  1. Agree, I'm bored AF. Son and wife went to bed, it's dirge, sadly. We loved the Foo Fighters (of course, who wouldn't!), Sparks and Royal Blood earlier though.
  2. Who, or what is that? I mean, I'm all for individual style, but a dressing gown with sepia vision glasses?
  3. Love this - great memories of the original version of that kit
  4. 100% I did like the "I'd had some glasses of wine" comment though 🤣
  5. My issue with these podcasts (is that what they are?) is that all the people are always on the same page, there is no one to challenge the views being said, so they all sit there fuelling the same narrative and then all say "yeah, we are right aren't we great". Doesn't matter what you're talking about, all these online videos always have the same views and the same people agreeing with each other. Vaccinations, socialism, CBD, transgender - doesn't matter, it appears views from people that challenge and ask questions are not welcome. In years gone by, you'd be debating this in a room with differing views, doesn't matter if it's a debating society at university or sat in a pub with 6 mates with a broad spectrum of views, but someone would be there to say "are you sure you saw a UFO and not a satellite, look, here is why I think that". This is the problem with social media and all this crap, it is not balanced and they all sit there agreeing with each other. I'm pretty sure the views would be more balanced if someone was able to probe and challenge. At least this forum (and forums in general) is still a little more old school and we can all call each other out to gain a broad agreement, clarity or consensus.
  6. That was interesting! Best thing I've watched on the internet for a while.
  7. End of season is usually rubbish anyway, this even more so, should just play rush goalies.
  8. No idea who this guy is genuinely, but I'm out of touch with football, but having checked ... a 37% win rate and 36% win rate for MK Dons and Swansea respectively? Christ.
  9. Saints will win 7-0, the players will turn up and play like Messi to get in the shop window for the summer. "Look at me, I'm awesome, it's everyone else that was rubbish". 😡
  10. No. I think it's worth spending £11.99 on an average bottle of red and watching a film. Tetris is good.
  11. He looks 24 ...
  12. This! Just give him a contract, a proper one, FFS
  13. We do have full backs better suited to that than say Leeds - in my opinion. KWP, Livramento (is he alive??) and even Perraud.
  14. I've warmed up to the idea having read more on him, his style and general manner. I think he certainly has a lot more pedigree than the previous manager and definitely a style that the younger players may need right now. Carrot rather than stick could be better in these circumstances.
  15. I honestly think this squad needs a "name" not a clever appointment who the players will respect, get some wins and avoid relegation - still possible. Bielsa, Pochettino, Gerrard. I make zero apologies for wanting one of them as manager in my opinion.
  16. I don't think he's a bad man, he just wasn't the right man for the club or the situation. This squad needed (and still needs in my opinion) a "name" to shape them up, the players have to shoulder lots of the blame as well under both Ralph and Jones. However, the football and results did get worse and there is no excuse after having a 4/5 week training session during the world cup. I hope Nathan finds the right club for him and does well elsewhere.
  17. Ah the good old days. Network54 and all that! Prick on a stick. B-anter.
  18. Absolutely this - if the club give this charlatan any more "winnable" games, it's game over.
  19. GO NOW! FAO SAINTS BOARD - You are useless. FAO NATHAN JONES - Go now. Okay, thanks, bye.
  20. I had to mute it, that guy's voice!!!!
  21. I work closely with data, I understand data, but xG is a complete load of crap. According to that stat, Man City (with rounding) SHOULD have won 2-1. They didn't, that wasn't the score. So a retrospective at what was expected is a load of rubbish. You are supposed to take learnings from data, what can you learn from that? "You SHOULD have scored" and "you SHOULD have hit the target" - brilliant. I think the qualitative data from staff and fans grumbling in the stands is enough to form that view. Data for data's sake. There are examples of it everywhere. Look at a shampoo advert; "loved by 89% of people" ... "note: 89% of 63 people" ... WTF is that? That's not a rep sample. Who are these people, what's their demographics, are they a broad enough spectrum and what would give more significance? 1000, 2000, probably 20000. Anyway, I'm ranting now, your fault. Bloody xG my arse.
  22. This is what worried me too. Look, I am not a football manager, or a coach, but, as a fan of the game you can see the patterns and what style the team has, we can all see that. I didn't see any pattern today or objectives. I saw chaos and complete ineptitude. After 5 weeks of having the team to drill, this is not acceptable.
  23. Agreed! Bad choice. It was a cheap choice, portrayed as being "daring". F**k off. It's a sh*t, cheap choice. Sorry Nathan and family - seems like a nice guy, but this isn't going to work out, probation should be ended early. After 5 weeks of having (nearly) the entire team to yourself to shape and drill, the last two matches show it won't work.
  24. Horrific. No soul, no talent, limited and simple tactics, just all round limited ability. They deserve to go down.
  25. Confident video, I like the approach, style and caveats. Expect a blood and thunder performance against Liverpool (which Klopp will moan about) and then the break sounds ideal to work with everyone, including staff. Yeah, let's see. Good luck Nathan, look forward to seeing Saints in 2023!
