Gr8 OP and fantastic post from Halo. Is this really the same forum, have I come to the right site, so many positive comments, its marvellous!! Alpine, we will win the league, not simply gain promotion but we will win the title. Have faith, we are on the road to success!! COYR

I have never wanted to see Saints lose a game but for the first time ever I find myself hoping we get knock out of the cup. The reason is simple: we must get out of this league this season and we cannot afford too many more distractions from our primary focus, promotion. Last years cup runs probably cost us a place in the play offs; we do not need to risk further distraction with a win or even worst a draw and have to play a replay. I hope, indeed pray that NA puts out a weak team and rests key players. What is the point of feilding a full strength team today in a game that is almost meaningless? Will we win the FA Cup? Highly highly unlikely. Why risk injury, bookings and suspension? Our real game is on Tuesday away at Exeter, that we must must win and we need our key players in full fitness, ready to win. In the last two leagues we have looked distracted, consequently we have only 1 point from 6. This is the overwhemly reason why we must get of this cup quickly.

He's playing very well atm; many forget his work rate and the number of chances he creates, its not just about scoring goals. He'll still be our top scorer this season and he will definitely cut it in the CCC.

Daily Mail: "Lallana offered bumper 3 year deal"
Ian the Red replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
If AL and AC have any sense they'll stay. Let's face they will both be playing in the PL with SFC in 2 seasons!! Patience is all that is needed and we need to offer both near to PL salary - or a bonus to keep them based on promotion/goals scored/assists - to keep them both......... -
Just listened to the interview, excellent, just f$%^ing excellent!! I have always been in the pro NC camp and I trust that now everyone can see he is geniune bloke who truely wants to see Saints back in the top flight and not simply hanging in there but challenging for the top of the league. Very refreshing to have someone running our club who has the business skills to make SFC a hugely successful club and who is extremely positive and forward thinking individual. COYR

We do need to strengthen. Once the league is won we have the Championship to considered, so we need to build the squad taking into account next season as well. We only have real pace in AOC; JP is out of sorts so we need more pace in midfield and certainly a striker with pace as well. Plus, as other have said, will Seaborn and Jaidi make the grade in the championship next season? So a quick striker, midfield/winger with pace plus a decent CD.

Ivan Golac without a doubt. Superb player. Remember the goal he scored against I think WBA, absolute screamer. Think he was the first overseas player to play in a cup final, League Cup vrs Notts Forrest in '79, beat the two agries in Spurs team by a couple of months......

Yes, Happy Birthday Matt, wish yuo were 20 years younger and still playing!!

There is obviously a huge element of doubt. If it was as clear cut as some posters would have us believe then I am sure Barney would have charged by now. Innocent until proven guilty, that is what English Law is all about, so get behind LB, show our support for him as a Saints player. Agree the Club should take some action against the three of them, out p!"£$d up at 3am is not what I would expect, fine would be suitable in this instance, but the supprters need to get behind Barney, remember he is innocent until proven guilty and remember Dave Jones.............

Yep, I'm in!!

Excellent OP Dune! I wasn't completely sure of NA appointment but I have been very impressed so far. Not only does he talk a great deal of sense, he is obviously passionate and has a strong desire to succeed. Coming home from Yeovil last week, to hear NA comments were a real eye opener - he wasnt happy with a draw, said why and clearly stated that the players would play his way. On Saturday we saw the players holding the ball and passing much better and not giving the ball away so often - the main problem at Yeovil. The real test will come when we play on an appalling pitch on a cold winter night and go 1 down, then we will see if a plan B exists........... which I do believe NA has already worked out is simply waiting to be used!!!

Dislocated shoulders can be very painful; I know I have dislocated my shoulder twice playing football. As stated above its not so much the bone coming out of the socket; it's the damage to the ligament and muscle tissue. As for keeping fit, would have been difficult in the early stages as any shudden or jolting movement would have been very painful - walking at a reasonable pace would have been acceptable!!

The reason that people are **** off with the forum is that there are too many negative, dull, anti NC posters who really have no idea of the real world. Apart from them there are some very good posts on here..........

All doom and gloom!! We are 9 points from the top of the table, probabaly a couple of players short of decent team. Last season at this time we were 4 or 5 players short and around 25 points from the top. Good players do not become bad players overnight. We need a little bit of luck, the rub of the green, a goal and a win and the players will find their feet and we'll start winning again. NC will be successful; people like NC do not do failure - he will succeed in his/the Leibherr family goal; he will not fail his friend's ambition. A little patience is all that is needed from the supporters. Christ we still have 39 league games to go!!!

Went last year, great fun. Parked right outside away terracing and takes minutes to get out at the end. have tickets again so will be there for 2nd consecutive away win!

NA is a qualified physio, so think he probably does know a thing or two!
-
No gripes, if I had any there is nothing that can be done, so get behind the manager and the team. Once we have won this s**t league I wonder how many will be knocking NC then???

Kevin is not really in "a good place" right now but he has a loving family and last night proved many people care about him still. excuse my ignorance but what's up with Kevin? great player, great memories from my early days as a saints fan This is from the information on Otterbourne FC website: Kevin is now seriously ill with Frontotemporal Dementia (also known as ‘Picks’ disease), which is similar in its debilitating effects to Alzheimer’s, but it attacks its victims at a much younger age. Since diagnosis Kevin’s condition has deteriorated and now in his early 50’s he is in need of around the clock care and supervision. Very, very, sad......

Magnificent!! I was stood behind the goal in the upper tier, D9. From the moment the ball left Bobby Stokes' foot you could see Stepney had no chance. Fantastic moment, even as a 13 year old something I will never forget. Maybe when we turn out in the Champions League in 5 years it will be as exciting..........
-
You are absolutely right; there is no way this team can win 3 out of next 4, they will win all 4!!!

SISA and the Saints trust are a complete waste of space run by looooosers who have no idea. They certainly DO NOT SPEAK FOR SAINTS FANS and the Club and local ragg should know this point.

But this is only hear say, and rumour, no one has seen this text message have they????
