I agree with your interpretation that touching the ball doesn't make it acceptable to take down the player. Ramirez vs. Brown as an infuriating example of a ref thinking that even the slightest touch of the ball could excuse the horrific challenge afterwards...

Unstoppable force vs. immovable object?!

Has the trail gone cold on this one?

Would have been amazing if Kora had won it - she would have spiced up their training sessions, I'd imagine!

I seem to remember a webcam being set up at the construction site at some point. Did that really happen? -
Artur Boruc + Eddie Mitchell = The end of the world as we know it?

Taïder Joins on 1 year Loan & Osvaldo to Inter - Official
Lazlo78 replied to itchen_dan's topic in The Saints
Ok, so his performances have no immediate effect on his price, if Inter wants to buy (but good performances obviously will increase the possibility of Inter signing him permanently). And if they back out, we'd be better off if Osvaldo has made a great impression in Serie A... So, dear Osvaldo, please score shedloads... -

Why are they the only bidders? If he does well, other clubs may spot a bargain there... -

By all accounts, Osvaldo seems to be doing a great job at Inter scoring goals, getting assists, looking interested during games and not punching teammates in training. It can only be a good thing for us that his Inter stay is on the right course to keep him motivated towards a permanent move back to Italy and to keep his price as high as possible... -
I think Turks got the quotes mixed up. Bad apple would be Taider

Straight talk regarding the midfield situation. As long as Big Vic, Cork etc. know that the manager has faith in them and will pick them when they fit the tactical setup best, they should be less frustrated than if they are just left out regardless of the tactics (like under MoPo)... Should help keep all midfielders on their toes!

Whoa there, partner. Posting a video like that isn't really helpful when I'm trying to conjure up all sorts of wild images of Erwin the puppet master! (I had actually missed that video, so thanks!)

Wow, amazing video. Best part was the scene where Benali introduces his family to the Liebherr family. Must be a great moment for Francis to be "back in the fold" and be able to stand with his family in a place where he should be greeted as a hero... I can imagine that once people get past the "he's not a football person" tag, Ralph Krueger is a very, very likeable and influential character. He certainly has something about him!

Whenever I see our matches or videos from training, I always smile when I see Erwin Koeman. Little is known about his role here, he doesn't speak to the press, isn't interviewed for the OS, we have no threads about him on here etc. This makes it easy to imagine pictures and stories about Erwin, silently sitting there behind his younger brother. Is he an evil twin plotting the downfall of SFC? Is he the real puppet master behind Ronald? Next SFC manager - Wotte style? Is he just here for the laughs, saying nothing - maybe the players don't know him either? Is he like the observer from Barcelona? Is he afraid that after 400+ club games, 31 NT games, and 16 years of football management, we are somehow going to figure out that he is an imposter who doesn't know anything about football? If only we could learn what is in his travel bag, we could get to know him so much better. He seems a likeable guy, but has anyone heard stories of how he is perceived by players, staff etc.?

Rewatch this. Wow...

Nope, he quit and is currently managing their national side. -

Saints in Iceland/Denmark

Had entirely forgotten about this thread. Let me know if anyone figures out something. We are few and far between, so it is quite difficult to organise anything... -
From the club's perspective this is really great news. Two great keepers to push each other for a starting place, with some youngsters to learn from them and Kelvin to ensure a little continuity in the squad... It won't last forever, but for this season (or even just until January) a determined Boruc would be a boost for us!

His agent has been linking this guy to a host of clubs. Considering his rather unimpressive CV, the Premier League is an unlikely destination for him...

Mass "Alpine moment" when England scored and noone knew how to celebrate because everyone want Roy to fail From my perspective, England has played a very good game tonight with a few weak individual performances in between. This Swiss side is actually quite good, so getting three points away against them is a very good result.
