If the guy wants to support Saints, so what? We've moved on to a better place now. He'll never be everyone's best friend, but then, I'm sure we all have people we aren't keen on who also Saints, doesn't mean they shouldn't go.

Totally agree. Could give a stuff what the new kit will look like or who is on the shirt or what songs to sing.

You have to ask why our tax system is so bloody over-complicated. It's ridiculous.

What are the chances of this happening in Southampton?
Patrick Bateman replied to Sour Mash's topic in The Lounge
Bloody never I hope. -
Top day out, great atmosphere around the town too!

Okay, this may be a silly question, but I don't know the Geography/Physics involved. The earthquake has caused a tsunami, that I understand and why etc. I was looking at a detailed map of the tsunami's reach and it has the US west cost marked out for 9-10 hours. My question (I can't find an answer online, I am supposed to be working too!) is, does the tsunami's power diminish? My HQ is in Seattle, basically does that mean they'll be battered as well?

Exactly! I do like dogs, but they are a bit, er, dumb! Even the "intelligent" ones are only doing it as they'll get a reward. Dogs thought process; "can I eat it", "can I **** it", "can I fight it" >> much like modern man I suppose. But cats are cool, calculated and generally awesome creatures. I've had Maine Coons, which are brilliant cats. They are huge, actually more affectionate than other breeds and moggies and they are just generally brilliant creatures - I love watching them, especially pouncing on massive house spiders. Non-cat lovers are weird and normally have a chip on their shoulder about something. Fact.

Not that I give a sh*t, but I had a bored 5 mins at work and played spot the difference with the "Cortese" in the hat and scarf and Cortese in another non-smiling picture: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/50348000/jpg/_50348857_cortese_pardew.jpg&imgrefurl=http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/n/newcastle_united/9270288.stm&usg=__ekg6_-4o8Ku5UsSl_1o0Z4a08Qw=&h=360&w=640&sz=34&hl=en&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=j9WV002OjYHbCM:&tbnh=101&tbnw=180&ei=cXh3TbaTLZG4hAfyzdGeBg&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dnicola%2Bcortese%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1145%26bih%3D740%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=394&oei=cXh3TbaTLZG4hAfyzdGeBg&page=1&ndsp=23&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0&tx=101&ty=21 Link is too big, pah, anyway ... I think it's him, same mouth shape, side-burns, and other features. Now I look like a weird b*stard staring at pictures of blokes at work ...

Jesus Christ, you must be even more hideously cranky and opinionated to live with now!

Odd boy. Aside from the deterent part of why we need "defense", what about all the people are employed? Let's take it to another level, say we were invaded by another species from elsewhere who wanted to wipe us out, we might all be peaceful, but they might not >> I know it's ludicrous, but no more so than your odd suggestion.
-
I think it's daft then. Surely the whole point of a group of people being able to have lower premiums is that as a collective group, their risk profile is lower than other groups? So are we ALL to pay the same premium? Should I, a 35 year old man, living in the peace and quiet of the country, pay the same as a 17 year old from Aldershot, or a 75 year old who can't turn a steering wheel. It's a ridiculous ruling. That's a whole load of people who look at risk/analytics out of a job then, not needed anymore. We all have the same premiums. Okay I'm being really extreme, but it is stupid.
-
I didn't think Sheila's wheels could legally turn down a male driver? I thought they just gave women extra discount, so the male premiums with them wouldn't be competitive?

Haven't ever seen Das Boot, I will hunt it down now. I really like: Bridge over the river Kwai A bridge too far

Have to say, the program cracks me up. Orange women with boot-polish black hair (or peroxide-blonde) trying to get a date with some complete tw*t who loves himself. Perfect catch-up viewing on Sunday when you're hungover, brilliant TV!

Anyone who interferes with Gadaffo, including this country or the US, is a mug. He's a nutter. It's sad what's happening over there, but who is going to get involved, honestly? The bloke is a complete loon, it's like a random prisoner trying to stop Charles Bronson beating the sh!t out of someone, it's madness, as wrong as it is.
-
Fords are complete sh!te. I owned 2 Mondeos and the other half had a disgusting C-Max. Awful cars. Never had any inclination to own a Vauxhall. Surely though, a "British" car is now a Honda Civic (Swindon) or most Nissans (Sunderland)? They on the other hand are good. Uninteresting, but good cars. Build quality wise, the best I've been in is probably a Volvo now - solid, quality. Mercs and Porsche are obviously good too.

Eddie Mitchell Stirs The Pot Before Cherries Game
Patrick Bateman replied to farawaysaint's topic in The Saints
He is a massive penis. -
As far as I'm aware, they are UK based, with 1 office, in the UK. The man sounds like a penis.
-
I have a Qashqai - fully loaded with all the toys they are fantastic value! Very comfy, solid and cheap to run. If you can pick one up for your price, then do! Whoever suggested the C-Max needs shooting. Vile looking, plastic and absolutely hideous to drive. My other half one before getting her Golf.

I think it's a real shame. It'll probably be crap and soulless. Upton Park is a great ground with a lot of great history.

Rickie Lambert - League One Top Scorer Again?
Patrick Bateman replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
Considering the amoun of goals we've scored, surprised not to see a few more names in this list http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_2/top_scorers/default.stm But then, perhaps it's a good thing as it shows we have plenty of goals coming from all different sources!? -
Top Gear presenters in legal firing line over anti-Mexican comments
Patrick Bateman replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
As much as I do enjoy watching Top Gear, some of it really has got silly. I think the 3 of them should stick to doing silly specials (like the US trip, or the Vietnam trip etc) as they are genuinely funny, so long as you don't mind it being totally staged. As for the main program, I agree, I'd probably get shot of Hammond, he really is annoying. I like May as a presenter, he's erudite and can be interesting. He also plays the "Captain Slow" act well. Clarkson is, as soneone said above, Clarkson. A Marmite-man, but I like him and find him funny. They probably should bring Tiff out more. Mind you, the "old" Top Gear failed once Clarkson left and they tried various other presenters who were just completely dull. Quentin Wilson, the guy with the beard, the fat guy ... all ZZZZZ. 5th gear would be better if they got rid of the fat one. Has anyone ever seen the User Car Roadshow? Christ ... -
Well, it's actually my other half's birthday. Which you might think is a win-win as I only have to do the meal thing once a year. But no, it just means that I can't book anything or do anything for her birthday because all the mongs "celebrating" Valentine's Day have booked everything and pushed the prices up. F**k-nuggets.
