  1. I am surprised there has - after their first point in over a month - been no mention of the double decker bus doing a quick lap of Southsea Common.
  2. Here is a link to Dave Juson's view of the evening http://www.deftlyhallowed.co.uk/
  3. Not right now no.... although it is a more than fair question and perhaps one that the club should shoulder some responsibility to answer before I share anything.
  4. And Bryn is so sprightly and with it. He reminds me of Norman Wisdom
  5. Thanks 9-3, sorry didn't get to chat longer , it was very busy. When I left at midnight, MLT, Franny, Jim Steele, Hughie Fisher, Glenn Cockerill etc were still in the bar, so I think they enjoyed it as well. Jim Steele was the star although I thought David Hughes hit the nail on the head during his interview talking about in reality it is the fans who actually spiritually own the club. I also thought Gordon Watson also came across really well, he has really taken Southampton to his heart. A good night. Duncan

  7. love that "bubbly-soaked figurehead of a social experiment" line - you must have had a fine English teacher.
  8. loyalty needs to be a two way street though and not sure there is more than one street in SMS
  9. No but he doesn't even shake hands with the opposing players at the final whistle. Yesterday he just ran off (quicker than at any stage during the game too). I am losing patience with him, square peg in a round hole, a bit like Ramirez. £25m up the Swanee.
  10. And no one should appreciate that more than you...mate!
  11. I refer you to my earlier post (nos 134) in this thread http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?47608-January-2014-Transfer-news-amp-rumours/page3#.Uo9j4lp****
  12. More money being found behind Guy's sofa? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25036990
  13. I stand by what I said, I believe the club think the youngsters are more than adequate cover.
  14. Don't think we will be in for anyone
  15. Hi the book will be available through us (website or pick up at SMS, or Eastleigh) or Waterstones. It will not be available at the club shop I am afraid. Mick Channon is doing a signing session at Waterstones Above Bar on the 5th December at 7pm if you can make it?
  16. Hope not he was clubbing it last night
  17. I have a little respect for this guy despite the fact he is a Skate. He did put his head above the parapet, he did take on the money men and he was right. I want Pompey to disappear into the non-league forever but I can't help thinking he did at least have the balls.
  18. He's still around, breeds sheep dogs but keeps an eye out for the Saints still
  19. Martin picked up a nasty ligament injury pre season, hence his absence
  20. Stuart Williams who played full-back for Saints 1962-66 and was Ted Bates's assistant between 1971 and 1973 has passed away. Previously with West Brom and capped over 40 times for Wales. I have sent the club a fuller profile which will be on their website shortly. A very nice man indeed, I would like to offer my condolences to all his family.
  21. Well said
  22. Nick Holmes is now coming
