Summary of Nigel's Post-Match interview after Leeds
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Arsenal's "fringe players" put up a spunky performance Ron? For some reason ours didn't. Perhaps that is something to do with the manager? -
Leeds 3 - 0 Saints - Post Match Reaction

This is from someone who was there - armchair viewers should have a bit of respect. -
I agree - you only have to see the hunger of Arsenal tonight to see why as a club at the moment we are pathetic
-
I was at West Ham and would not blame Boruc for any of the goals - he made one poor kicked clearance but, other than that was steady. Again I was at the match on Sunday and felt both goals were not particularly his fault. I simply cannot believe that fans can give a player stick on their home debut. Everybody deserves at least a game or two to settle and let's be honest he hardly has the best defence in the Premiership in front of him. No he should not have reacted the way he did, but thanks to some idiots in the Chapel, we now have a bit of a problem, goalkeeping wise. Davis is not good enough, Gazzaniga will be hacked off and not exactly confident and now we have our third gk the subject of an internal investigation which is hardly going to make him committed to the cause, especially after being heckled by fans. Sometimes the fans are our own worse enemies. Mind you the club has hardly covered itself in roses here. Had we bought an experienced gk in the summer we would not have to thrown in an unfit one who clearly was signed in a bit of a hurry. Simon Carter, the Echo sports editor described our summer transfer policy as "deeply flawed" and I am starting to see where he is coming from.

I noticed that - there seemed to be a complete lack of questioning why Williamson turned down a new contract at SU in preference of a month's contract with the plucky phew. Shoddy journalism, if I had a contact nos for the commentator I would drop him a line to put him right. As every day passes this is allowed to continue the scandal deepens. If I was a supporter of other league 1 teams I would be bloody angry at this farce. And if I was owed money I would be bloody furious that P+rtsmouth are allowed to spend heavily on wages while welshing on other obligations.

He needs games but I hope we have a recall option

I think Matt pulls no punches, don't think he is bothered what people think. He does not like NC and will continue to say it as he sees it. He has no obligation to be "diplomatic". I have no problem with that either. Sorry Ron, not looking to be confrontational but I fail to see why fans don't like Matt being honest in his opinions. Should there be some rule that no one should be allowed to criticise SFC, should they have good reason?

So it seems but I guess he is fully entitled to do that as it is from his pocket (or the Liebherr family's) the revenue is being denied. If Lowe did this then we would all rightfully be up in arms but don't forget the club's finances are not, strictly speaking, our business any more. We forfeited that right when we passed into private ownership. I did point this out at the time but was accused of having an agenda.

Saints 1-2 Spurs // Post-Match Views

Bit strange when we have a dearth of full-backs that one is denied a chance because one of his team mates "doesn't like playing with him". No wonder the club is in a little bit of defensive disarray. But the fact remain he is still on the books and available. -

Dare I mention Ryan Dickson? -
I totally agree - so why do you and I fight?

Perhaps NC is not allowing certain people to buy corporate "positions".

Great to see Matt sitting among us "plebs" today, just one of the fans. Felt a bit sorry for him that he got constantly mobbed by people asking for photos etc, would have been nice if they treated him normally for at least the duration of the game but I guess it is not every day a legend becomes mortal. Maybe NC will join us next week?

No one Beats brian O'Neil. I was hearing this week how Francis Burns used to drive them both home from the railway station after away trips. FB was teetotal but Brian had a skinful and was sitting in the back. Suddenly while Francis was doing 60mph overr the Redbridge flyover Brian suddenly put both hands over Francis's eyes and kept them there.

Team for Tottenham, your thoughts?
Fitzhugh Fella replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
I note how Sharp is doing his reputation on here no harm by being at Forest but trust me he is not a Premiership player -
I am getting worried, the Jimmy Savile thread is catching this one up

Someone with pre NC connections to St Marys has mentioned it. Personally I thought Strachan was over rated. I would reather keep NA -
He rarely has an end product (Stevenage beside)

I think we and the rest of football "sold our soul" a while ago. Personally I will always support the team no matter who is in charge but I really can't see Nicola Cortese and Harry Redknapp getting along. -
That is a very revealing and interesting stat and tells its own tale

This, and eloquently put if I may say
