We did it against Arsenal in 2001 and against Bolton in 2003. Can't think of any other times.

The story in itself provokes disbelief: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Jamo-Grant-would-have-saved.6269845.jp?CommentPage=1&CommentPageLength=10 However, the comment from HarryStotle makes your jaw hit the floor in amazement. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Jamo-Grant-would-have-saved.6269845.jp?CommentPage=1&CommentPageLength=10#5195568

Hmm. I guess, until you read the last line of the story, which was left out above, says: "Costa, who lived in the neighbourhood, had three children of her own. She was buried on Saturday." http://nz.news.yahoo.com/a/-/world/7109196/woman-lynched-after-drunk-hit-and-run/

A SAINTS fan has spent ages posting on the Internet. Going by the name StuRomseySaint, the coach and beer magnate has created a cult of adoring fans. However, his love of all things made of tight, red and white nylon and led some to question his choice of attire. One - who asked to remain nameless, said: "He's like Nick Illingsworth, but with more Saints shirts." StuRomseySaint could not be contacted for comment.

Just to clear up any confusion, The9 is not Dan Kerins!

IIRC, gate receipts were split on a per-game basis rather than as a whole lump sum for the season, which would mean that teams with larger grounds would still get more money - just not so much more than the rest. It worked for decades previous, so other than pure individualism on clubs' parts I don't see why it wouldn't work again - after all, it's not as if Football League clubs have to worry about competing with European rivals.

Fair enough, I made a couple of typos in it, so I put my hands up to that. However, I had to rewrite it completley (direct on to the page) plus design and sub the page myself right on deadline thanks to an IT problem, so I think I can be excused!

Flag Pompey fans are making: Seriously, they're making this too easy for us. The true spirit of Pompey is a man who allegedly uses 'executive' services? Brilliant.
-
Or they were at the same press day...

Nope - it's the fans, although it's quite a complicated process to make sure you don't just vote for your players: http://fourfourtwo.com/news/england/49997/default.aspx -
It would certainly put us on the map.

That's just on home replica shirts according to the club. There does seem room for the club to have a sponsor on players' shirts as well as away replica shirts. Although I'd be surprised if any firm would be willing to pay too much for shirt sponsorship without home replica shirts being included, which would surely play a huge part in brand awareness. As such, I wouldn't be surprised to see the players' shirts sponsor free too. That's just speculation on my part though, so don't read too much into it.

The News reporter isn't in court - he's getting his information from his two colleagues that are, which probably explains the lack of info as he's probably getting it about third hand by the time it gets to him. The BBC guy is tweeting direct from the court. Well, outside it I guess, as it's illegal to do so from in the court room. He'll have to keep running outside every ten minutes or risk being found in contempt!

Oh grow up. I don't know what your problem is with me, but I really couldn't care less. I just want to talk about the team I support with other fans.

Having just watched the video, Blackmore's questionning is fine. Pardew doesn't want to be there from the word go - it's clear to see. There is definitely something going on to have put him in that sort of mood - what it is we can only guess.

If Pompey's total debt is £60m (or above) and the HMRC are owed £12m, judging what has been said above, HMRC will not be able to contest the CVA (£12m is only 20 per cent of £60m). However, if the HMRC are owed the £18m that has been reported in recent days, HMRC can challenge the debt (£18m is roughly 30 per cent of £60m and about 26 per cent of £70m). Of course, this is dependent on the 75 per cent of total debt thing being correct, of which I have no idea.

Having said all that, Pompey's OS is now describing Chainrai as owner....
-
Quite. Exactly what the difference is between control and ownership, I don't know - but there is one and Chainrai has been very careful about not confusing the two in public.
-
There's a difference between owner and controller, as far as I know. Chainrai has denied being owner - he simply has control of Al Faraj's shares. That's how he can put them into administration - he's doing it as a creditor not as part of the club.

Interestingly, that seems to be written by the Pompey News reporter Steve Wilson, who also wrote the "Ten reasons why it's better to support Pompey than Saints" before the derby a few weeks back. For the record, he isn't a Pompey fan, IIRC.
