us live!

It's sad to say but ART told us before he arrived about his only putting in the playing effort to get contracts and he has been been proved right.

Where I live in the Italian Alps I don't get any TV at all, which given the quality of Berlusconi's craap is no great loss. Mind you, perhaps I might if I bought a TV!! It is annoying not being able to see little video clips of footie on the BBC's web-site when everything else is available. Mind you, with Saints' recent lapse into obscurity it's not as if there's been much to search for around the local sports' bars!

and then he pancaked I presume... Sorry... Dad ex RAF...

Hah, If there were a sweepstake I'd go for more....

Bloody hell Alpine, it feels great to agree with you! Alps rule!

I'm back! Before midnight as I'm playing tomorrow. Quite a few wines since I left, a beer and now I've been down to my cellar for an Adnams Broadside (or two). Still a big grin on my face...
-
Apppppeerrrritivo time! Byeeee, I may be a little while! ..and I'm in the squad for tomorrow, I feel a subs appearance and a goal coming on.....

weee - just hit refresh and there it was! Bit worried we're not scoring from open play though.... -
Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of too! It must be living in the Alps that does it [cough cough].

I saw him once, can't remember which game: possibly the Reading one when I was over on a visit, and I was impressed at his directness and speed. He didn't seem tall but solid in the way Danny Wallace was. I once spoke to DW at a London Saints social and standing next to him gave a completely different impression to what you saw in the stands: absolutely brick out-house solid!
-
Doctoroncall, don't think we can keep this joke up much longer......
-
Yep, saw him up at Huddersfield (quite a drive from Italy!) and although we were generally crap he _can_ tackle and use his height to head the ball, it's just that it isn't the major feature of his game. Definitely quality and he's still young and, not a quality to be underated, not an Academy dwarf.
-
Should be OK if he can stroke the ball around a bit and occasionally stick an oar in.
