  1. Stats only tell half the story - I will stick by my views although I take on board the fact that decent creative midfield players don't grow on trees. Tadic has the hard bit ie the skill but he goes missing too often and the cold weather hasn't really kicked in yet.
  2. He's the best we've got at the club in terms of creativity (so no to your question), but in my opinion we should be able to attract a player who has his creativity plus a bit of steel and consistency, two qualities the not so cheap, Tadic lacks.
  3. I know I bang on about Tadic but week in week out his deficiencies are costing us points. With him it's one good thing followed by two bad and yet fans turn a blind eye to the latter fault
  4. I want to like him because he is our only genuine creative player but his inconsistency and his tendency to go missing is what gives us this vulnerability. To answer your question, there is no one else and that is our glaring weakness at present.
  5. Saints are showing worrying signs of having a weak underbelly and a lot of that is because Tadic often goes missing. He is our most creative player but not sure he is strong enough mentally for the Premiership
  6. Pleased to see that this Forum is being respectful to a guy who had strong opinions, not always popular, but he was undoubtedly a 100% Saint. Many on here ridiculed him as SISA's Chairman, many on here hated the fact that he had a voice that was louder than theirs. But the reason he had that voice was because he wasn't afraid of putting his name out there, unlike many on here who hide and snipe behind that cloak of anonymity. You were a great Saints fan, Mike....... and that is all that matters.
  7. Unless both clubs mutually agree
  8. I agree there is no point him being there and not getting game time
  9. He played for England U20s yesterday in France. There is a call back option in January
  10. tease
  11. s Predictable shoot the messenger response, Crook is closer to Saints than most!
  12. Who's money is he going to use I wonder?
  13. So why play Mane out wide where he is less effective?
  14. Already one of the greatest threads of all time - should be a sticky
  15. He was injured when the photo was taken - hamstring
  16. Surely "You're so Vain"?
  17. Yes and that is what I believed at that time, but I had not made allowances for the fact that Ms Liebherr was not in tune with what Cortese had been doing....in fact she strongly disagreed with it and since that February has taken big steps to rectify a lot of things I was protesting about. Unlike you Turkish I remain flexible in my opinions and I try to comment on what I see at the time. Things move on thankfully and I'm delighted that since my post the club have completely turned things around and DO care about the fans. If you stopped trying to be a smart arse in catching posters out your views would be taken much more seriously - you have a lot to say and can be funny but this sort of nit picking is tedious.
  18. What's changed you turnip is Ms Liebherr got rid of the man she had trusted to run the club in a proper fashion. Cortese couldn't care a jot about the fans and alienated vast swathes of the City - fortunately he did not own the club. But I'm sure you know this already
  19. I think when it all is taken into consideration we must be one of the best run clubs in terms of our financial arrangements in Europe. I shudder to think now where we could be if we had been taken over by Pinnacle/Marc Jackson/Middle East/Thai type combo. The Liebherr family have been very good considerate, owners but I think they have also made a shrewd investment considering their small initial outlay. Whoever it was that put them in touch with the club - was it Oldknow as rumoured? - deserves our gratitude, it was a fine day's work.
  20. I stand by what I said re Tadic - great skills and flashes of brilliance like the cross yesterday, but goes missing, is inconsistent and can be very frustrating. Not my sort of player, sorry. As for Clasie I was being a little sarcastic but I watched him closely in the second half and he was absolutely spent. Koeman should have replaced him earlier because for the final 10 minutes he looked completely out of his depth as the game just totally passed him by. His international pedigree makes him a good player on paper but at present Ward-Prowse must be wondering what it is that Clasie has that he doesn't.
  21. This line is on ESPN "No matter what TV companies will lead you to believe in the build-up to this weekend's Clasico on the coast, the only genuine south coast derby in the eyes of Saints followers is against arch enemy Portsmouth. An animosity which runs so deep it makes Rangers vs. Celtic look friendly".
  22. Liked this bit from ESPN "No matter what TV companies will lead you to believe in the build-up to this weekend's Clasico on the coast, the only genuine south coast derby in the eyes of Saints followers is against arch enemy Portsmouth. An animosity which runs so deep it makes Rangers vs. Celtic look friendly".
  23. Him and Tadic very similar players.
