Seriously? Giggs? A nasty piece of work if ever I saw one and far too much United blood in his veins. It would be an awful appointment rather in the same category as Hodgson or Pardew.

Let's hope Les Reed and Co get it right this time and in time to have a better window than last summer.

Puel Sacked? - As Reported by Crook of Sh*t
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Precisely, it's a bizarre scenario and one the club should have avoided. Surely his position is 100% untenable? -
Short answer, when we build and more importantly fill a 65,000 capacity stadium or persuade Bill Gates living in Woolston is the ideal place to raise a family.
-
I think the "should he stay should he go" debate to be a bit superfluous now. He's going of that I am sure. Only time will tell if we made the right decision and much will depend on our powers of persuasion in terms of recruiting a replacement. This is when Les Reed earns his money.
-
The club are riding two horses at present but sooner or later are going to have to take a decision. My money is still firmly on him going.
-
Very clever. I just hope they manage to collar him.

It's my opinion yes. This forum is based on opinions. Some educated some not so educated but while I don't have any idea who is being lined up I remain sure CP is on his way due to the odd snippet I've heard and reading between the lines spoken by Krueger. I wouldn't be too upset to see Puel depart but his departure within 12 months does undermine my faith that the powers to be will get it right next time. We really have to get some stability into this position.
-
I base my belief that Puel is going on something I have heard yes. I can't give evidence (as requested by View from the Top) as to the delay in announcing his replacement however, it's just my personal opinion having studied the way Reed operates.
-
Because they would have preferred to be in a position to reveal the new man at the same time Puel's departure starts to leak out. Les likes to at least look like he's in total control. Why you find that ridiculous is beyond me but you seem to take even slight criticism of the club personally. Bizarre.
-
I think he has already been told but there will be no formal announcement until the club have found a replacement but on that front they are struggling.

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Please let this be true -
If I hadn't been to many matches last season I would probably be in the Puel should stay camp. But having only missed on home game then I lean to the Adieu Claude side of the fence.
-
Loved the comment that they are about to start a 'magical journey'. Delusion at its finest.

The Fulham manager with Stuart Gray as coach might be worth a punt?
-
Bit harsh that. He cost us peanuts, was signed as a backup, always gave 100% and of course scored that goal. A nice fella too, I have heard.

2003 Cup Final where he played for 1-0 LOSS

Allardyce makes Harry Redknapp look positively whiter than white. No thanks!
-
I'll make no comment except to say that slowly I am being proved right.
-
I must admit I am coming off the fence now and think Puel should go. 8th place blah blah blah but I have been totally bored for months. I just hope Lou Reed and Freddy Krueger have someone lined up, otherwise we might as well stick and not bust.

End of an era - the last man to play at the Dell retires

End of an era - the last man to play at the Dell retires
Fitzhugh Fella posted a topic in The Saints
I think I am right in saying that as Exeter's Matthew Oakley has just announced he is hanging up his boots, there is no one else currently turning out in professional British football who played at The Dell. Soon the number of Saints fans who never visited the Dell will be in the majority and yet MLT's winning goal only seems like yesterday to me.
