  1. Just seen it again on match of the day. It looked awful, his reaction & that of all the players around tells you its not looking good. I hope it isn't as bad as it appears, but I fear the worst. Good luck on a quick recovery Jay. Hopefully be ready for the start of next season. The result hardly matters today, I'm gutted for the lad when he seemed to be playing his way into contention for the world cup.
  2. We went to pieces once Clyne slipped up, second half was simply woeful. We needed a decent start to the second half but Lovren had a brain fart and suddenly we are all at sea, we went pieces pure and simple. Looked like we would see it out for a draw, but how many times have we seen a stunner against us to win it this year. Gutted losing to that skate C**t.
  3. Quite normal Gemmel, lost my Dog last year. Was awful taking her in for a confirmation ex ray knowing I wouldn't see her again. Was a right mess. They are a big part of your life & give unconditional love. You are bound to miss them, even my other two younger dogs were really strange for a few weeks after.
  4. And to think we were disappointed when they seemed to have got away with it. There slow car crash demise has Been a thing of beauty to behold. Could it really happen conference football? it's almost to delicious to believe, but looking possible at the moment. Is that a massive KARMA cloud I see descending on the septic Isle.
  5. We have a good crop of players that other teams would like, if some of the big boys come with real intent & make big offers will we have the resolve to turn them down, and will the players be happy to stay with the club? This summer will be very telling for the direction the club is intending to go.
  6. It's going to be long long summer of press speculation, with most of our first team being touted, to be going here, there and everywhere! Schneiderlin has been touted to Arsenal since he's been here, so just another season another Schneiderlin to Arse story.
  7. Well I think most would all like to see a top notch keeper in, if Cardiff go down I'd like to see us go for Marshall, he has been outstanding from the games I've seen him play. We need to upgrade at CB to give Fonte & Lovren some competition. And a striker is a given. Sounds like Lukaku could be available, but probably be out bid by a bigger club for him. I would like cover at Left back but who knows how far off Targett is from stepping up, guess we will have to trust in the management team for that one. Let's be fair we didn't didn't see Chambers starting the season & stepping up this season. I can see Gaston going, so maybe go for a playmaker number 10 call it what you will.
  8. Cautiously optimistic after listening to his opening statement. Powerful statement re-Katarina honouring her fathers vision. Sounded very encouraging, engaging with the fans once again. If Pochettino signs up that will for me be the statement of intent needed to carry us forward. It quite obviously will be a big help to the younger players in deciding to stay or seek to push for a transfer.
  9. Recorded it this morning, just watched it and found it very interesting. I can see both sides of the debate on the show, but we obviously have a very strong philosophy on how to develop our youngsters. The system (pathway) giving the young players the ability to drop straight into a system they are comfortable with. Les Reed surprised me, haven't been sure about him but must admit he impressed me, clear concise and have to agree with his stance on the way we do things, not loaning out players to lower leagues as this doesn't prepare them for the premier league. I love to see our own youngsters coming through and thriving on the big stage, long may it continue.
  10. Professional performance won when not on top form. Well done Saints.
  11. Been fabulous for us, grown with the club as well so Happy Birthday Sir Rickie Lambert.
  12. Altered for you you missed it out!
  13. I don't think most people on here thought we would win the Cup. Most people thought the way the draw was panning out that it was opening up, hence a lot of pundits/experts were looking at at Saints as a good bet for a good cup run. Someone else said above look at the bigger picture, what is the bigger picture for us this season? 7th a whole place higher & finishing above man United whoope doo! I'd rather have sacrificed dropping to 9th for the chance however remote of actually winning something again. We have let slip a decent opportunity that is what people are p**sed about. I for one don't want Pochettino sacked, but he's needs to come out & realise he made a huge dropped b***ock yesterday and apologise to the 850 who travelled yesterday.
  14. Unfortunately with the right set of results, 7th could see us getting a Europa cup place next season. So we will all have to hope we only finish 8th because we wouldn't want to get into a European competition would we. Sorry I just don't get why people happy to finish we're we are now rather than actually try to win something?
  15. Very disappointed, went out with a whimper. Poor decision on the team selection, seemed to set the tone that it wasn't important. Then went and played that way. Feel so sorry for the fans who went today let down badly by the team & Management. So frustrating we could have gone a long way in this if we'd taken it seriously, now the season just Peeters out.
  16. What a ridiculous decision on Fulham's. Part. They've just been showing signs of fight since our game. They've got the new players coming in. Nothing short of a panic decision. I hope it gets what it deserves Relegation!
  17. True gentleman RIP Sir Tom.
  18. Excellent hard fought victory. Well deserved in the end, could have been so much easier but for a few missed chances. Onwards & Upwards.
  19. I won't bother watching him, but will take interest in his performance & game time. It is vital to us for a decent resale value that he does well. Not only for the rest of the season, but also for Italy in the World Cup. Hopefully we can get most if not all our money back on him, then we can move on and forget him.
  20. For the sake of the thread I'd choose lose at Hull win at Sunderland. But I think we will win at Hull and draw at Sunderland & then win the replay.
  21. Oh dear that is very sad news, my condolences to the Gallagher family. With that going on he put in an outstanding performance on his full debut. His father will have died a very proud man RIP.
  22. Count me in signed, hope it does you some good & you get rid of those parasites SISU.
  23. Cheers for that some great play in there for the first two, outstanding third fabulous ball from Lambert and a sublime finish from JRod. Love the we are Southampton were going to Brazil chant :-)
  24. Take a bow Sir Rickie Lambert, he has simply been supreme for us. He has answered every question that's been asked of him. I doff my hat to you Sir.
  25. Have to admit that I was excited to sign him, but he's proved to be a complete let down & looking like a disruptive influence. I just hope he does well for Juventus & for Italy in the World Cup. So they or someone will be interested in buying him in the summer.
