I currently have a "standard" Sky box and want to get Sky+ as cheaply as possible. I don't want Sky+HD, or Sky multi-room, just bog-standard Sky+. I called Sky today to be advised that I could get it for £60 if I was able to recommend a friend to join Sky, but if not it would cost me £149 for the box and £60 installation. Whilst not a natural haggler I gave it a go, ie I said I was considering getting either Sky+ or replacing my hard-drive DVD recorder which has packed in, and what's the best they can do for me, but the girl I spoke to wasn't having any of it. Anyone got any advice as to the cheapest way for me to get Sky+; £210 strikes me as somewhat pricey?! Cheers.

Somewhat surprisingly perhaps he wasn't in the chocolate aisle, although he did have at least 4 bottles of wine in his trolley; maybe he's turned to drink since his stint in charge?

Not particularly exciting I know, but guess he hasn't found alternative employment yet. Must still have a few quid left over from his settlement package...

Indeed, he makes me look fat, and that's saying something!!

If he comes near anyone's kids HE'LL probably do time.

I will say that they had some good pubs serving good ale, and the locals were very friendly!

I may not be right but I think he may have scored against us for both Preston and QPR in the season before last? The one against QPR was at SMS when he ran the ball into an empty net following some comical defending; yes, I know I should narrow it down a bit....... -

Good enough to score twice against us in recent seasons if memory serves me right?! -
Having just watched the brief highlights on BBC I'm now again as angry as I was on Saturday. Saga's "goal" was never off-side; having watched it a few times he was at worst level with the last defender when Lallana miscued his shot. You can also tell from his and Lambert's immediate reactions it was a joke. And the handball against Trottman; he was already in the air anticipating heading the ball when it was flicked-on onto his hand, never in a million years hand to ball or intentional. It tainted my night out in Stockport on Saturday (not the best prospect regardless of the result I admit) and has now f*cked me off all over again!!!

I think Leeds won their first 9 games or something similar when they started on -15; we'll be lucky to be at zero after 9 games....

I'd never do steroids; I think God made me this way for a reason, although other than for acting as a spare goalpost in times of emergency I can't think what the reason is...

I'm just booked into the Premier Inn in Stockport central, £55 for twin-room, no brekky. Don't think you'll find much for any less, and I assume you want Manchester anyway?

Tickets are purchased, hotel is booked for Saturday night; bring it on!!

I'm going with the wife and kids in a couple of weeks; we last went about 3 years ago and the kids loved it then; shame about the monkeys though..... We're using Tesco Clubcard vouchers as you can quadruple the value at places such as Longleat, Legoland, etc, which makes it a cheap day out.

Good for you Ed; the lure of Natalie Sawyer was too much eh?! Can't say I blame you...

No I was about 7, come on!!

Only if you insure with them I assume?

No doubt Carsten Janker will be his Number Two.....

It's called "Fronting", and whilst I don't think it's illegal the insurance company will almost certainly put two and two together if/when you make a claim, refuse to pay out and cancel the policy from inception. Plus you can't earn any NCD as a named driver, so may as well bite the bullet, get your own policy, earn your own NCD and wait until you're an old git like me!!

TBF that War of the Worlds album scared the crap out of me when I was a kid too....

Anyone else remember Bejam?!(sp?)

Last time I saw him play he got away with drop-kicking Ostlund in the chest for West Brom. Good luck to him.

Bournemouth are clearly so wealthy that they don't need 1500 Saints fans buying beer. I was far from happy at discovering this, having been told by the what I thought was helpful programme seller outside the ground that beer was on sale inside. And I almost forgot about the Bournemouth keeper handballing outside the area, us getting the free-kick and the ref not even having a word with him; why did they even bother with a referee in that case?! Not as good a day as I hoped it would be to put it midlly, particularly as I was sat far too close to the aforementioned "yoof" and their wonderful songs.....

I was watching Murty doing shuttle-runs at Bournemouth on Saturday, and he had the acceleration of a Lada. Would still think there's a place for him if he has some pacy support, as his experience should be very useful next season.
