  1. I doubt very much if the Club have lost any money on the project. I think the project works have only just commenced on site, so progress to date will be minimal. The general contract terms for payment will be - work 4 weeks - value works - agree payment - pay 4 weeks later. The ones who will lose out are the poor old subbies and suppliers who are left high and dry. Brymor going into administration was a bit of a shock to the local construction industry as they are a decent sized regional Contractor who only recently completed the multi million pound cruise terminal at the Docks.
  2. I did read the "****ing question" Benni. I wasn't commenting on the "****ing question", but the posts that say we need to go down (e.g. #5). In this context the post states we need to go down in order for us to get better, not to survive, which is what a need is. Therefore it is a want, explicitly expressed or not.
  3. Why the **** would anyone in their right mind want the Club to get relegated? ****ing losers.
  4. Home. Gunn Bednarek Yoshida Danso/Vestergaard Cedric Romeu Bertrand Djenpo Boufal / Armstrong Redmond Adams / Ings Away. Gunn Bednarek Yoshida Danso/Vestergaard Cedric Romeu PEH Bertrand Djenpo Adams /Ings Redmond
  5. It seems to be a common thing! I've spoken to a few Pompey ST holders and they aren't expecting anything other than a comprehensive win for us. They're almost resigned to a big defeat.
  6. What particular law would be broken? I'd be interested to hear. A stadium is not a private place, where privacy would be expected and where images used without consent would be a breach of privacy laws. Provided that the images are not used in a defamatory way or for terrorist purposes, then there is no criminal offence. However, this is a rapidly changing area of the law. You have no copyright over your own image. With regard to GDPR, it appears as though no personal information of anyone near to the video is being processed and kept by the Vlogger, so action by the ICO would be highly unlikely, although I profess to have only a very basic understanding of GDPR. Looks like any redress would need to be via a Court order. Good luck. Irrespective of the above, I personally find the whole Vlogging thing slightly distasteful and would rather not be captured in any football vlogging myself because a) I'm an ugly bastard, b) I would invariably be tanked up and c) I would undoubtedly be filmed being shockingly insulting to both away players and fans, thereby ruining my (any?!) reputation I may have outside of my "football mates". If these lads keep the cameras in the Chapel or the Family Centre and I think it will all be OK.
  7. I think he's been poor since the Wolves game last season. Defensively, he's reverted back to marking space and poncing around between two or three players without any conviction or intent to dispossess. Offensively he's started to fall back into offering himself with his back to goal too much, stalling momentum. His pressing is average and his crossing less than average since his free kick against Man U last season. It's one of the reasons Ings and Adams have little service. Personally I'd start with Armstrong over JWP any day of the week.
  8. Let us hope that the cards actually work in the entry machines too. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a complete ****ing disaster on Saturday and not just on the pitch!
  9. Exactly. You'd think we signed Sergio Ramos last Thursday, judging by the responses on twitter. Assuming he's picked, the poor bugger is gonna have to **** some miracles from the first minute if he's going to make much difference to that defence.
  10. If Maguire goes for big money, it would not be surprising to see prices for CB's, particularly domestic ones or PL experienced ones, escalate before the transfer window ends. IMHO, i can see us getting in a late loan deal, similar to when we signed Alderweireld on loan.
  11. Hope the lad does well. Welcome to the club and don't listen to the f u c k wit whingers. There are some utter *****s on this forum.
  12. I prefer your version.
  13. For ****s sake, some of you lot are a soppy bunch of poncy ****s. It's only pre season.

    Hughsey

Christ on a bike, It doesn't take long for antagonists and apologists to ruin a thread. IMHO, Hughes seems to like the language if Victory, which after the previous two managers (who only spoke Caution), is a breath of fresh air and if he can teach the players that, then that's all that ****ing matters at the moment.
  15. A draw, at the very least, is essential. Preferably a win to go into Swansea with options.

    Our fans

I was sat down for large parts of the game, which had something with the 9 pints of ale and rasping sun beforehand, more than anything else.
  17. This one is a free hit. An opportunity to play without consequence. If Chelsea turn up thinking it is a bye and we can muster enough confidence to realise the league shackles are off, we'll do well. Optimistic here and going for a narrow win for saints with our goal leading a charmed life for the last 15 mins.
  18. I thought it was all Eric Black's fault? Isn't that what the general opinion was earlier in the season?
  19. We need to s**t some miracles here. Can't see it myself.
  20. Yeah, we'll probably get turned over. Yeah, we can't defend for ****e at the mo'. Yeah, we've been served up some right old pony for a season and a half. Yeah, we've sold big, bought cheap and got caught out. Yeah, we all feeling sorry for ourselves. Yeah, we're about to get relegated, barring a miracle. But it's an FA Cup semi final FFS and the team we love is in it. If fans can't get up for this, they can't get up for nowt. Irrespective of how you feel as to how it's run, fans represent more than just the club, they represent the City and each other. This is a showcase game and should be a sell out.
  21. For me the problem that arises is that why are the 6 foot plus CB's allowing the tiny right back to deal with crosses against tall strikers. Whenever there is a cross from the left, one of the CB's needs to be alert to it. Hopefully we will learn that for the Chelsea game. If Giroud plays all he needs to do is get back post onto a right sided cross and he'll profit. Cedric is good getting forward and is fine defending against runners, but not (obviously) in the air. The rest of the defence need to make up for that and yesterday all three CB's were pretty woeful.
  22. Someone had to come out with something. Tadic has and fair enough, but he needs to back up his words with actions. No more falling on the floor like a ******* Jessy at the first bit of contact, no more cantering around the pitch like a show pony looking for it's hair band, no more having a go at other players when he's failing to close down players himself, no more showboating and losing the ball, no more fancy short corners routines that are as effective as a chocolate fireguard. Sunday will show how much he actually cares and how much his words have substance. If he's picked, he and his attacking midfield cohorts need to show up and put in a bloody shift as a minimum requirement.
  23. Brighton will be happy with those 3 points. One Club we are unlikely to catch. Can't see us getting more than 36 points.
  24. Joe Kinnear. At least press conferences and post match interviews would be a laugh.
  25. We had a friendly against Bayern Munich one January night at SMS not long after we moved there. Can't remember the year. Think we got knocked out of the fa cup in the third round and the game was arranged for, I think, the Ted Bates trophy. Not sure though. Just remember being ******* freezing and didn't hang around for the trophy sharing.
