When we played villa in the cup I took my daughters so didn't sit in my normal seat, sat next to a old chap and his family they had a cool back full of pizza wrapped up in tin foil. They sat there most of the first half stuffing themselves, second half they got desert out satsumas bananas and apples washed down with cartons of various tropical juices. Didn't even offer us any but the people in front had plenty down their backs and in there hoods it was a right mess. To cap it all he asked me twice if I was a villa supporter, then at full time asked what part of Birmingham I was from.

In the cold light of day and looking at things from the outside yes it could seem that it was an over reaction to bring this issue into the public domain. But it is all to do with prospective as to how you react to different situations. From the outside as you said a balanced person would discreetly and privately deal with the club. That is what happened, I sent three emails had two email replies and a phone call from the club, we discussed my 3rd email that contained more detail of my fathers situation and the matter was settled. If the issue being in the public domain had anything to do with it I don't know. As for screaming from the rooftops, wailing and gnashing of teeth or posting your displeasure on a forum on something that has an big impact on you and your family, being viewed as totally disgusting and disgraceful behaviour all depends on your prospective. When for as far back as you can remember you and your family always went to watch the saints play, you can remember walking down to the dell with your dad as a small boy, stopping in the shop to get sweets. Then when you were older getting the bus to town meeting your dad at the lord Louis pub by the bus station and going on to the dell. Getting chips up in Bedford place before getting the bus home. Standing outside the dell all night with your dad waiting to get your tickets for the league cup final in 1979. Enjoy the early 80s remembering golac his favourite player. Then in their retirement both my parents Enjoying the new ground how they could sit and enjoy SMS together, unit my mothers death in 2008. How we convinced my dad to continue go to watch the saints, because he didn't want to without her. Then over the last five years watching his health decline, seeing that he was being to struggle, not understanding why he was looking after himself as he once did. He stopped going out, slowly began to lose his mobility would have falls more and more regularly, ended up in hospital more once. How just taking him out became a real performance just getting form his flat to the car. but the one constant in all of this was that we always took him to St Marys no matter what. Yes it is hard getting him there, physically lifting him in and out of the car. But it is worth it because it is where he wasn't to be watching the saints.. So yes it my be a bit of an overreaction but it depends on perspective, and human compassion and fellow feeling.

Ok just to clear this up and put it to bed once and for all. It was me that enquired by email about Turks and my fathers disabled season ticket. His circumstances had change he was getting attendance allowance but because of his health declining he had to move into a care home. I asked by email that because he no longer gets any of the benefits listed in the clubs policy for disabled season tickets what documentation do I need to provide for him to renew for this season. I got a standard reply of if he doesn't get any of the benefits then he will have to pay the full price for him and his carer. I emailed SDSA and they agreed with the club. So I emailed the club again more fully expressed my displeasure and hoped that we could work together to sort the situation out etc etc. Then this morning the ticket office phoned we had a short discussion and the situation was cleared up. Looking back I think that maybe I should have phoned the ticket office and discussed the situation in a more personal way then by email. But I must say that apart from this occasion the club has been 1st class in the way they have treated my father and my mother before at St Marys. When my mother was being treated for cancer and had to leave her seat because it was to cold or to hot in the sun and she took shelter under the stand the stewards always asked if she was ok. the same with my father and to answer a question posted earlier someone else couldn't go in his place because the stewards show a personal interest in him and ask my sister is he ok when he is not there. The Stewards do get slated at time's but I must say they have been outstanding in the help they given us in regard to my father. before he was in a wheelchair we would drop him off right outside the ground but at one game he couldn't manage to walk into the ground to his seat so one steward was sent off to get him a wheelchair and another got him a chair to sit on, told us to go on in to the ground so we don't miss any of the game and that they would bring him in when the wheelchair arrives. which they did, and had a wheelchair waiting for him for the rest of the season. So I think from a lack of communication a bit of a storm has blown up, but all parties have come together and it is now sorted. So

Could someone compile stats as to every tackle/header/block that Jos has made that has stopped a goal or attack that could have lead to a goal also how many passes/headers completed/ went to one of our players.
-
Siemens own the traincare depot at northam, there couldn't be a station down by sms because that part of the track is used to bring trains on and off of the depot as well as stopping trains on before they go into depot for maintenance.

the union is paying their wages
-
apology accepted. O sorry you haven't yet. i can wait.
-
don't think they can lower the pitch level because of the burial grounds found under the stadium when it was being built. I think they were examined and then covered over, and are not allowed to be dug up again.
-
they wont be able build a station at the back of the kingsland stand because that land is used by siemens for trains arriving and departing the depot at northham 24/7.

sorry we will win the war
-
they may have won the battle, but will win the war.

I think that we will without doubt be in play offs. At the beginning of season i thought we would be mid table at end off season. Aim high.

most of the customs and traditions today have pagan origins

So are the evolutionist enjoying christmas with all the trimmings, or is that just hypocritical.
-
Darwinism, based on reason and evidence. If we evolved from chimps why do we still have chimps? Also everything even the most simple thing like a pen has a designer and a maker. But we are told that some of the most complex organisms like the eye and the brain evolved from an organic soup. How? Only asking, just comes to mind when watching Sir David on the box.

some bloke next to me kept going on about lambert being a better penalty taker than le tiss. Time may tell.

My problem is this. our family came from the st Mary's area at the beginning of the last century, were around when the club was formed in the 1880's have always followed the club in whatever form of league we have been in. So we have had no choice it is our tradition there is no other club, we don't worry or even care what is happening down the road, if we are playing Manure or Mansfield we don't watch them we come to watch our team. As for the missing 10,000 couldn't give a toss they are the losers, we are watching the rebirth of our club we are on the way up, we have great times ahead and we are here at the beginning of our climb back to were we belong.

I didn't realize it was the clubs that run the premier league, and market it as worldwide brand, or that the 60million or so that they get for being in the premier league is their own money. I stand corrected.
-
Yes maybe. but could it happen or not. Have they got the power to hold off creditors and protect there product (the premier league) until the end of the season?
-
I have heard from a pompey work mate that because of the high profile of the premier league, they will not allow any team go into administration. If it get so bad that Pompey look like they are going to fold then they will keep them afloat until the end of the season hoping that they will be relegated. the premier league is a worldwide brand and will pay to keep a club afloat so as not to damage it. Maybe it is wishful thinking on their part if it does happen, we will have to wait and see.
