  1. Did ok and made one fabulous save but had he come for the original cross (which he should have) making the save would not be neccessary
  2. This is madness. He HAS to be given a proper chance...end of. I would rather us do the decent thing and stand by him and go down rather than knee jerk and stay up. Integrity loyalty and faith and I am not a happy clappy.
  3. Lacked leadership on the pitch today, no one organising or rallying. Jimmy Case would be turning in his grave if he was dead!!!! Lallana's worst game by some distance - ineffectual up front, poor free kicks and did not support Fox, who did OK considering. Our two best players were Davis and Gazzaniga Hooiveld is becoming a liability he had no need to stick his foot out - it was needless, clumsy and stupid. Too many Championship players involved today ie Chaplow, Puncheon, Do Prado, Richardson That was two points thrown away because Fulham were poor. Whatever, I would leave R Lambert on the pitch even with one leg - he is our talisman. For the first time tonight I find myself slightly questioning NA's judgement. Massive respect for him but he needs to learn quickly and not sure he is doing that. And surely it is time to spend that 30 grand and reintroduce Ryan Dickson at least onto the bench? He is better than Richardson and gives us an option. To leave on a high - we have the next fortnight being out of a relegation position.
  4. No leadership on the pitch today - with someone like Case playing we would have got 3 points.
  5. News just in Last night a raging mob of deluded Paulsgrove inhabitants severley beat up Jimmy Sommerville
  6. Sorry David I replied to your PM without seeing your post. Hope you thought the book worth it, I think it is the sort of book you appreciate more after you see it. I am very dissapointed that Leighton Mitchell who is in charge of the club's commercial dept has done virtually nothing to promote it and tucked it away in the far recesses of the club shop. As for the £1:82 I am just happy the book has found a decent home. Cheers Duncan
  7. Dull Days does not live in the real world Turkish - he and his wife Manji live in cyberspace all the while terrified that the peasants will revolt and unseat their masters.
  8. Manji - the anonymous keyboard warrior
  9. Nick you always seem to take things personally - he is just expressing a view, it may not be one you agree with, and I am not saying it is right, but why use language like childish and ignorant?
  10. Hmmmm! What has happened to make him change this philosophy. And before Dell Days tries to muck rake, I have been told nothing and I have not (yet) drawn any conclusions one way or another.
  11. Some advice -You would be the last person I would share any conclusions with as you are nothing but a stirring troll who needs to get a life. HTH
  12. I have heard nothing but that doesn't mean to say I can't say I am not surprised.
  13. Can't say I am particularly surprised
  14. This thread is ridiculous and embarrassing. FFS we are going to lose games this season and just staying up will be a massive achievement - so lets get our expectations in perspective and not start stupid NA might get sacked threads everytime some team like Everton (been in the top flight for 80 odd years) beat us.
  15. FFS I come on here to find out how the game went and already half the thread is taken up by your over-the-top knee jerk reactions from afar followed up by needless digs at anyone who dares to counter your views. I have never criticised you before Alpine but a lot of the time you ask for what you get, I really wish sometimes you post your view/comment then shut the **** up.
  16. Christ my 197 only gets me mid-table - going to have to push on to get into Europe
  17. Thanks Matt has offered to do some signing sessions a bit nearer Xmas - should help with sales!!!!!
  18. This draw is perfect for the likes of Chaplow, Guly, Cork Seaborne etc etc to prove they are good enough to be given a chance in the Premiership
  19. Pretty sure it is just for Southampton.
  20. well thanks for that which means presumably the JPT app does not count towards the 30
  21. Thanks for the replies - but does anyone know whether tribunals consider JPT appearances to count?
  22. Yea but if the sub app in the JPT counts - we could still get 9 more games o0ut of him at no extra cost. as you say wages must be a problem but surprise dhe has not gone out on loan
  23. I have been a bit bemused why Dickson has not been considered for Capital One Cup duty this season and excluded from the 25 man squad, not withstanding perhaps that NA simply does not rate him. I looked up the tribunal decision when we signed him and it was this The tribunal ordered Saints to pay £125,000 and then a further £25,000 for every 10 appearances up to 40. There was also an extra £25,000 to be found if Saints gained promotion any time in the subsequent three years. I make it that he has started 19 games with 10 sub appearances in all competitions open to everyone. Obviously one more app triggers another £25,000, but then I realised he came on as a sub in the 10-11 Johnstones Paint trophy defeat v Swindon which technically means he has 30 apps under his belt or - and this is my question - does the JPT not count towards his tally? The answer must be out there but I am no internet sleuth unlike some on here and I need the answer because I am compiling his profile for "ALL the SAINTS" due out next year.
  24. Perhaps you did not read my post all the way through - if you had you would have also seen his name is Ward-Prowse and not Ward-Price
  25. Just back Bit disappointing really as although the win was comfortable enough there was little to get excited about. We played the ball around nicely but lacked that final incisive ball. What did I learn and what were the pluses and minuses. Rodriguez scored a nice opening goal a little similar to Lambert’s goal v Villa. He had already had a one on one but his shot was well saved and it was good to see him get his first competitive goal. He worked hard, led the line intelligently and scored the second, a pen which their keeper nearly saved but the ball trickled over the line much to Rodriguez’s relief. De Ridder – perfect cameo tonight from him. Bags of pace, lots of skill but absolutely no end product (apart from winning the pen which was a little fortunate). Someone shouted behind me “why don’t you look where you are running”? and that summed his play up. He promises so much but plays with his head down, he hits crosses hopefully and really does not seem to know where he or the ball is going to end up. At the very most an impact player from the bench. Gazza – worryingly dropped two crosses but apart from that made one or two good saves, one with the very last shot of the game. Pretty sure Davis would have made the saves too but importantly there were one or two Gazza held while I am tempted to think Kelvin may have parried. His distribution was also good. Richardson is a better footballer than Fox but his crossing was shocking as usual. Within the first half hour he overhit no fewer than four crosses and each time he had time to deliver. Seaborne played left back and did ok even showing some skill once or twice with some deft touches but I full-back is not his position and distribution was average. Hooiveld and Yoshida did well , the Japanese has bags of confidence and mobility – like the look of him. Cork was very busy but worryingly went down with 10 mins to go after a heavy tackle and did not move. It looked like a reoccurrence of his old injury but after a couple of mins he walked off without too much discomfort (to be replaced by someone I have not heard of, a big midfielder called Andy Robinson – anyone know anything?). Chaplow was Chaplow, good at times but gave the ball away and once very well-placed had a shot which went over by 20 yards – a poor effort. Do Prado – good and bad. Worked hard, ran around, hit the post with a header but then gives the ball away in a slack fashion. Ward-Prowse as busy as ever but somehow did not catch the eye as much as he does when surrounded by better players. That’s about it – job well done, not sure how many of Wednesday’s team are considered first teamers but we beat them fairly easily and got no bookings. Cork’s injury aside NA will be fairly pleased I imagine.
