I just suddenly became ill! I'll leave it there if that's okay :-)

Only twice, thank goodness. Once when two cars over took me on the A31 past Ringwood (I had 2 passengers otherwise that wouldn't have happened ) the second car was tailgating the first car, once past me tried to undertake, but the first car pulled in. Hence second car had to take evasive action, hit the edge of the road and flipped multiple times right in front of me landing upside down. Therefore; emergency services were called ASAP. Second time was an ambulance for me

Jan: We're Not Playing Like a Relegation Side
Patrick Bateman replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
"Jan: Were Not Playing Like a Relegation Side" No, we were not playing like a relegation side. But we are now. (sorry, couldn't resist the grammar dig as it makes the statement more truthful) -
Having read the article and basing my facts only on what I've read; it would appear to me that the MD needs to do a "back to the floor" week. It seems that the routes are not well enough planned to allow time to cash up and rest between them which means the drivers probably do have a basis to complain. There is obviously a requirement for some analysis of how they all work and interact and then a process that needs fixing/amending or even to be created. I love business transformation ...

Thank god, finally! F1 days before refuelling was introduced was much better and I remember (probably rose-tinted of course) better racing, more overtaking etc etc etc. I hate watching now and wondering if x is faster than y and z because they have much less fuel and not thinking it's driving talent, or indeed a better car. Great move.

Another nail in the coffin for supporting football in this country. If I want to watch something sterile with no interaction with the crowd or players, I'll go and watch tennis.

Er?? Pot and kettle Mr. MLT!

As he's seen working hard in the gym pretty much every day, I would say he's pretty fit. Would be worth seeing if he's up to much on the football field still!?

Great post - sounds weird, but reading that sort of post helps to keep the "spirit of Southampton" burning inside me. I don't feel that the situation the club is currently in is all bad, as the younger lads learn to play with each other week in week out, we may well start seeing more results go our way. The Plymouth match for example - fine example of the sort of match previous to this year that we would have been "unlucky to lose". Can't make Charlton for personal reasons, but really really wishing I could be there! Come on Saints!

No they don't. Sorry mate! As long as the company pays the correct amount of VAT to HMRC they can charge what they like for the goods. So effectively by not passing on the VAT cut to the consumer, shops (and the club!) can increase their margins. This is what the VAT cut is really aiming to do. Aiming to get company profits up, meaning they have more money to spend on expansions and the hiring of staff. Hiring more staff helps the economy in more ways than one.

Yes, fine idea. But again, it seems to be a pick on the consumer approach and avoid targeting the causes of too much rubbish - supermarkets, other shops and manufacturers. Why, if I want to buy some pears, do I have a choice of; loose pears, pears in a bag, or 4 pears in a tub, with plastic on top, wrapped in more plastic. What is the point in the latter? Can the government not ban this sort of pointless packaging? I mostly shop at my farm shop for fruit, veg, meat, bread etc., but on the occasion I visit a supermarket, I must be a "pain" for the shop staff as I keep everything loose in my basket/trolley

Just because you and Essruu have joined the local Muslim support group, no need to take it out on everyone else is there?
-
Yes. If you are travelling to a place other than your "normal place of work", you can claim, from HMRC (only by filling in a tax return) petrol allowance from home to your "normal place of work" as your company (whether your own, or one you are employed by) won't/shouldn't actually pay that bit. There is probably someone who can articulate that better than I, look on the HMRC website. I've used it in the past and claimed back a fair bit.

This is the best "policy" on offer, by a long way. It makes the most sense and would indeed help pretty much everyone by giving them more spending power. But, as JFP rightly pointed out, the VAT decrease will benefit businesses more who already have large sales on, who don't have to drop prices and can relax a bit, gain more revenue AND profit margain and expand/hire more staff and the economy starts to move again that way. So I can understand a VAT cut from that perspective as average Joe on the street will not notice it. Of course a council tax free would really help wouldn't it?

To be honest I give up with all the political parties. Not one of them seem to have a clue in all honesty which proves that politics is a joke, especially in this country. I don't align to any "side" and certainly won't be bothering in the future - yes, I shall not use my vote that people have lost lives ensuring I get. It's sad and I'm sorry for THEM that the parties on offer are tripe, all of them run by people that you love to hate. I'd love to be an MP and make a difference. But what party would I align to? I have no idea. Which is why the whole thing is just staggeringly ridiculous - there should be a party that stands out, for you as a person. Maybe for others there is, but generally I find with people it's a "always supported Labour so will continue to support Labour", or "My family have always been Tory, I'll always be Tory" and so on. I'm past that stage. I would love to see a party come to the forefront that could really make a difference to everything that matters; health, education, policing, benefits, immigration, taxation, international policy, hell even the "feel good factor" would be nice to have back and to be able to walk down the street and see happy smiling faces, not faces of people who look like their world is ending and/or they want to stab you. On the other side of the coin, as I'm affected by ALL the new tax rules (thanks!), I might just move to Switzerland …

The US will save nearly 400 billion on oil imports this year;
Patrick Bateman replied to Window Cleaner's topic in The Lounge
F*cking "gas" indeed. FYI; gas is completely different to oil and indeed petrol. Thicko. -
I'm not angry darling, just fed up with our media and sycophantic people such as you appear to be, loving the hype.
-
Anyone in our media. Constantly sucking obama c*ck, it's tiresome.

I like the idea, I might well do that. However, I'd like the see a "weekend fixture only" season ticket or flexible season ticket seeing as I hardly ever get to make mid-weekers due to work. I'm sure I'm not the only one? More money up front, but 'my' seat is available during mid-week for others to buy, or me to buy if I can make it. Would that be so hard to do??
-
You what? You really are a fruit cake. Why would you "well up" to see that stupid f*cker crying? Sad, get a life. America should now get ready for a load of woolly, sh*t policies. I saw Gordon Brown this morning on TV and almost wellied up. Wellied the f*cking TV through the window, Scottish c*nt.

To be brutally honest, it's a crap idea. If you're not at the game and you're that desperate for news/updates/scores/whatever, most people's mobiles have decent web browsing capability, plus, they can text a mate for cheaper (i.e. probably free included in their bundle) to get a score. Or, there is teletext, the radio etc etc etc.
-
Worth it if you insist on going to hotels etc on business where they don't have wifi, or you own a laptop with no wifi (??) ... http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/mobile/broadband.html

You boring old tool.

Who cares.

Also - the 50inch version should still be around the £1300 to £1400 mark, so within your bracket to enable you to spend a couple of hundred on decent leads :-)
