  1. Thank you for taking the trouble to type all this. Although I accept my view is irrational I have to say Martin is my least favourite manager of all time. I did not enjoy his football in the Championship despite the reasonable results and eventual outcome. I think he was far too stubborn and was immature in his philosophy. There was something of the snake oil salesman about him. Towards the end the football under him was horrendous, how he can think he was on the verge of getting it right is beyond me. His pleasure at Pep being nice to him is also a little ridiculous.
  2. Cooper ticks the most boxes for me. He's experienced, successful and available.
  3. I actually posted the paperwork on here at the time and got a call from MLT threatening me with the police unless I removed it. He also told me I was going to cause the collapse of the takeover if I didn't immediately take it down. I then got a call from Lynham threatening me with the police as I wouldn't tell him who gave me the paperwork. Needless to say I never heard from the police but I did get a call from Leon about a week later asking me for all the "consortium members" contact details because he was trying to get some of his money back. I guess its all funny now but at the time Liebherr came close to walking away because of Pinacle - I wonder what would have happened next and where we would be today?
  4. Cambridge not giving him much game time at the moment
  5. I got the impression that HK was the man who has been blamed although I wasn't told that in as many words. I think there is a belief that there had been too many "differing opinions".
  6. I'm not here to defend Rasmus. Undoubtedly he has made mistakes (and then some). But I was at Staplewood a couple of weeks ago and was introduced to him. He was very polite and friendly. Means nothing I hear you say and fair enough. Later when I was watching the first team train he was there also watching intently. It was pointed out to me that - percentage wise - he has invested more of his personal wealth than anyone else in SR. Again so what. But its worth considering that while his errors have led to us all feeling anger and pain he has a lot of his personal wealth wrapped up in our future and when it goes pear shaped - as it is currently doing - then he is not exactly popping champagne corks. I've given all this some thought and I still think as investors or owners go, SR are on the face of it genuine and committed. They have certainly screwed up big time by their contorted philosophy, but that has hurt them financially and reputation-wise as well. They are not going anywhere so, like it or not, its still in our interest to back them, even though they have no right to request our loyalty. We have no other choice at the end off the day, they are our club's owners. I wish they would communicate more frequently and more openly (and while I was there I did say that to them). Their heart is still in it, there's a lot of work going on off the field to increase our revenue which is getting unfair criticism owing to the poor showing on the pitch. But it is bringing in revenue and no one else has done it. I think they will bring a lot of positive things to the city in general, fingers crossed. This season is undoubtedly the worst in our history (albeit in the top flight) but their desire to right things is genuine and they are still highly motivated. I think they should be given the chance to make amends. Probably going to be shot down in flames for this post and be asked how much I have been paid but in my opinion its time for us all to take a deep breath and keep the faith for a while longer. Thanks for reading this.
  7. It's certainly not worth paying his £10m release cause.
  8. And the Marcus Liebherr pavillion has yet to be paid for. I believe that debt rests with his daughter.
  9. The Spurs fiasco has obviously slipped from your mind. One of the reasons we have been so bad recently is Martin's appalling legacy. I'm not saying Juric is the answer but he couldn't have inherited a bigger shit show.
  10. When at Staplewood last week I was told maybe 4 weeks away. Also Larios was working hard in the gym. I feel for Stewart. He didn't ask for any of this, he didn't set his transfer fee and no doubt he's as pissed off as we are about what's been happening. It was a gamble and one we lost. The shortages of number nines makes me think it was a gamble worth taking at the time.
  11. Take it from me THB is injured. I was at Staplewood on Tuesday and he was on the treatment table.
  12. I've warmed to Juric so far but yesterday was a bit of a rude awakening; firstly with his team selection and secondly with his post-match comments. A manager that goes into denial mode is usually at the top of the slippery slope.
  13. Character defects or weaknesses are not easy to resolve. We are in a deep trench and we needed everyone to pull together not act like a prima donna.
  14. Now there's trust for you - our problem is "potentially" solved. Hmm my faith in SR republic recruitment is not as robust as yours.
  15. So still no goalscoring forward on the horizon? That's disappointing.
  16. Well Sam is with Stoke in the same league as we will be in next season (and where he has been since he left us) so his name in your list is a bit previous. You talk about coaches who seem him every day (SAA) and yes I would agree with you if I had more faith in the footballing set up up at SMS at present. Not including Juric because he is still getting his feet under the table and surely he hasn't seen enough of SAA yet? He looked good in the Championship last year as a 17-year old and will probably do so next season should he be given a chance.
  17. It's very hard to comment with "full knowledge of the facts" because in recent months SD don't seem too keen on keeping the fan base up to speed. Yes there might be a reason why someone at SMS thinks SAA not worth keeping but I am damned if I can see the logic because to my weary eyes, he is young, promising and he has not been given a decent run in the side for a very long time. To me he looks a better prospect than Edozie and I'd rather see him the squad than Fraser. This decision - while there may be extenuating circumstances (pray tell us) - is baffling and undermines confidence in those currently taking footballing decisions.
  18. We obviously desperately need a striker (Bednarek currently joint top scorer with 2 League goals?????) but so do about 30 other teams and good forwards really do not grow on trees these days. So we are going to have to take a gamble by signing an old crock like Wilson or sign someone from Albania no one has heard of and neither option fills me with much hope. Even someone like Paul Moody, Neil Shipperly or Micky Evans would be a bonus right now because I don't think I can watch more of Adam Armstrong's non-existant ball control.
  19. Has Bamford signed yet?
  20. JJ Morgan played 73 mins for Gillingham yesterday then got subbed
  21. Yea but can our scouting team find them?
  22. For me his treatment has been the biggest crime this season unless there is something going on in the background we don't know about. He has always seemed to be the most promising of our youngsters and yet Martin snubbed him repeatedly. I don't get it. He had a good game vs Cardiff in the League Cup and then was sent into exile.
  23. Had a nasty shoulder injury and struggled after that. Bruce said the injury affected his form
