And only got back into the team recently because of suspensions. Have seen him on the box a few times and I have to say not impressed. I don't think he is Premiership class.

Lots of threads on Nigel Adkins but......

Alpine - I get comfort that after 7 games and a tough start we are currently not in a relegation spot. I would have settled for that back on that hot day in August prior to the Man City game. -
Lots of threads on Nigel Adkins but......

For me 17th is success and we are there now ie three teams below us. Yes it is early days of course but this should be our initial goal. Just need to do better than the 3 teams beneath us. -
Fair play, I have a lot of respect for this lad - he talks from the heart (sensibly) and although I am not going soft he is the sort of fan that triggers a sliver of sympathy for your plight.

Disaggre, Dave, thought he was crap tonight

I have been a bit disappointed about the nos of threads started on the likely fate of our manager. Yes he has made mistakes, yes his after match interviews are repetitive and becoming patronising, yes he could be doing better but..... if the season closed tonight we would be safe and that for me is enough as things stand. But the reason I started yet another NA thread is I have just watched the U21 game v Man United and very enjoyable it was too (we equalised with the last kick but were far the better side all night). Who was there watching in the stands? Yes Nigel Adkins, 24 hours after a Prem game. His presence would have been a real boost to the youngsters who performed well (esp Reeves). I am not a happy clappy and I am not trying to overtake NickG as the club's chief propagandist, but I would just like all fans to rally behind our manager for a while longer. Yes not everything is right, his substitutions are questionable etc etc but why don't we all hold fire until at least Xmas and the January window transfer. The fact that he went all the way to Lancashire today to support thr U21s shows his commitment to the cause. I think we got it far from right in our recruitment in the summer but that might not be his fault - back-to-back promotions have earnt him the chance to prove himself without being judged after a handful of games. Apologies to NickG for stealing his thunder.

And Seaborne did not look that great tonight for the U21s at Manchester

I really enjoyed that and we deserved a point at the very least. We played too much tippy tappy and got caught on the break but quite impressive. Interesting that NA was there, fair play to him

Great post Wade. I actually slightly disagree with your view of Adkins - if we finish the season in the position we are currently in it will be a great achievement and I will be delirious, but at the same time neither can I buy into NickG's slightly OTT rallying cry. It is time people on this forum were allowed to give their view without being called moronic names. Some believe the future is bright - great, some are more negative but let's not turn this into a petty name calling exercise that just ends up tedious.

Is the software safe to download, my computer is flashing up warnings?

Can you not think of a more intelligent insult to people (and I am not one on this particular subject) who just happen to have an alternative view? You come across as someone who is is very immature, why not just give us your reasoning without resulting to cheap lemming-like nastiness?

Where do you find first row sports?

No Ryan Dickson? Just how bad is Lee's injury?
-
Maybe time for Nicola to cough up the 30 grand? With all our woes at full back and not being able to sign anyone until Jan then Dickson could yet come in useful?

Cruel but fair

That guy has done his homework and he is articulate. He is the sort of bloke all P*mpey fans should be taking a cue from.

Actually we drew but don't let that small detail get in the way of an otherwise excellent propaganda exercise

I would run for cover if I were you Miltonroader

Did ok and made one fabulous save but had he come for the original cross (which he should have) making the save would not be neccessary

This is madness. He HAS to be given a proper chance...end of. I would rather us do the decent thing and stand by him and go down rather than knee jerk and stay up. Integrity loyalty and faith and I am not a happy clappy.

Lacked leadership on the pitch today, no one organising or rallying. Jimmy Case would be turning in his grave if he was dead!!!! Lallana's worst game by some distance - ineffectual up front, poor free kicks and did not support Fox, who did OK considering. Our two best players were Davis and Gazzaniga Hooiveld is becoming a liability he had no need to stick his foot out - it was needless, clumsy and stupid. Too many Championship players involved today ie Chaplow, Puncheon, Do Prado, Richardson That was two points thrown away because Fulham were poor. Whatever, I would leave R Lambert on the pitch even with one leg - he is our talisman. For the first time tonight I find myself slightly questioning NA's judgement. Massive respect for him but he needs to learn quickly and not sure he is doing that. And surely it is time to spend that 30 grand and reintroduce Ryan Dickson at least onto the bench? He is better than Richardson and gives us an option. To leave on a high - we have the next fortnight being out of a relegation position.
