  1. All 3 look great and much better than what we'll probably get dished up. And to echo Alehouse, dark navy blue shorts please with the home kit.
  2. I do actually have an issue with this, one of those players was Jamie Vardy and whilst we all can't stand him, he's now a Leicester legend and he's been LOYAL to them when he could've moved. Not his fault he's still picked and probably not the player he once was in the top flight - although he's still managed 7 goals in that dreadful team and that's more than our strikers combined I think? So how do you differentiate that chant between players, you can't.
  3. This is it for me - the club has been completely mismanaged by those responsible for hiring, training, fitness, everything. Whilst I wouldn't have clapped the players personally, I don't think they can really be blamed. Lack of fitness and not being good enough for the Premier League is not really their fault. Juric as I said on another thread I can't really blame either, he had a horrible job to do and yes, he made some weird decisions, but I agree, my anger is direction 100% towards non-playing staff. Hopefully more changes will happen, ESPECIALLY in the player and manager recruitment and fitness areas.
  4. Hardly surprising, but I wish Juric all the best. He took on a very difficult job, with unfit players, the wrong players, players isolated from the team and a hiding to nothing. He was treated to yet another clusterfk of a transfer window in January. Yes some of his decisions have been bizarre, but I think he at least showed some balls. Good luck to him and hopefully now onwards and upwards again for Saints with the right manager being given access to the right players, get them fit and firing.
  5. Interesting. I mean yes, he is rude and obnoxious and a complete prick, especially the way he tries to talk down to her, BUT, BBC news people do interrupt, they are irritating. I can't remember the last time I watched a BBC news interview and didn't say "For gods sake, stop interrupting and let them speak"!
  6. I'm still baffled by the thread title. How can anyone appreciate that prat?
  7. Best club in Southampton was The Wall - behind the Walls. Small, underrated.
  8. That's depressing
  9. I would rather we did a "pissed up fans 11" ... if you get turned away at the turnstile for being drunk, you're on the pitch.
  10. Palace are a great example along with Bournemouth and Forest of; 1. Considerably better recruitment, top class (leagues above Saints in terms of recruitment) 2. Better management, well drilled, know what they are doing, loads of energy (leagues above Saints) 3. Fitness! Our players still look slow and unfit, especially compared to these 3 teams. Sad really.
  11. Who?? What the hell is going on with our club when the fanbase (well, maybe just me) doesn't know who the players are????
  12. Brilliant.
  13. Utterly embarrassing. Absolute lunatic, they all are, hideous creatures.
  14. That can't be real, please, surely not? Thick fkn morons. So sad.
  15. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3378054g1no This made me chuckle, imagine the future King on your football forum ...
  16. Musk is not my cup of tea, but to be fair it's easy to show a graph of a decline if you zoom in. The Metro has conveniently only shown 2025, but if you look at the share price over 1, 2, 3, 5 years, you'll notice the share price, whilst now being the lowest in 2025, is still higher than most of 2024 and a lot of 2023. It's all market manipulation anyway.
  17. Rhino, Flynny and Fraze?
  18. Agreed. I watched Monday Night Football just to see what he had to say. It's interesting and he can definitely pitch a story really well and break down analysis nicely - maybe his role would be great as an assistant to someone rather than being the guy at the top of the day to day tactics / decision making? Anyway, just to say the end summed up why he and we needed to move on; what would he change or tweak, he was asked by an unsure Carragher, who you could tell was under pressure after trashing Martin so much. Martin's answer; "be more aggressive". Sigh. Oh well, we plod on.
  19. Agreed. Never a serious party, especially given the Musk backing then not backing and then his PDA that Rupert Lowe was the best Reform MP ... always going to go one way.
  20. Thanks Duncan, I enjoyed reading that weirdly, I take some comfort from the fact that they do actually seem to care, there is some investment and there do appear to be the right changes happening. Too many mistakes; senior management hiring, first team management hiring, ridiculous player transfers - but hopefully that can be started to put right from NOW (not next season, NOW) with the right senior management getting the right manager and sorting out the transfers. But the key is now, we need to hit the ground running when the players come back from their summer break. Next season I want to return to St Marys seeing a committed team, playing good football, up in the top 6 - perfect. The nail on the head you hit was communication, it has been poor and that is something that can be improved today. I don't mean posting marketing guff on LinkedIn (which seems to happen a lot), I mean proper communication with the actual fan base. Statements of intent, a high level strategy and how they'll action it. We march on?? (I hope)
  21. Absolutely this. Starmer went up a lot in my estimation yesterday, fair play to him. As for the MP who resigned today, she's a wally - idealistic wally totally detached from how the political game is being played right now.
  22. Spot on. Trump and Vance are bullies, sat there like a pair of weedy bullies picking on one guy. They've lost most of the world's support over this, fk them.
  23. Paul Merson said last night "the groundsman needs to put extra lights in the scoreboard" ...
  24. Did anyone watch Sky Sports afterwards? Paul Merson was the most scathing I've ever heard a pundit about how utterly terrible the Saints team are as footballers. He was saying something like "I've seen Saints results and heard about the performances, but I hadn't seen it first hand this season but god they are terrible, really terrible, probably the worst Premier League team I have ever watched" and this went on for quite some rant. Some might not like Merson, but regardless, that is an ex-pro sat there destroying fellow pros, a damning indication of just how bad this team is, how bad the recruitment has been, how bad the management are, how half-arsed the players are and generally just how shoddily run this club has been. The owners were lucky to see promotion and get the extra income, but manager after manager has been utter trash and player hire after player hire has been beyond trash and frankly it's like they're letting a 9 year old pick players from Football Manager. Is it any wonder Jesse Marsch turned the job down after meeting them? (I'm sure he wouldn't have kept Saints up, but would've been better the following season). No wonder Moyes, Potter and co were nowhere near the job either. Absolute shit fest all round. I was calm last night as it was inevitable, but the more I read, the more I watch from people saying how bad it was, the more angry I get. I was going to get my son and I season tickets in the Championship next season, but I think that unless drastic changes are made NOW, we won't bother. The club are down. Strip out the management right now, top to bottom, recruit well now, well ahead of the summer break to allow a fast start to a championship season with players that give a fk with a competent management team.
