  1. Saints vs. Wolves
  2. This was the case of Leicester last season ( until their great escape): always doing reasonably well but rarely coming away with points. At some point it becomes a negative spiral if they do not get a few wins...
  3. Liverpool would like to cut us out of the process too and go straight to buying Celtic's targets. Maybe the two clubs in the middle can receive a small consolation fee?
  4. Sportmaster stand rows 7 & 8, seats 64-71ish. So far just a small group, but it may grow before kickoff
  5. Fair enough. But if you want to sit with/near the Danish Saints and perhaps a few UK fans, there are still tickets in the home end...
  6. Why is the offer in this post not an option for you or South City Si? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?54475-The-Official-Saints-European-Tour-2015-16-Thread-FC-Midtjylland-in-Playoff-Round&p=2231659#post2231659
  7. I'll make sure to monitor this thread. I had assumed that it would be impossible to get home tickets too, but they were available at 12 CET today. I grabbed one for myself and one for my eldest son. These are backups as I was desperate enough to pursue sponsor tickets and I may have landed myself something in that department. If it goes through, I will be speaking in their sponsors lounge about being a Saints fan in Denmark in return for getting some sort of ticket. Nothing decided yet but it seems that either way I am going to the match - that was something I thought nearly impossible 24 hours ago!
  8. Bless 'im, little Bobby...
  9. A handful of Danish Saints have now bought tickets in the home end next to the away supporters
  10. Edit: let's wait and see how it pans out with the allocation
  11. dsb.dk is indeed the official railway website for booking train tickets. For more general journey planning use http://www.rejseplanen.dk/ - they include busses, trains etc. and have an English language version.
  12. According to wikipedia, their capacity for matches with no standing is only 9500. And we are only entitled to 5% of that?
  13. Their manager has noted that we take the competition seriously: (Danish news: http://www.bold.dk/nyt/thorup-det-ser-ikke-nemt-ud_2) - "English teams have traditionally not really been able to decide how to approach this tournament, but I have been following the communications of Ronald Koeman. They are taking this tournament seriously so we cannot expect any help from them. We need to play to very good matches, and then some, to be even close to having a chance", the manager states.
  14. I'm quite sure this won't happen. If it does, they can go to Århus, where the stadium has a 19,433 capacity. But I would be extremely surprised if they left their fortress for a few extra bob...
  15. APOEL has been very unkind to Danish teams over the years, and while FCM did lose it in the home match, they were the first Danish team to get an away victory against APOEL. So they are able to put up a fight. Nonetheless, Saints is a firm favourite in this tie. Their captain, Kristian Bach Bak, is a warrior and a leader but quite slow and prone to positional errors. He plays RB, so Mane/Tadic/etc. should target him for 180 minutes. He will bring us much joy The manager who finally brought them the championship last season (after several runners up medals) left them over the summer in a dispute with Benham and others. The succesor is the former Danish U21-coach, whom many felt underachieved in the U21 EC this summer where Denmark lost to Sweden in the semifinals with a team potentially strong enough to win the tournament. Fair to say that the jury is very much out on this new manager - can he pick up the reins from his predecessor?
  16. The Danish league is considerably worse than the Dutch. Promising young Danish talents use the Dutch league as a step up, and if they do well there, they can move to an even bigger league. Like Christian Eriksen with Ajax (and countless others of whom most failed miserably and went back to Denmark...). Loving that we drew a Danish team though my chances of getting a ticket is slim to none...
  17. They are only 36 miles apart: https://goo.gl/IAOT4b
  18. Let's draw FC Midtjylland with Tim Sparv in the team. The majority stockholder in the club is Brentford FC owner Matthew Benham...
  19. Astra and Minsk do the business too - we're in the top seed yes?
