After being our most important player last year with 37 or whatever goal contributions I’m willing to give him a clean slate in the prem . At least with him his success has come under the manager.. differant styles of football can make a big differance, which could be why your boy BBD isn’t doing what he did at Sheffield utd ..

We really need to get him signed to a nice long contract I’d be tempted to tell him sign the contract if you wanna start.. otherwise we will simply be putting him in the shop window with 1-2 years left on his deal after this season and that weakens our hand

Shocking your willing to give up on him already 3 games into the season if you want to moan about someone why not BBD? who has been way worse at least AA has got into positions to threaten. Our fanbase is so fickle if he scored his Miskick which he usually would have then everyone’s happy

One of the biggest ones for me was jordi clasie (the Dutch xavi) after having watched him for Netherlands knowing he was such a lynchpin if koemans feyenoored side and all our other imports looking good this looked amazing signing on me paper

Jury is still very much out on Martin for me,, we was pretty crap and inconsistent last year after the unbeaten run, don’t think many people where that happy with him but he redeeened himself and bought himself a fair chance with everyone by winning the playoffs. Start of this season he’s been poor .. poor formation and selections pretty much every game.. I think he’s playing this 3 at the back as it’s probably the easiest way for us to have a load of meaningless possession stats .. but by doing that the attack isn’t working at all if he doesn’t pick up points soon can really see the pressure cranking up . How many games with no points or wins will people give him ?

But this isn’t the system he thrived in last year ? He done well playing in a 433 as a wing forward now he’s being asked to play in a 2 up top with Diaz going out to the wing and leaving him isolated

Already seeing a lot of harsh comments regarding AA.. think we need to give him time. With the current tactics russ has been using it’s not surprising he’s not doing well, the width of the front 3 has been sacrificed you have BBD playing more like a wideman with no skill or pace and the midfield 3 have been the most static 3 you could select, so very little support for him. im confident he will do well if we revert to the 433 from last year

Whilst it’s a chance of recouping the money on sulemana I do like him and think he could have still came good . With how things are going under Martin atm losing players like Alcaraz and sulemana leaves a funny taste with me .. under a different manager and play style which could happen soon both could have potentially thrived . At least Fernandes is looking great to compensate for Alcaraz leaving though .

All the hype going to dibling right now but arguably Fernandes even better .. seems to have it all great carrying the ball, uses it cleverly pops up everywhere .. looks a fantastic signing

Yep I saw a few on twitter calling him the future of our club. Just can’t get behind this myself Jwp was only here for so long as he wasn’t fancied by the big clubs. Will smallbone will probably be more future of our club then dibling 😂

Not sure if it’s just me ? But I find it hard these days to get excited about players like dibling .. watching him all I’m seeing is a future Liverpool or Arsenal player and it’s hard to see him being with us two years max ., it’s a painful reality for saints fans these days if he’s too good he won’t be here long

Don’t mind possession football but the passing around the back line Philisophy seems like taking stupid risks for the sake of it .. does us a lot more harm then good. the team line up and formation was a bit disappointing this 352 leaves us with hardly any creativity especially when you have the more mobile creative players like Fernandez and dibling on the bench Think the 433 suits us much better and personally I’d rather play Fraser then dibling on the left more creative and still has end product

Archer looks a great finisher .. question Is will russ use him as a starter as the lack of physical presence with archer could be a issue for the manager (not me) I’m hoping we go back to a three with him in the middle today

I’d give it about a 6 whilst ramsdale is actually the first absolutely proven top class buy we have had for a long time, I think we are still very very light with the striker situation .. I like archer but not sure I trust that russ will use him as a consistent starter . so far bar the ones we had last season only BBD and suga are making the team fernandes could well break through though and looks the pick of the rest but to me just feels like we have padded the Squad more then bought players that can walk into the side and improve it and striker position looks scary

I did say probably not definitely .. even players we have loaned to the championship the only real success in recent times was tella .. do you think are we are gonna sign some cheap Brazilians who don’t look that great in the first place send them off to goztepe for a year and they send us back the next Ronaldinho ? Didn’t lis just have a good season on loan ? We are in desparate need for a keeper yet he’s not in the picture is he ? at the moment it seems Sr main goal is to use us to help the likes of goztepe to sign players that they wouldn’t usually which will make their other clubs more valuable in the future .. still seems a far stretch that we ourselves will see much benefit.

I don’t see this multi club bs helping us anytime soon .. wouldn’t mind so much but we are already shopping cheap compared to the rest of the league including promoted clubs like Ipswich .. using our money to sign players to loan out (that probably ain’t gonna come back to us good enough anyway) seems very one way street .. We ain’t seeing goztepe sign players to loan to us .. it’s leeching off of a already poor (in comparison to the rest of the league) club

He played 83 minutes all from the bench .. suppose that makes him shit according to the geniuses on here .. if your not playing you are rubbish is the usual wisdom .. what broja needs is a club willing to give him consistent starts like we did and then I think we will see how good he is

Did you not watch him when he was with us ? And you didn’t think he was composed or fast ? I’m not too bothered about what happened since because he’s been at Chelsea which isn’t a easy team to break into he’s still only a kid and the potential is super high

Say what you want about broja but he has killer attributes .. lightning fast for a big man, strong and also a really composed finisher .. people bang on about him not doing much since us but if he had he would be a 70m player and way out of our league anyway ..

Think we need to bring the 4-3-3 back,BBD is a weird one spends most of his time wide but doesn’t really create much from out there AA was quite isolated imo. Aribo again great at holding the ball up but did get caught out for the goal but think he’s an important player for us Dibling was very good when he came on running at players but we left it very to make the changes

Happy to see Aribo starting I think he can be our best midfielder this season if we stick with him

Well whatever way you wanna dress it up .. it’s true we are spending less on players then our rivals and I don’t mean in a net spend quantity over quality way ..Ipswich and everyone else are willing to pay higher fees, we hear all this talk and excuses made that we can’t compete due to ffp and need to sell to buy but here we are doing deals to help goztepe .. ok I might have gone a bit far by saying Sr ade dodgier then gao but he wasn’t signing players to loan to other teams.. It’s just a bit frustrating when we can’t compete with teams like Ipswich for players yet we are willing to use funds to help another club
