Pardew will be gone by about Xmas when we are still adrift at the bottom of the table. A surge in form will then lead us to safety with two games to spare. Don't shoot the messenger - you did ask!
-
Our early season gates also show what crowds could have been like last season if Lowe hadn't returned and embarked on his scorched earth policy.

Non-sequitur!

OK, forced out by being undermined by a useless and arrogant chairman, if you want it in long-hand!
-
No, you're not. He is probably better than Wotton, though.

Sad git that I am, I know all the words to that song! -
He was a defender or defensive midfielder - never a striker! HTH

Agreed

Cheers - I will

Just went online to get 3 tickets and it says the game is sold out!! Is this true - I know they were available about 3 hours ago?

The necessity was to have a proper manager/coach and let him do his job, rather than installing a 'revolutionary coching set-up'. We were relegated due to dreadful footballing decisions by the Chairman/coaches, not because of finances. Having said that, let's all move on from those dark days please...

AP looking to appoint assistant and staff soon

Wally Downes was in my year at senior school - St. Clement Danes in West London. He is a character. -
'Talks a lot' is not the same as 'articulate'. In interviews or when doing radio/TV he rambles a lot, often incoherently. Take out his first season in the Prem with WHU, I'd say his record is poor to middling. In particular, in his two seasons in the CCC with WHU, who in relative terms had a good squad, he had a very poor reputation and had them playing terrible football. A sixth place finish (I think) enabled them to scrape into the play-offs, which they then muddled through. It was well known that WHU were about to sack him if they hadn't gone up. I will be as delighted as all the rest of you if he succeeds, and will certainly be at as many games as I can to lend support, but I must say that I'm concerned by this appointment. It gives me no great hope that we will be nearer the top than the bottom of the table this season, particularly with the -10 points.

Not for the first time, I'll form a minority of 1. Nice bloke, but very dodgy keeper (even last season, when he was much better than in the previous couple of years). I'm very unexcited by his re-signing.

Three little birds.

If MLT wasn't linked to Pinnacle what would you think now?

But he is, so the OP is hypothetical and irrelevant. -
Millwall reserve - says it all.
-
Is anyone certain that the stand-off with the league is about appealing over the 10 points - could it not be about a further 15 points for not coming out of admin the right way, or even just confirmation that they will grant the 'golden share' share to allow us to continue, despite not having the takeover completed on Friday?

Glory Days Great song, very apposite at the moment.
-
Personally, i'd rather have Sturrock back.
-
Signed by Bally for half a million if I remember correctly. Was around for about 3 years, in and out of the side. A right back who was sometimes put into midfield.

I feel physically sick when I see a list like that of this season's signings. When you think there are others like Forecast and Smith to add in.....Aaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!
-
...and maybe it won't!

However much SISU has put into Coventry, subsequent events have shown that it was another dreadful decision not to accept their offer. Look at what has happened to the two clubs since that time.
