Looks like he's re-enacting (sp?) the famous Willem Defoe scene from Platoon.

Happy New Year all; I can only hope that 2009 ends with Saints still being in The Championship and me still having a job, but at this moment at least one of these is highly unlikely..
-
And the use of the double-negative is shocking.
-
Didn't Baird feature for Fulham against Spurs the other day, and help them keep a clean sheet? Seems that he's come back in from the cold there so I'd be very surprised if he was to come back here.
-
What does it matter; our last game was against Plymouth?
-
D'oh, just realised that you're talking about Wotton, not Pulis?! Fair comment in that case. Maybe I should wake up a bit more before I start making comments on here.
-
My recollection of the comments on here about the signing of Pulis was that they were 99.9% negative, so maybe "shouted down" is a bit of an overstatement?
-
Not sure if I'm in the minority here, but I find it easier watching Saints lose in the flesh than listening to it on the radio? At least when I see it with my own eyes I haven't got the false hope that's usually built-up by the commentator on Solent. Not going today though.

A regulation home win for a team that had taken 1 point from their last 5 games I think. Does anyone else have that sinking feeling?
-
At least we've benefited from his expert penalty-taking ability this season....
-
I'm certain they weren't £4 last year; £3.50 at most. They're nice but there's no way I'm paying £4 for a hot-dog when you need to eat at least 2 of them to be anywhere near full.

If memory serves me right we were 2-0 up from the first leg at The Dell. Then in the first couple of minutes of the away leg Jason Cundy got sent off for Chelsea for a professional foul and MLT tucked away the pen. Game over after a minute, then all my mates and I had to worry about was if we were going to get our heads kicked in by angry Chelsea fans after the game; that was in the days when there used to be cars parked behind the goals at Stamford Bridge, God knows what that was all about. Then for reasons still unknown to me I didn't go to the final...

Last time I checked my achiles wasn't in the same place as my knee, but maybe Killer's is?
-
It wasn't the fans who made him captain was it, so clearly the Saints management and medical teams were relatively confident that he was fit enough. Anyway, let's not write him off just yet, although of course plenty of the posters on here love a good, old-fashioned knee-jerk reaction.....

Saints vs Plymouth - First Half and Half Time
Jesus Reigned replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Shots on target, Saints 8 Plymouth 0. Just a matter of time before Plymouth's first shot and goal then... -
So one Plymouth goalscorer from the week-end not even in the squad, and the other only on the bench. Not exactly a team of household names, but no doubt we'll soon find out how hardworking they are. And Folly being in the team concerns me......
-
I think the Tranmere game might well have been his last appearance for Saints. I remember seeing him in such dives as Jumpin' Jaks on a Friday night quite often, which sums it up I spose.
-
Hmmmm, Kevin Gibbens; now playing for the mighty VTFC in the Wessex League..
-
When we avenged our 5-0 hammering with a rousing 0-0 draw...
-
+1.
-
Name them then and I'll let you know if I agree....
-
Well for me personally it's a good idea, as I live in Woolston and work in town pretty much 9-5. Therefore, whereas previously I'd have had to treck down there in my lunch hour, I can now drop in on my way to work, if I feel so inclined of course.....
-
I think I heard some time ago that their season tickets are ridiculously cheap too...
