  2. I have been jousting with you Bern since the turn of the century and back then you admitted to rarely going to games. Does that make your opinion less valid. Yes it does is my honest opinion. Doesn't make you an inferior fan I guess, although your pennies don't swell the club coffers. Historians are rarely able to write about history with the benefit of being there however so don't know why you said that, its irrelevant. All I know if I gave my opinion as biased as you do I would make an effort to go now again just to ensure I wasn't talking twaddle. Bloody hell mate that's just common sense. If I lived in Aussie and never went I might lurk but not lecture as you do.
  3. A real fan, especially one who pontificates as much as you, should at least try and get to the odd game, especially as you don't live far away. Let's face it you can't be arsed and you know it.
  4. Your summary of our current predicament is written with a rosy slant to promote your own views. That's up to you but you are one poster I only scan read because I always know what you are going to say and you don't bother going to games. One day you will say something original I hope.
  5. Indeed he can play in the box or down the flanks, he scores goals with both his head and feet and gets stuck in. He scored Saturday's goal despite having 6 stitches in a wound above his eye. Even if the club had doubts about Premiership pedigree not to offer him a contract means we could lose a lot of money. His contract runs out in May 2018 and other players on similar length contracts have had theirs extended but to date the club aren't talking to him or his agent. I guess only Les Reed can answer why not.
  6. I've watched a lot of Sam this season, much improved player in a struggling team and Charlie Wayman is wrong, some of his goals are individual efforts (see the one v Wolves). I have a feeling this could end up as another big mistake if a contract is not offered sooner or later.
  7. Not really true Nick. Sam actually turned out for Saints the day his dad died but Koeman never even once spoke to him in the two years he was here. Hardly standing by him. He has worked v hard at Blackburn but Saints are showing no inclination in opening contract talks up to now.
  8. It's the hope that kills you.
  9. Why did Palace give him a trial then?
  10. I think someone needs to tell that to Les Reed
  11. scored the winner yesterday. Goal nos 11 bit concerned to see the press are reporting he is running his contract down and Saints haven't offered him a new one yet https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/2786920/the-boss-of-goss-leeds-line-up-raid-for-liverpool-whizzkid-and-andy-robertson-to-quit-hull/ I know its only the Sun but even so hope the club haven't taken their eye off the ball
  12. He has the look of Black Adder about him, the one with the sticks up his nose and the night cap
  13. I am not sure you are being serious (it can be difficult with you sometimes) but you are spot on and so was Minsk. As you know I am quick to be disgruntled but our lack of a coherent plan re signing a central defender has left me feeling even more disgruntled than normal. Hope to God we win on Saturday.
  14. Agree but could we not have found this out before the 11th hour?
  15. Not sure they are that brave or stupid.
  16. At first he looked uncomfortable and he said the fans would have expected a weak line up, but he eventually agreed. Thought Stelling was slightly OTT, he sounded really angry.
  17. Jeremy Wilson has revealed that VvD is out for the Final. The club knew this but were keeping stum in case other clubs bumped their prices knowing we were desperate.
  18. Jeremy Wilson writing at 11.11pm last night on the DT website Southampton have not wanted to reveal the severity of Van Dijk’s injury until after the transfer window closes but it is understood that there is no expectation of him returning for next month’s big Wembley final. Hassen, as well as Gabbiadini, would be available to play against United in the League Cup final.
  19. Sakho on loan would have been a good acquisition even for £4m. He hasn't played much recently (no need to rotate), agreed, but he has played a lot more than Gardos over the last 2 years and Puel was happy for him to be on the bench last night and face Arsenal
  20. Did anyone see Harlee Dean for Brentford v Villa last night? He was superb. Now where have I heard that name before?
  21. Doesn't speak English unfortunately
  22. Saturday's programme contained a feature on Taylor which explained the rationale of his signing
  23. Good to see Sam there last night http://www.rovers.co.uk//news/article/2016-17/sam-gallagher-blackburn-rovers-blackpool-3539208.aspx
