  1. Just got this from a mate who does corporate Hi mate Hope you are a well I’m not sure what’s going on in the board room, as yet again not one of the new board in directors box yesterday! The mess we are in you would think at least one of them would be in attendance
  2. Yes it’s very amateurish and a bit of a worry we can’t even efficiently dispense with a manager in a way that gives him a bit of respect (which he deserves). For me there are other culprits who should shoulder blame. Semmens definitely. He tied his colours to Ralph’s mast, admirable loyalty but wrong shout. Blackmore too must shoulder blame for losing his impartiality in the interests of feathering his own nest. He has not serviced his listeners interests. SD’s failure to deliver a striker has been the biggest failure and Ralph can feel really aggrieved there was no plan B (unlike Leeds who acted promptly when the Gakpo deal foundered and have since benefited from the young player they signed). I am not confident SD are in total control nor are capable of finding the right replacement which means relegation and the likely departure of the young promising players we signed. Jesus what a mess. Oh for some leadership right now
  3. Well he gave me the heads up re Mark Hughes coming in quite a while before it happened, but who knows how genuine this is. He's not a bullshitter but of course someone could be spinning him a line. I've got mixed feelings about Nuno. Good job at Wolves (agree with what you say re agent) but a big flop at Spurs. He's in Saudi at present so wouldn't cost much to buy him out. Ralph is making some strange statements recently almost as if he can see the end coming, but knowing us we will probably win our next 3 matches and the whole cycle is up and running again.
  4. Nuno Santo is a name the dogs on the street are saying.
  5. Spot on. And maybe that’s where the real problem lies.
  6. Almost funny if it wasn’t so credible. My how we have sunk. Arrogant fans laughing at themselves? Surely not.
  7. That’s a hard hitting post but there’s a fair amount of truth in it. As the days go by my faith in SD diminishes.
  8. We’re you the lone bloke in the Dell car park after the Port Vale cup-tie, waving a banner with “Branfoot must stay” on it?
  9. Advocating people not to have the vaccine could cause problems especially with the elderly
  10. I thought Adam Armstrong had a good game. Got through a lot of work with no support so surprised he’s being criticised on here. There’s a player in there somewhere and with encouragement he could still be a useful player for us. Thought Perraud came of age today. Lots of forward runs and solid defending. Good all round performance which has lifted fans but we need to carry it on at SP next week and build on it but so often we are one step forward and then two steps back. It’s always good to send London aristocracy back to the capital with their tail between their legs.
  11. So you are assuming we’ll still be in it?
  12. Got the Cortese bit spot on though didn’t I?
  13. No need for the patronising reply. Yes my comment about working it out for yourself was a little unnecessary, I apologise for that it wasn’t meant to be sarcastic but it did sound it.
  14. He means it is terrible the result could possibly mean a stay of execution for the manager. I am surprised you couldn’t work that out for yourself. Yes the 3 points will undoubtedly come in handy but when the bigger picture is taken into consideration the an ugly win could distort or cover up a deep seated problem.
  15. “ Clutching at Straws” new single by the Ralph Cult Band”
  16. Absolutely amazing how an ugly win can change perspectives. The manager has to be judged not on his last game but over a period of time. For me 2022 is a good benchmark to gauge him on and our appalling home record in that period. Yes we are all thankful we added 3 valuable points to our haul because we all know we are going to need them but the fact remains we are playing dreary negative football, we lose more than we win and aren’t really showing signs of an upturn anytime soon. A defeat in our next two matches will have all those making positive noises this morning gnashing their teeth again. We are going around in ever diminishing circles with this manager and the odd good result should not be allowed to camouflage the fact.
  17. How can anyone think that after 13/66 home points? Or just 3 wins from 22 home games? It’s utterly indefensible and worse than anything Hughes and Pellegrino produced. People who want him to stay must be utterly delusional or dangerous cultists.
  18. It’s getting tedious now. We all know (like Truss) he will go soon but the powers to be are clueless as to the how and when. Bit of leadership called for and every day Ralph stays my opinion of SD diminishes a tad. I am hoping they have a cunning plan.
  19. Not sure this is particularly relevant or significant but I gather none of the new owners were in the Directors Box yesterday (or that’s what I’ve been told)! Perhaps there just as fed up as the rest of us? 3 home wins in 22 home games hardly gets the blood running.
  20. Brilliant post. Thanks for being so articulate
  21. Religion and football don’t mix so no thanks, the last thing we need is a bible thumping manager. Listening to some of the “Ralph must stay” cultists I am intrigued their main and pathetic thrust is ….we might get “Big Sam” or “Southgate” or someone else equally repulsive. FFS have a little faith and assume our new owners are a little less Luddite. You can improve your team by sacking your manager without a replacement lined up. Just look along the road to Dean Court as an example. Staggering along with a lame duck in charge (as we are at the moment) is the worst of our options. We need some positive leadership from SL. Are they up to it? I fervently hope so.
  22. Nothing we can do about stepping stones but the fact he was here such a short period of time does perhaps suggest something is not quite right. Fans aren’t being “entitled” by asking pertinent questions. 2022 has been a poor year, we are slipping down the table, we made a big blunder in the window and the manager is growing unpopular with a large swathe of the fan base. And when we speak up the local journalist calls us arrogant. I would argue we are perfectly entitled to query the way our club is being run. It will be a bit late if we all kick off next May.
  23. You really are a believer in the earth is flat
  24. Very good post. Apathy has set in without a doubt plus a lowering of standards. There are still fans out there who are full of praise for Ralph and his achievements.
  25. Going to be hard to sign a decent forward in January with a lead weight around our neck and relegation beckoning.
