And I heard this morning that Surman is now definately going to Wolves and Fry has said "so the wages can be paid" so that sounds like he has little faith in Mr Lynham.

Just heard from someone perfectly placed to know that Wolves and Saints have agreed a fee and Surman is deffo going to sign this week. And here's the interesting bit it is "to cover the wages" so Fry seems to have no confidence in Mr Lynham.

I think most now accept the Swiss consortium are our last chance but there is a danger they will turn their backs on us next week. Why? Because Mark Fry is insisting they accept the deal agreed by the now discredited, never going to happen Pinnacle bid. Should the Swiss be held to the same agreement drawn up and agreed by someone who never had a snowball's chance in hell of delivering? I know time is short but Fry's unrealistic demands (trying to save his own bacon after being taken in by Pinnacle) could scupper our one last chance of survival. No one likes having a gun pointed at their head.

Must have been on the same coach. I was with a nipper who threw up half an hour after leaving Southampton and lost his false teeth in the process.

I get Hamburg (a) Keegan and Anderlecht (a) 1977 mixed up a little but Anderlechct for me was 48 hours on a coach, the beer in Brussells, the Saints fans singing "Chanson D'Amour" to the bemused Belgian cops and Channon having a good goal ruled out for offside. (Years later there were allegations made that were never refuted that the ref took a bribe). The coach left at midnight from West End, Southampton - you can imagine what sort of state everyone was in.

Gingeletiss - greetings from the dark side - can you see now why I called for the backer to come forward? This never added up, especially since the exclusivity period ended - I have some of the original Pinnacle paperwork in my possesion and it was becoming clear to me that TL was not being 100% straight - hence my call on this thread. I take no pleasure however because if the Swiss bid now fails it will be the end and tyre kickers like Lynham will have played their part.
