  1. If you are over 60 the answer has to be the Cup
  2. More like Branfoot
  3. I really feel for the lad. Caught up in situation not of his making between a crap board and a crap manager. 19m wasted
  4. I think we should all track Trousers progress like one of those plane satellite things. If he can make it safely (and good luck) then there is hope yet for man kind. Keep us posted. I am thinking twice about driving to Winchester to watch it at a mate’s house. That’s how intrepid I am.
  5. I also think there is a hidden second contract under the table dependent on what transpires. 48 hours to negotiate a contract for just 8 games doesn’t add up.
  6. ‪I welcome Mark Hughes under the circumstances and we now have a fighting chance, but I remain concerned that although our players have enough talent many of them have shown a worrying lack of fight. Can that be instilled? Soon find out I guess. ‬
  7. Big rumour around town is Hughes has been on a retainer here for the last month.
  8. Strachan is a busted flush who blew it for me with his tactics in Cardiff. Should have gone for the Fulham manager last summer. Too late now so either Silva but more likely Hughes.
  9. A search for a new manager “is now underway”? F@@@ me should have been underway long before this evening.
  10. You are dead right. Let’s all sit back do nothing and pretend relegation won’t happen.
  11. ‪West Ham fans force their owners to leave the directors box before the final whistle in pitchside demo? Hmm food for thought though not sure #saintsfc fans would go down that path. Mind you these are desperate days‬ and if the Board won’t listen......
  12. Thanks for the name calling. Think we are going around in circles here but I think you read me wrong. My gripe is solely against those who continue to think we are not in the mire because they then encourage the likes of Reed etc to think nothing needs addressing. I think you and me are are on the same page actually but something is getting lost in translation? Or there again I could be the old fool you called me. Jesus it's hard being a Saints fan.
  13. Yep I am blaming the fans - the ones that stick their heads in the sand - thankfully a minority. I am full of praise for most fans who continue to make good noise as they did v Stoke and the ones that go away.
  14. Redmond has one reasonable game and he's straight back in? Bizarre
  15. Hands on new owners with deep pockets, altruistic ambitions and a 100% attendance record A vastly experienced yet modest director of football who knows when to act when things go pear shape A hands on Chairman who has a deep empathy with the fans with second to none, plain speaking communication skills An inspirational captain who, sleeves rolled up, leads from the front The club is going places
  16. Lack of fight Lack of passion Lack of leadership Lack of intensity Lack of aggression
  17. You are sometimes deliberately provocative just for the sake of it. At the game on Saturday the fans started off right behind the team but after 20 mins of mind numbing passionless football they understandably lost the will to live. 4 wins at home in the League in 13 months and you are still blaming the fans.
  18. I agree it's not his fault we spunked up £19m for him. He seems a decent enough player but buying someone like him who they admitted would take time to settle was very poor management especially when we let someone go out on loan at the beginning of the season who would have done a better job.
  19. Were you there? There was no applause just bemusement because the ref did not allow us to take the free kick.
  20. Good thinking, let's wait until June and then really let our feelings be known.
  21. Sorry mate but if you really think over 90 minutes we played good positive football then you need a reality check. Fans like you encourage the sleep walk with your false positivity. We are **** and have been all season.
  22. I really feel sorry for him, it's not his fault we spunked £19m up against a wall. But like someone said above, Sam Gallagher would have been a better option had he been given a chance this season but Pellegrini knew better.

    Redmond

Yea but has he got the right to make that stare? Redmond seems to think he is something special when actually he is an imposter. He did OK today by his standards but for me he sums us up this season.
  24. Let’s hope we are rewarded with 3 points.
  25. No but they are responsible for the forecourt etc around the ground, the crucial area where the Arsenal ground staff worked so hard on prior to last night’s game going ahead. That’s my point.
