Journey advice for getting to ground (first game for 5 year old)
Patrick Bateman replied to Ekimr's topic in The Saints
Train is good - there is a St Mary's bus right outside the station (Toys r Us side) on a match day, it's only a couple of quid return -
Makes you wonder if he wanted out and regretted the role for some reason, but wanted a pay off to get out ... surely the only explanation for the bizarre nature of the teams selections and "tactics".

Series 1 and 2 of the Peaky Blinders were okay, from then on they got more and more boring. I expect the film to be utter trash, not for me. Duckhunter is right, so much new TV is just trash with OTT characters.
-
Cup final predictably dull - watching athletics while doing my roast beef instead
-
I'd like that 433 formation again - get at them, they'll fold.
-
Tonight especially I was going to give him my MoTM, and that is some accolade let me tell you .... but no seriously, he was very very good tonight, he seemed to be everywhere, doing everything, well.
-
International breaks terrify me. Saints always hit form, break comes up, then we're wank afterwards ... hopefully not this time .......
-
Oh this guy was an utter helmet tonight, awful.
-
Absolutely, 100% this!!

My heart

No idea why I'm sat watching this, it's awful. No atmosphere, one-sided and they aren't THAT great ...
-
Thankfully they aren't "commentating" on Sky again ...
-
Wrexham look crap. Moore might be a key loss for them after all ...
-
TBH that is about the only thing he did that I saw (I only saw the first half). I was just sat there thinking thank god we don't have to put up with what I was watching; lots of running, poor balls into the box that were easily cleared, then he did that. Funny old game football.

Absolutely - frightening way to approach sport! Just weird and as you say, complete ego-centric mentalness. I feel the club is in a much better place currently - loved that line though about winning, it was telling.
-
Love the last line of the Mail article ... ‘Southampton was an environment not focused enough on winning but more focused on other things. Now, it’s very clear – we are here to win.’
-
A new way of pressing eh? Let's give it a name for him, triple iron? 3 players rushing in to squeeze out the ball from the crease? Yes.

If we had started the season with Peretz and Larin…

Plus Wood now preferred to Quarshie, another stunning summer signing. -
Let's face it, all forums have dins, we have plenty.

Outstanding interview - love that the players are really buying into the manager and he obviously have something about him that they like, love hearing the passion. Flynn especially looked like he'd lost all passion for playing at the start of the season (maybe the illness??), but he's be fantastic in 2026. Really enjoying watching us play again. For me, crucial point of note is that we won, away, at the top of the league without Scienza. Mentally those are a couple of huge confidence boosters. Lovely stuff. Peretz, love this guy.

But but the double pivot, so important when playing against the ball, especially with the low block because you need that against inverted full backs playing a false nine, trying to force a transition in play. I mean, wtf.
-
I can picture this really clearly. I had a similar 'chat' with a school Dad (who doesn't support 1 team, he likes many), I couldn't take it, I just turned around and walked away. Never spoke to him again.
-
Genuine question - from what I can understand, this new 'low block' term is simply parking the bus, yes? Why is football such a load of bollocks now ...
