  1. I can accept losing, I can even accept getting relegated as part of footie, but the thing that is most difficult is having no clear future and having no hope of things being different and better at the club regardless of what happens. This heightens the feeling of helplessness when I sit and watch as a season ticket holder week in and week out, the faith is thinly stretched today!!!
  2. Can you imagine the pressure that will come on these young players as we get near the end of the season? They are struggling now, losing here, losing there, but this will not be a patch on what is going to come in May. I am the end is inevitable
  3. I have been watching saints since 67 and believe me this is sh**. I have not heard so much tosh spoken for so long, when the boys are saying its difficult playing at home well yeah it is when you play like that. Tipi tapi school boy football 47mins I had to wait for a shot on goal, but thats ok so long as your careers stay on track eh!! Lowe you haven't a clue, businessman !! get yourself a brewery and give it a go cos you sure cant run a footie club oh well rant over!! sorry I just care and feel frustrated that I cant make a difference
  4. sad to say I agree, 67 was my first game and I just cannot believe what I am watching. Being a saints supporter you know that you are going to get more downs than ups, but I cannot see any positives in this at the moment. The choices seem to be to go along, sit watch and suffer or do what most people are doing now and stay away. I do this more now for a few beers with my old mates than the game oh my oh my. If anyone out there can save us step right up dont sit and watch us go under...please
  5. thanks for update, makes interesting reading. It is extemely difficult to buy a company if somebody doesn't want to sell, or you dont want to overpay for a listed company, and I guess that is what they are finding out. I have seen this first hand (not saints) always astonishing how egos get in the way even if an obvious / logical deal can be offered. Ledt's hope they can all get together
  6. when was mark on as I missed him? was he down here or did MD call him up? Last I heard there was talk of him going back to Chester yet again
  7. my opinion for what it's worth. Whilst I understand that Lowe is continuing to attack and reduce costs because that's all it looks like he can do, it sadly is not the answer because there is little fat left to cut away, and like people have been suggesting that if you do this with a service led company then sooner or later you dont recover because you lose your customer base and any income you need to survive. Whilst short term this may be the only choice to keep going, I dont think the answer is this, and if he does not have any other longer term plan or vision to turnaround the club financially then we truly are doomed and will see the cuts getting deeper and deeper. We must either accept that we will continue to fall until we can sustain ourselves in performance terms aligned with our running costs or find the money to live the life at the level that we want to be. Very few high performing clubs in the premiership have a sustainable financial model. So I dont know where this will end, but would welcome hearing the vision of the future outside of "we must cut costs". then I think I will be able to come to terms with our fate a little easier
  8. It's gone way beyond expectations and happiness with effort and performance. This is a team full of young energetic players really trying.. but.. sadly this will not be enough. If we can get through this season and stay up that will be the biggest success we have had in a long long time. Keep your heads up Lads and keep going. ANYBODY WATCHING WITH A FEW MILL PLEASE PUT IT BEHIND THIS GREAT CLUB NOW
