Terrible news condolences to the Corby Family. And here to a speedy recovery to a true Saints Legend & my boyhood Hero. lets hope your soon twirling that arm Mike.
I remember the incident & seem to think it was about 78 not definite on that though. It was a real LOL moment.
Reminds me of the first game at the dell when they sponsored the League cup aka the Milk cup they put that huge milk bottle in the middle of the pitch, then unigate went around handing pints of milk in the cardboard cartons out. Then a copper walked behind the Milton goal & just as he got behind the goal there was a hush then almost as one the cartons were opened & he got pelted with open milk cartons & got soaked in milk now that was Funny as F**k. Needles to say they handed no more milk out again.
I really don't think its a surprise that Morgan tired as most foreigners seem to take A couple of months to get used to the pace of the English game. So I wouldn't be to worried about the lad yet. & I don't rightly know how many 90-mins he has under his belt in pre-season.
Nothing about the game on Saturday surprised me, Unfortunately (wish I'd been wrong) but Got the score prediction right. And i think we are all going to have to be incredibly patient with the youngsters.
I was disappointed to concede so late again it is a worrying trend we need to try to get rid of, I know it happens occasionally but we seem to make a habit of it, or is it just me?
I wouldn't expect Killer to play twice a week, nor do i think he will train fully all the time. A bit like McGrath when he was at Villa. If I remember right McGrath was written off by Fergie at United but Villa had him playing once a week & just kept his fitness level but no full training during the week & he was Superb for them for a couple of years playing that way. If Killer can play between 25 - 30 games this season it will be a real bonus. But the last thing I want is for him to do long term permanent damage to himself.
Don't think 1st game of the season will tell us a lot to be honest. Just feel it will be the usual defeat on day one 2 - 1 to Cardiff to keep up our fabulous opening day record.
Hope I'm wrong though!
For me it's all about the performance over the first month & the ability to stick to the footballing plan & the ability to pick up enough points to keep our heads above water.
No its not just you definitely crashed. Shame an own goal lost it for us will be interesting to hear from those that went about first half. Also defence will be a lot stronger with Svensson & Davies in, Lest hope they can stay fit.
I've gone for mid table. Think we will struggle to start but if we stick with it we will come good. May even be an outside bet for a late Play off push ( Sorry Getting a bit carried away with optimism there ) must get a grip. I would be more than happy with a 9th or 10th place finish & a good foundation to begin moving forward instead of backwards.
Have to say my initial reaction to Wilde's statement is he is a sanctimonious *****. Saying in different words we should forgive & forget. But having said that & normally being a half glass empty sort of guy, I'm feeling more of a glass half full at the moment. And as for Wilde & Lowe I suppose they are dammed if they say nothing & dammed if they do.
I do think we are going down the right lines with this system but to even contemplate promotion is ridiculous at the moment. I think it will take at least 6-months for this to system to settle in & start to bear fruit. I hope we can pull enough points together to keep the majority of fans on side. But who Knows we could do a Bristol City/ Hull city & surprise even ourselves Here's Hoping
I've just paid up well done to the mods for getting it up & running again. Lets hope the team get up & running just as quick when the season starts.
