  1. Agreed - put in a real shift, held the ball up, stood up, made space, brought others into play - definitely deserved a goal
  2. Johnny Depp, with Dani Osvaldo as manager.
  3. The way I see it is that Tonda was basically starting on minus points after such a dreadful start, under a dreadful manager, with a mix of new players finding their feet and some who had lost their feet and seemingly couldn't be arsed. When he took over, Saints were 21st (!!) after 13 matches and already 12 points off the play offs (Preston were 6th, Stoke were still 3rd). Stoke are now 5 places below Saints (and everyone was saying why didn't we have their manager etc etc) and we're now only 4 points off the play off places with 13 games to go. If Tonda can bridge that "minus point gap" from the first 13 matches, I'll give him a 9/10. So far it's a 7/10 - I think you can see he's still learning as he goes, which isn't a bad thing, but if Saints somehow go promoted, which I still think is a big ask right now, I'm pretty sure he's going to need help and guidance otherwise he's going to become a 2/10 and I feel we'll be wasting a potentially decent manager. Plenty of should have and could have moments in football, not hiring Still, hiring Rohl, even given Tonda the job from day 1 etc etc. I just see a vast improvement and the proof is there in the league table figures from after the 13th match of the season. Who knows though, just my opinion anyway.
  4. It's under £10m. He should be snapped up, far better than any other options we have. Ramsdale won't be at Saints next season regardless.
  5. Surely that can't actually be real??? Jesus wept.
  6. I echo this - we were going to go, but my son's football training won't finish in time. Annoying. TV it is.
  7. This is frightening - mainly for Leicester, they really are screwed. But how is Matt Target on £100k a week even in the Premier League? Madness.
  8. I am assuming that many of these 60 mins subs ARE planned (especially for Steward, Edozie, Romeu) as the sports science behind it could be something like "come off on 70 mins and recovery time is x days, come off on 60 mins and recovery time is x days -1. But if you play less than 60 mins you don't build up much needed match fitness" ... that kind of thing, so yeah, they probably are being over-managed, but as long as they're kept fit and we keep winning, the planned subs are fine with me.
  9. My thoughts too, time sucks.
  10. Too many soft opinions. He is awful. Archer buck your ideas up and perform like you are paid to do, or ask the club to be moved on.
  11. Is Archer a footballer? Is he well paid to do this? What a dopey tit.
  12. Can't believe Blackburn are still owned by the VH Group and their fans are still hating them, how long has that been now? Must be nearly 2 decades!?!? They've done nothing in that time, from a 90s Premier League (or Premiership then) stable, to, well, bumbling around in division 2 and 3.
  13. That's a great shout. I don't understand this latest "we need 3 goalkeepers" fad, isn't that exactly what the youth is for?? And yeah, if they are THAT bad, we (as a club) are doing something horrifically wrong. Mind you, I can't ever recall Saints producing a goalkeeper from the academy of any note, am I wrong?
  14. Nothing like an out of breath stumbling rant
  15. Up the football league we go
  16. From managerial dunce to managerial genius in 2 halves ... right?? 🤣
  17. LOL!! Fk me!! hahahahahahaha ... not sure what to say! hahahahaha
  18. TBF to Tonda, he's done the right thing. He can't help if the players don't put a shift in, so he's hauled them, GOOD. Starting Archer, BAD.
  19. And yes the NFL is rubbish and watched by oddballs (over here anyway, you're excused if you're actually an American)
  20. Blasphemy, I love watching snooker - nothing beats that quiet time and calmness, it's my 'zen sport'. Darts can fk off though, noisy crap.
  21. I'd forgotten he was there ... 😐
  22. I actually thought Watford snuffed them out the game pretty well, didn't let them have space or time, which is what killed the game in terms of entertainment. So in that respect Watford did their job well. It was boring, but the win and clean sheet is obviously excellent and great to see so many decent performances; Wellington, Bree, Stephens, Jander were all really good. Shout out to Larin and Edozie too. Decent and more promising!
  23. He's just not committing to anything, which is understandable. I thought he answered that question well, seems like a good guy, on current form I hope he stays and I don't believe it is a coincidence that having a proper goalkeeper who directs the box and a proper full back in the team has made a huge difference. Along with a proper back 4.
  24. Problem is, you've watched him with eyes. We're told not to watch with eyes and look at data. Both eyes and data say this guy is shit, so wtf are they playing at??
  25. Just catching up ... who the fk is this Larins div? That can't be true, 1 goal in 10 or some horrendous stats, FFS
