The big differance for me is osvaldo ramirez etc were exciting signings for simular money,the potential was there for them to come in and be something special,ok neither has worked out yet but with the fees came a lot of excitement. Long on the other hand we know his level and its low end premiership level, hes not going to set the league alight and at the age of 27 hes not likely to improve much either. Bit of a meh signing really.

Ok the thing is buying players like ramirez osvaldo tadic abroad for these types of fees there is a chance they can come here and be world class, with long we just know we are getting a bog standard bottom half of the premiership player.and hes 27 not much potential in this deal really is there ?

Theres 2 options that would make me happy here. 1 Do not back down to snidy**** let him rot in reserves or do whatever it takes to keep him at the club.this is getting beyond money, we need to put our foot down and not be bullied by players,this needs to happen so it doesnt continue in the future. 2) get jordie clasie in who has potential to be better then the snidyone and get as much as we can for mongan. I still prefer option one

Break the transfer record two or 3 times! This would show the board have no bad intentions or selling up or whatever. 3 big signings like rojo hernandez and jordie clasie and i think the belief would start to come back. Signing people like bertand on loan isnt going to cut it after the players we have let go!

Not saying we should sign samaras but the times ive watched him i definately wouldnt say hes slow and imobile like some are suggesting.he actually can beat a man and make good dribbling runs into the box.hes a lot less static then someone like lambert

Even though i suggested hernandez a couple of months ago before the departures,i dont think its very likely at all now..lets be honest at the moment we are the laughing stock of the league,you only have to type southampton into twitter to read 50 jokes about us having our squad ripped apart.couple that with the interest from athletico madrid and napoli the chances of convincing him to come here look pretty bleak.

Really really think we should move for jordy clasie. Hes said himself how highly he thinks of koeman so why not use this to our advantage?, ok man utd will be a more attractive option but if they dont make a move i see no reason why he would turn down the chance to move to the prem to be reunited with koeman,just like pelle and tadic who were also big eridvisie stars. Some are saying we dont need him as we have cork or he will block ward prouse devolopment, but lets be honest he looks on a much higher level then cork already at a much younger age, and ward prouse needs to earn his game time not just have it put on a plate if hes good enough he will get a chance. Also after seeing how quality clasie looks, it seems a really great compliment to tadic to be talked as the best player in the dutch league, im starting to feel positive again :-)

Wasnt that impressed with depay with the little i saw of him in the world cup, decision making looked poor,although obviously doesnt make him a bad player. Jordie clasie on the other hand i thought looked a talent in his one sub appearence looked comfortable on the ball, and was looking for a killer pass unlike most of the negativity in the dutch squad that night..would love to sign him..the dutch xavi.:-)

Dont believe this at all, so what your saying is cortese is going to give up his great job of chairman and massive wages of a club he brought up through because all the time he had been fibbing and thought he was going to get found out? . I think 25 mil for lallana is a rubbish price to be honest, the guy just finished in the top 6 in the pfa awards nominations making him one of the top 6 performers in the prem last year, would the other players go for this price? No chance. Theres also the sell on clause with bournemouth , the fact he was our captain and best player,so why do we feel the need to only accept what liverpool are ready to pay? Thomas tuchel sounds like the type of appointment we would make,i like what i read about him,BUT at this moment in time a big name would be a massive statement of intent from the board,we need to know the ambition didnt go out the window when cortese left. A big name like a mancini or possibley ranieri and to a lesser extent koeman would make players like adam think twice about jumping ship and really give the fanbase a lift.

Laudrup would have been my number 1 for the job, plays our type of football so wouldnt miss mp, and unearthed some diamonds in the transfer market like michu, bony,pozuelo.

I actually suggested we get hernandez in return in the luke shaw thread a couple of weeks ago, think it would make it much easier to swallow actually getting some one decent in return instead of penny pinching and buying championship players. Hernandez would be just the ticket,pacy finisher who would probably of hit 20 a season if atarting first choice every week for utd.
