What a strange post. Either MP has told you directly he is not considering his future elsewhere or you have a crystal ball.

Yes in your top 3 I reckon

I can honestly say I never saw Niemi make a mistake as blatant as Boruc's failure to beat Crouch to that corner.

I think a lot of the original sentiments connected to my OP have flown over a lot of peoples heads. -

It did but infuriatingly they omitted a crucial photograph that was integral to the whole article. If there is a link I will post it on here -
Dunno about that - we should already be laying plans inc Pochettino's new contract

Nick G wrote It won't mean this season has meant nothing to me if we go out at weekend, and honestly feel its a shame it would for you! Think we are about same age..so wouldn't have thought any saints fan of our age could be a glory hunter I am very proud of what we have achieved this season, in the league, but I feel it isn't going to get much better now and it is time to turn our attentions to the Cup. We are good enough on the day to win the bloody thing so let's turn our form into winning something tangible rather than just harbouring rosy memories and good feeling. We have won one senior trophy in 129 years, it's time to make that two -

Agreed but I am talking about the mark or imprint we have made outside Southampton. We are a revelation this season in terms of developing young English players etc etc but it would be great if we ended up with something tangible to show for it. IE THE FA CUP!!! -
We are safe, although it was frustrating to drop two points today it means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Our season will be gauged a success or a anti-climax on next Saturday's result. If we lose and finish 8th or 9th, history will judge this season as just being ordinary, despite the truly great football we have played. That is why we need to grab the FA Cup by the collar starting at the Stadium of Light next Saturday lunchtime. We are watching one of the best ever Saints teams at present but it means nothing if all we end up with is a top 10 finish.

OK if it was a genuine attempt at humour I apologise - can't say more than that. -

Andre - ta for your support but people like Dig Dog or whatever his name is and CB Fry are just pathetic trolls that hide anonymously behind a computer screen insulting fans for some kind of sexual or deviant satisfaction. I should ignore them but sometimes I can't resist letting them know how truly yellow bellied they are. If one of them posted under his (or her) real name at least you could offer them a modicum of respect. Anyway whoever posted the picture many thanks I have texted Matt to show him. -

Hagiology Books Back in the Club Shop!

It's a good bet but this one goes back a bit -
Pleased to say if you want to buy "All the Saints", or any other books from the Hagiology back catalogue they will be available as from tomorrow lunch-time from the stadium club shop. "Suited and Booted" will also be on sale at a special offer of a tenner. Meanwhile if anyone can pick up a book from Otterbourne, Eastleigh or Bristol then we have copies of "All the Saints" autographed by Matt Le Tissier available for £30. Contact me on Duncan@duncanholley.co.uk Also if you get a chance, pick up the Football Echo tomorrow if you like a murder mystery. I have written a recently discovered tale of a Saints player who committed murder and escaped the gallows. Finally here is a review of "All the Saints" from "Back Pass" magazine ALL THE SAINTS, A COMPLETE PLAYERS’ WHO’S WHO OF SOUTHAMPTON FC by Gary Chalk, Duncan Holley and David Bull (Hagiology Publishing, £35). IT DOESN’T happen very often, but every now and then a football book comes along that takes your breath away. Rarely are such treasures a tome devoted to one club. But All the Saints is no ordinary football book. Gary Chalk, Duncan Holley and David Bull have produced what is undoubtedly one of the most exhaustive and forensic examples of the Who’s Who genre. Given the multi-millions swishing around the top tier of the game these days, every leading club should commission such a book to both acknowledge and preserve their heritage, but don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen. All The Saints has been a couple of decades in the making, though the real work has been concentrated in the past four years, and it is full of hidden gems. Brilliantly researched, lavishly and cleverly illustrated, and written with real affinity for the club and its players, Messrs Chalk, Holley and Bull have come up with something very, very special. At £35, some will say it is not cheap. In truth, it is a snip at that price. Every Southampton supporter should buy it. So should every football statistician and historian. And every club chairman should be made to purchase All the Saints, if only to use it as a template for their own club to copy.

Getting Mauricio Pochettino to sign a new contract should be a top priority and would send a message as to the intentions of this new regime. My big fear is there are not enough "football" people at the club at present who can see the sense in taking such a step. It would be nice to think talks had at least started.

Dropping Cork would be simply ludicrous and incredibly demotivating, plus Chambers hobbled off on Saturday and I doubt would be fit. Pochettino's starting of Wanyama was nearly very costly.

Done - was well impressed with your fans at the Emirates

No not at all - when we have actually sold him, then maybe yes

Listen I am a glass half empty sort of chap however no way will we go down but...... I am slightly underwhelmed we have shown no ambition in the market though. The FA Cup should be a goal for us but we don't really seem bothered.
-
I think that unfair criticism. I just didn't think he would be up to leading the line against the best team (ish) in the country. However I was quite pleasantly surprised and thought that miss was not as bad as it looked as not only did the ball come quickly it came across him and his timing had to be 100%. Don't get me wrong I am all for youngsters coming through and would prefer him to Do Prado but I remember a young full back we had called Phil Warner who got ripped to shreds by a rampant Overmars at Highbury and never played in the Premiership again. He needs to be nurtured and not relied upon.

And the next one off the wage bill is......

If we have serious intentions on winning the FA Cup - which I hope we do - then we do need another striker, assuming the mad Italian leaves.
