It would but the bottom line is if he was doing the business on the pitch consistently then he wouldn't be subbed.
-
my views on Tadic are well known so I won't wind his supporters up any more except to say he has only started and finished the 90mins for us a total of 15 times in the Premiership. He has had 37 starts and been subbed 21 times. For me that is nowhere good enough for a player who costs what he did and who is our only true creative player.
-
Not sure it was a "bad" injury as you put it, also he has only played 6 times because he can't get into the team not because he is injured. I am not writing him off but at the same time for someone who cost as much as him I have to admit I am disappointed. Other players like van Dijk seem to have handled the transition into the premiership and he wasn't even an international.

He's on a learning curve you say - he is a World Cup semi finalist surely we can't teach him that much?
-
So why was he and not Juanmi our third impact sub? Bizarre

FA Cup 3rd Round Draw - Crystal Palace at Home
Fitzhugh Fella replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
In the old days lots of fans would have settled for a home draw in the expectation that we could win and progress and maybe even win the FA Cup. Years of failure seem to have driven the expectation out of us. -
Really a million times better? If Tadic is so bloody good why does Koeman always sub him?
-
Long cost the same as Tadic and overall contributes more when on the pitch imo

we need to address our weak underbelly - call for Kevin Nolan, we need his nastiness

Heresy, wash your mouth my son -
Wilson is a respected journalist and a Saints fan so he is probably not far from the mark. Whenever Mane goes this transfer talk is not helpful to him or us right now at a time we don't need distractions. A replacement should if possible be bought in January, if Koemans recent buys are anything to go by he will need 6 months bedding in time!

We have a soft underbelly and other teams know it We are not as fit as we were under MP No one there to make Pelle fight for his place RK has stated smelling the roses You can't replace men (Schneiderlin) with boys (Clasie) Apart from mane we are one-paced
-
Maybe we are at a T junction then?
-
I think RK has just bumped his head on a glass ceiling. I think as a club we are at something of a crossroads, we have done well to get to these particular crossroads but there might not be too much further we can travel unless the philosophy changes and a bigger stadium attracts bigger gates.......if feasible.

Actually it was Lowe's fellow Board members who, finally, reigned him in and said No to Hoddle.
-
Yes it's a close shout but I think MP has slightly more about him. Koeman got us into Europe but blew it in Denmark with his odd team selections
-
Both RK and MP are fine managers but if I had to chose I would go for Pochettino
-
Can't blame Yoshida - he does his best, the question should be asked why RK persists in picking him out of position ahead of Soares and Martina

Me too

Don't be daft! For a minute there I thought you might actually get through a post without resorting to unpleasant jibes but alas I was to be disappointed. FWIW I haven't really been following the Poch/Koeman debate but was merely pointing out that Pochetino did seem to have faith in Sam Gallagher and was prepared to use him, even if it was mainly from the bench. I gather the view of several of the U21s currently at SMS is that they were more likely to get a chance under MP than they are under RK. Personally I think MP was more inclined to risk using the youth but I accept that could be because the youth he had available to him was of a higher quality. It's a debate nothing less nothing more so there really is no need to get personal every time you reply surely?

CB Fry can't argue or even debate, he can only sneer. The bravest man the biggest cyber warrior on this forum don't you know

He gave Sam Gallagher 18 Prem apps

Koeman himself in an interview recently mentioned the fact that Tadic lost form when the winter arrived last year - from that I deduced he is not the sort of bloke who rolls his sleeves up when things get tough. You obviously like him, so we will have to differ but I remain very unconvinced. Like I say on form, on song a bloody good player but he is just too hit and miss for me.
