There is a lot of work to be done on Forte before he is the finished article. He's had a good day in so much he got 2 fairly straightforward goals but he did look out of his depth at times. Feet on ground and all that. Hopefully he will learn a lot over the next 12 months.

For me his best was the chip pver Schmeichal from the 18 yard line in the 6-3 game. How did he get it up and over the big Dane and then down again I will never know. And did Hone and Co genuinely think it was in the club's best interests or were they looking to make a few quid themselves. Derry - you need to dust off ITN if you have it. The season being referred to was 1948-49. Ramsey had gone to Spurs by then. We were up, no doubt about it but with Charlie injured we only picked up 4 points in the remainding games and were overhauled by both Fulham and West Brom. I regularly see "Bootsie" in the Kingsland - a lot of the old faces get in the "Pidgeon Club" in St Denys when Toddy does his NorthernSoul/Reggae gigs. There was one last Saturday but i had had enough to drink by 8 so went home to bed. The times they are a changing.

I don't know if you have watched many matches recently but if you had you will have seen that while we are picking up the required amount of points for promotion we are heading for a fall that we may be unable to pick ourselves up from. To avert that fall it could well be prudent to make a foray into the loan market before the window closes. There are too many on this forum who don't go to matches who think everything will be ok because of results. Scratch the surface a bit and you will see it's not that good.

I am just back and I am sorry to deflate anyone who hasn’t been and thinks a 3-0 win is satisfactory but that first half we were absolutely dire – the worst I have seen for ages. We looked absolutely clueless and my confidence in Adkins is draining. 2nd half obviously a bit better because we put the ball in the net twice and gained an element of control but that was only because Yeovil were awful. We were far better at Walsall last week – believe me. I am going to Bournemouth but we are going to perform a lot better to get anything.

Colin I am sorry I disagree. Richardson's distribution has been very poor. Hoof hoof hoof and while he maybe a better back than Butterfield - arguably - his passing is so bad I don't want him anywhere near the team.
