  1. Touch wood I've been alright but I can remember my ex missus getting unlucky at Dellhurst when we scored. Up went my arms as I prepared to jump 3 feet in the air but the dozy cow who found the game "boring" wasn't watching and tried to give me a hug at that very moment - caught her square in the jaw, didn't I! Luckily everyone behind who saw it said it was an accident which spared my death at the hands of her would be wrath! That would have been my worst injury had no-one butted in....
  2. Yes, absolutely. Despite living in London now and being able to choose a quick & easy path to a more local club, I'm Southampton born & raised so yes I will support which ever club represents my home town. When I sing "Southampton till I die" on a matchday, i mean it.
  3. Come on Grimsby!
  4. Good shout.
  5. Absolutely.
  6. Going in a group of lads? Whatever floats your boat. Go with a mixed group, much better. I do a fair bit of distance cycling and thoroughly recommend it. I have some mates who come along plus I advertise on facebook & gumtree for people to join us. Just got back from Brighton an hour ago having taken a group there from Victoria this morning, knackered but well worth it. The feeling of accomplishment is great, the banter is a good laugh, meeting new people is always a good craic, the pub stop a must & the phone number for the cute Auzzie brunette I took on the train home will be dialled tomorrow lunchtime! ;-) Also, you can save ****loads if you can talk your boss into signing up for the Cycle To Work scheme, 40-50% off bikes & equipment. Sorts me out a right treat & I work from home!
  7. Funniest thing I've seen on here in yonks! It's blatantly Orient and I thought that was common knowledge. I doubt he has much love for us what withall the **** we've sung at him over the years anyway.
  8. Been back an hour or so and having arrived red faced at being caned for another £30 for having the wrong train ticket am rather glad I went. Credit to any Saint who went along today, the vocal support was up there with any other away game I've done this season if not better. All in all about £100 well spent. Can't sleep! GET IN!!!!!!!!
  9. Go see him live, it's hilarious!
  10. Love him or hate him you can't not say legend. Love him or hate him you can't not deny he is a complete spanner. Johnny Marr = bigger legend imho!
  11. That reporter. I would!
  12. A few of us are going, my 5th away game of the season - hopefully my 10th away point! Lol. Likewise I've never been there before either so some postings regarding the best boozers would be much appreciated. I'd imagine we'll head up from Clapham Junction what with living in South London anyway.
  13. Barclays would not allow it.
  14. And to their credit I lol'd when they sang back with "We're all getting married. We're all getting married. Lalalala".
  15. This is very encouraging news indeed. A left pegger who can take free kicks? We'll take that!
  16. Thank goodness I have a mate with a ST, that's me sorted! Can't believe some people on here writing the match off already. It's the cup! Look what Burnley did to the arse last night, anything's possible....
  17. Unless you go to the aforementioned Wetherspoons, no basically. I'll not be drinking in there personally anymore. We're going to be in the Thameside by the river instead. If memory serves they were colours friendly last year too, not that I'll be wearing 'em.
  18. Yeah get a "group saver" ticket. All you need is to have 4 of you travelling together and at the same time and the tix get cheaper than railcard reductions, Ladysaint is right. Personally I'll be in the Barrow Boy & Banker in London Bridge at 11am and carrying on from there. Gonna be absolutely ****ed by the time I reach the Valley! Another Preston [2nd half] please lads.
  19. This. Particularly the Itchen North. **** sake lord duckhunter, give us our corner back.
  20. Good call there Pancake. One of my regulars too when I worked up that neck of the woods. I'm sure we'll find ourselves in there at some point before and/or after Charlton. Also there's a wetherspoons called the Barrowboy & Banker which can be alright on occasions. Take the main exit out of London Bridge station, turn right, walk down to the main road & you can't miss it.
  21. This, basically. Minus the Antigallican.
  22. I agree wholeheartedly. Just after their second goal I thought "**** this" and volunteered to go get the beers in in preperation for the [gulp] second half. Virtually everyone seemed to have that "here we go again" look about them at half time, I was one of them. Then came the reason why Saints fans are up there amongst the best. 2-0 down & we have a continuous OWTSGMI for a good length of time. The players seem more up for it & organised. GOAL! We went nuts. More & more singing. GOAL! We go absolutlely mental. The game draws on & we are all hoping we can cling on for a draw. They miss a sitter. Then DMG scores that goal! WE GO DELIRIOUS!!! The final whistle sees me hugging complete strangers. I've not celebrated a goal like our third as much since Adams at West Brom last season. Sheer shock! 6 of us went up to Blackpool for a weekender to coincide with the match & I've just got back to London. What a weekend we just had largely thanks to that result. The mood we were all in was second to none. If any of the players are reading this, well done for responding to the vocal support and going for it, our sides of recent years would not have done that. Although I'm blaming the lot of you for my uber happy drunken over-exuberance resulting in me pulling a right ruff 'un in that dodgy bar late on!
  23. My ball & chain calls it a "twange". Looks quite funny actually when she thinks Im not in the house.
  24. 1-0 to Saints. Total football shall prevail.
  25. Trains from London are absolutely fecked but we're still going up on National Express! Weekend in Notts on the **** interrupted by a trip across to Derby for the match. Perfect.
