Saints V Sheff Utd build up thread

Sheff Utd unbeaten in last 9 away games; last away defeat was Sheff Weds away in October; not making me fell any more confident about a Saints win... -

Oh **** it, I forgot Darius Henderson plays for Utd; he only ever seems to score against us. -
Throw the guy a frickin' bone; he's had two games, one away at a side who had won their previous game 4-0 and we came back from 2-0 down, the other against a team that's unbeaten in 13 and gave our "friends" down the road a lesson just last week-end. I always thought I was half-empty til I joined this forum; now I'd probably be called happy-clappy.....

All about opinions eh!

Excellent point after being forced to play with 10 men for 40 minutes. And I also like the sound of Wotte from his post-match interview on Solent; I can understand what he's saying for a start which always helps!

I think it was the silver and black that I liked too. And the cool bloke on their helmet(oo-er) with the eye-patch! Think it was 1985 or 86; 46-10 Bears and William 'The Refridgerator" Perry scored, but one of the best running backs of all-time, Walter Payton (sp?) didn't. For a few years in the late 80s I was more into the American Football than good old Association Football, but not watched it properly for a few years now.

I do know that buddy, take a chill pill!

Apparently she'll become world number 1 if she wins. Good to have a promising female prospect, and at least she'll want England to win the football World Cup... Good luck to her.

When are the Raiders gonna get good again? They were always "my team" going back to the days of Marcus Allen, but they've been awful for years now. You'd have thought with the draft system they'd have had a decent spell in the last 15 years, but they're always crap. I'm not a big fan by the way, used to watch it a lot a few years ago (first Super Bowl I watched was Bears-v-Patriots,XX), but am just curious.

All the best to him; I've always thought he's one of the better presenters on SSN even before I found out he was a Saints fan, I remember he used to do a betting slot on the week-end's sporting events on a Friday. Not as pretty as Georgie though.

Sums it all up rather nicely I feel.

Loaning Dyer out has to be the least understandable one given that he can't be on that great a wage; I bet he bit our hand off when we offered him a contract straight after his conviction?
-
You'll be the one wearing the Hoddle mask?
-
Exactly; bit of a rock and a hard place question, but was interested to know what people's opinions were!
-
What if we play Norwich off the park on Tuesday (unlikely I know)?
-
If you were given two options yesterday, ie things could either stay as they were or Wotte could come in, which would you have chosen? I know we're still screwed to put it mildly, but I was wondering if people think, relatively at least, that we're better off with Wotte in charge than we were with Poortvliet?
-
Great.
-
It doesn't say that he's left the club, so maybe he's staying on the coaching staff but just not as Head Coach?
-
From the moment Downing scored the equaliser for 'Boro in our relegation season from the Prem I was certain we'd go down, and it did make it easier to take when it was confirmed. I have the same feeling after the Doncaster defeat so my mind is now preparing for the worst (well relegation at least).
-
He probably had about 5 to chose from so didn't have a clue which one to go to first.
-
If that's the total cost for all the remaining games and includes lots of alcohol then it's worth considering.
-
Well given that as a nation we never learn anyone else's language and expect them to all speak English, Cope no doubt expected Size to be fluent in both English and all our little phrases as he's been in the UK for at least 3 days....

That's what having an experienced centre-back who's prepared to put their head in where it hurts can do for you. Sounded relatively comfortable after we scored too. The silence when we scored on Solent was deafening; look forward to hearing from the hardy souls on their return from Yorkshire tonight!
-
Great result. Look forward to hearing from any of the brave souls who trekked up to Yorkshire later.
