  1. I was in the Chapel last night; after the Lallana appeal was turned down and the vitriol towards the ref I turned to my mate and said we'd get a dodgy pen at some point, and we duly did.
  2. Well as Adkins said the other day, if he plays for us once he can't play for anyone else this season, so I guess the earliest he's likely to go is in the summer.
  3. Would you have said the same thing to anyone who suggested that Blackburn might win at United a few weeks back? Not saying it will happen, but of course it's possible that Forest could get a result.
  4. A post count of 17,903 against 587 would suggest that you are more in need of a visit than me.
  5. On a slight tangent, Dave Merrington likes to call Aaron Martin 'Alvin' Martin. Plus my mate's dad used to say Marion 'Farars' and Claus 'Ludvekam'.
  6. Any doubt that the OP is a troll has now disappeared in my view.
  7. And the moral of the story is..........
  8. I've got 2; 9 year-old boy and 7 year-old girl. I fully agree with the poster above regarding it being so much harder with two; I don't really understand why but it is!! My brother and sister-in-law have just had their third, and I must say it's fantastic to be able to hand the baby back as soon as he kicks-off. As we've got one of each that'll be it for us, although for some reason I've got no inclination to have the snip. That said there'd be no need, as I find that not having sex is equally as good a contraceptive.........
  9. The Smiths. If I ever get to see Morrissey and Marr performing on the same stage I shall die a happy man.
  10. Hope it goes well for him down there; as someone mentioned above I did think he might go to a more stronger club than Yeovil given that he played well in a team that got promoted from the same division last season. Plus I'll always remember the crucial second he got against Plymouth which effectively sealed our promotion.
  11. I wasn't that impressed with Maynard, but perhaps that was the performance of someone who knows they're not going to be at the club much longer. Far more impressed with Adomah; it seemed that the ball was attached to his right foot the entire match, we couldn't get near him!! It was always going to be a one-goal match last night, and I have to say that we had no lucky breaks/bounces all night, whereas the ball went straight to their players not once but twice for their goal.
  12. So has he been asked what's going on in relation to him being out of favour with us yet?
  13. Fair do's; from my view in the Chapel it looked like Guly just slid to ground having not quite got to the ball. He didn't seem to appeal either, which generally says a lot!
  14. Yeah the ref totally ballsed that up; he forgot to blow his whistle to indicate the start of the minute's silence, then remembered about 15 seconds later. This confused the entire stadium who had previously been silent, thus prompting a half-hearted 40-odd seconds of applause! I thought he was generally quite poor, and the free-kick he gave us for the "foul" on Guly that led to our second goal wasn't a foul in a million years. Also as posted above the Saints players were hardly "doing a Man U at Old Trafford" for the second yellow; about 3 players held their hands up as if to say "have a word" and that was it. Not exactly demanding "justice" from the referee. Ferguson is clearly somewhat bitter over the fact that the man who wasn't good enough to play for his Preston team that was destined for relegation to League 1 has now scored in 3 successive games against him.
  15. You don't do much to alter the stereotype of women and football do you; first Hammond's a journeyman and now he's going to get a 3 match ban for two yellows, hmmmmmm. Anyway, back to the game; we weren't at the races but nicked an excellent away point; sign of a good team if you ask me.
  16. Credit where credit's due to the officials!!
  17. I've watched the first penalty incident four or five times but still can't see the handball?! Lambert appealed, but I think as he thought he'd been fouled. Also the keeper dived over Holmes' shot, not that I'm complaining.
  18. Cotterill's currently neck and neck with Poyet in the manager I hate the most stakes. His interview on The Football League show after the West Ham match was embarrassing; Lawrence's first yellow was for an appalling challenge that should have earned a straight red, and he tried to argue it wasn't even deserving of a yellow.
  19. To be fair to DMG I he scored his fair share of goals in a sh!t team, and playing up front on his own most of the time. Plus he did provide one of the very few high points of that season with his last minute winner at Preston. But yes, ineffective is the most polite word I can think of to summarise his efforts today.
  20. If I was a Forest fan I'd have come away wondering how the hell they didn't win that game, let alone lose it! Second half they could easily have scored 5, and none of the numerous goalmouth scrambles ran their way. Derbyshire is a diving little t@sser though, and I remember that trait from his Blackburn days. I thought a lot of players looked very leggy as the second half went on, which surprised me as I think as a squad we're pretty fit these days. I fully agree with #108 above re Fox; at times he was having to run 30 yards to get anywhere near his winger and this happened alarmly often. Guly for me was superb today, the first two goals owed an awful lot to him, and he ran himself into the ground. Also agree with the other comments regarding the 5 mins injury time; I don't remember any stoppages in the second half so that was a complete mystery. It was also quite refreshing to see a centre-back who's less mobile than Jaidi; Wes Morgan tek a boo son!!
  21. Has he pleaded guilty without anyone telling me? Based on a lot of the posts on this thread you'd have thought he has.
  22. I've been going to the chippy in Netley for over 30 years and have never had reason to change.
  23. On a kind of related subject, does anyone know if the club are releasing new training kit for this season? When I checked the on-line store the other day all I could find was this season's new home and away kits.
  24. Aren't they those long doughnut things? I like them.
