  1. Indeed, his form in this series has been superb so far. Needs to find a way to be more consistant though.
  2. The tournament is desperate for goals so hopefully it will be somewhat of a tonking.
  3. Winner: Brazil Runner Up: England Top Scorer: Luis Fabiano Best Player: Wayne Rooney Suprise package: Serbia Underachiever: Spain
  4. Very good. They'll be gutted Ronaldinho isn't going to the WC.
  5. Heskey, Barry and Lennon (If they're all fit)

    The Euro

We shouldn't have the Euro as we benefit massively having a more flexable currency when things go to ****. We're coming out of this recession at a faster rate then the rest of Europe as we've been able to lower the value of the currency and increase exports. We wouldn't be able to do that going through Brussels for every decision. In theory, the Euro would benefit us if there was no more boom and bust, but there is so we should stay put.
  7. If Charlton lose they'd be on the same number of points as Colchester and their in notably poor form. Otherwise, I agree that the other results aren't relatively unimportant.
  8. Anyone know of a radio link?
  9. True, the world cup qualifiers showed that with a top manager we should breeze qualifying. Just hope we still have cappello.
  10. Any ideas how many overs we'll have to defend for?
  11. James Green Kirkland A. Cole Lescott Johnson G. Neville(if fit)/Richards Ferdinand Terry Woodgate J. Cole(if fit)/Young Walcott Beckham Lennon Gerrard Barry Lampard Carrick Rooney Owen Heskey Defoe Agbonlehor
  12. Cork, Dimi and Tremlett bowled better
  13. They should reduce the number of overs in which a team can gain batting points to 80 or 90 overs IMO.

    Lallana

Great looking side though you'd want Mills and Papa pushed right up to be able to act as second strikers, coming inside when the balls on the other wing. That way Lambert wouldn't be so isolated. Also, Lallana would need to be told 'stay up there of be dropped'.
  15. Would we have anyone to come in as a second spinner?
  16. True, but we're in the **** at the moment and his last game form could be described as competent unlike most and even a slight chance of a big score could give us a fighting chance. My team would be: Strauss Cook Key Collingwood Prior Freddy Bopara Broad Swan Anderson Onions
  17. Not as much of a disaster as many of the others and we need to keep some of the batsmen consistant. Also, he has the potential to get a century as he essentially showed at Lords.
  18. Article in the London paper today quoting the Somerset director saying Tres coming back, only for home games, was a possibility.
  19. If Roberts and McCartney play regularly as a pair then 23 seems big, definetly capable of 30 between them. The crouch/Defoe offering at 14 looks terrible as robbie keane would be tough to drop.
  20. So many ex-hampshire lads in that team, wonder if they heard about Saturday.

    Pardew....

    On the BBC ticker now.
  22. It will be fun, but I was looking forward to trying to turn Southampton around having been as low as we would have been. Not complaining though.
  23. Under-rated in mine.
  24. Between him and laver IMO, probably be never able to truly compare because of the bizarre nature of Laver's success.
  25. Whereas if Nadal was playing he would either do badly or loose to Nadal. At least in this case he has a chance of reaching the final and if he beats Federer noone is going to say he's had it easy.
