  1. Wasn't taking the p, sorry if you thought I was. Just trying to explain things but it is a good example of how written words can be interpreted differently.
  2. I am excited by this "Me" we have signed - I knew Les would not let us down, thank the Lord
  3. No not at all but I knew because I am not anonymous I was bound to get some personal stuff and so it proved.
  4. Turkish can write v funny posts, just don't understand why he turns some of them into personal vindictiveness. Perhaps he knows me ????
  5. Not so sure you know the exact meaning of the word pedant?
  6. Congratulations! When I wrote the OP on Sunday morning I said it would flush a few people out and although it took 134 posts I am not surprised that the person who made the most unpleasant reply was you. I don't know why you keep on about me being a historian, perhaps you are jealous but just to put the record straight for future generations who stumble on this Forum one day, most of what you sneeringly wrote is factually untrue. But if it helps you think you are funny then so be it.
  7. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/15026930.The_staggering_extent_of_Claude_Puel_s_player_rotation___when_will_it_stop_/?ref=mac
  8. Good to hear from you Rich
  9. Because on a match thread you post basically the same message every 10 minutes. To me it looks like you are on a one man propaganda mission. It's like Dalek going on about relegation all the time, both irritate.
  10. I have never ever seen the club state Austin was a replacement for Pelle. When Austin was signed Pelle's thoughts were a long way from China so it's a myth. I also don't think Boufal is comparable to Mane unfortunately. Skilful but nowhere near the final product.
  11. Yea but there is no need for it because it then escalates. You wouldn't call someone in a pub you didn't know a drama queen (esp if he was big). I agree it's not the worse insult in the world but it was fairly ironic considering the thread.
  12. There you go, you call him a drama queen because his view differs from you? He has his opinion you have yours why the need to insult him?
  13. I don't think you do it on purpose but I was just pointing out your continual positivity (i.e. Saying we will win next week) winds people up as much as the habitual "moaners". You probably are not on a wind up but that is how some perceive you.
  14. It might come as a bit of a shock to you but a forum is for views not facts. You just indulge in being a smart arse! (It's all right folks I know Let's be Avenue so am not saying anything untoward I don't say to his face). Duncan in the Guide Dog!
  15. Always agreed with most of what you post
  16. Those first two sentences made me laugh but it is very true, the internet is a safe battleground. I am a self-confessed bed wetter but strangely my Dad is twice as bad as me and when I am in his company and he starts moaning I instantly turn into a happy clappy. I at least enjoy winning, he still moans. I remember the day after we reached the Prem he rung me up and started slagging Adkins. I slammed the phone down and we didn't talk for a fortnight. Moan when things are bad or we lose but at least when we win enjoy it.
  17. Another one who has little to say about football and just comes on here to "play the poster".
  18. Spurs, only for Le Tiss to pull the plug at the last moment I believe
  19. I agree that panic January buying can be a risky counter productive process which is why the gamble we took on what we had last summer is now hurting us. Hindsight is a wonderful thing I also agree but whichever way you look at it there is or was an element of misjudgement/mismanagement which is fuelling the current frustration. Something fundamental has changed at our club in the last 6 months, we don't appear to be as focused.
  20. To be fair you are a civil poster
  21. But to be fair while I understand how that lot wind you up, you should recognise that the likes of Pamplemousse and Lord Duckhunter do the same to the other side. It's how we all react when we are wound up that this thread is about. Some resort to abuse and name calling or snidey put downs. That's when it gets unnecessarily unpleasant
  22. Not a bad idea
  23. True but this one is the best for inside stuff, and by far the most wide read. There are genuinely some very decent informative posters on here which I enjoy.
  24. Oh Gawd yes I do and I admonish myself for it afterwards but by and large I don't start it and at least I don't hide behind the cloak of anonymity.
  25. There you go again accusing everyone who does not agree with the great CB Fry as being hysterical. Would you not agree to have been more prepared in out targets following on from Austin's injury may have been a more judicious way of running a club and might have meant we had an extra striker for yesterday and the Liverpool games? Is that according to you a hysterical view?
