Seemed like a very decent man, but the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time. I wish you well for the future & thanks for trying in what must have been the almost impossible position you found yourself in.

If saints were a tv show what would it be called?
Under Weststand replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
How about a film Dirty Rotten Scoundrels -
All down to his massive EGO for me he wanted to try a similar experiment before & has come back to try to prove his idea's are best, no matter the cost to the club & its (customers) sorry Fans. He takes no responsibility for mistake he makes, blames anyone & everyone but himself & has total belief that he is right no matter what the evidence against him.

I think we'd all agree with that at the end of the day no matter what our opinions we all want Saints to survive in this league & start to move forward.
-
No as you can't tell me that Wotte hasn't had significant input so far, so what's going to suddenly change now, hope I'm wrong but can't see anything significant changing. As you say we can't do worse but its just shuffling the deck chairs for me. When what we really need is completely new direction.

Continuity Does the Idiot know the meaning of the word? so he wants us to continue losing for the rest of the season. Did he really write this himself or did he just read from a script. I shouldn't be surprised but the gall of the board is just unbelievable. As the saying goes:- you may fool some of the people all of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. This was there 1-final chance to sort this mess out have they just dropped the ball for the last time. I so hope not for the sake of SFC. Its like watching a slow car crash when you know what's going to happen & are powerless to prevent it.

Well just got in from the pub logged on to be greeted by this. Is it a change for the better? Have to say I don't think so dont try to tell me that Wotte didn't have more than enough input into our situation as it stands now. So how is he going to suddenly change things. Hope I'm proved wrong but IMHO we need a complete change of direction not more of the same. It just apears to me to be another Lowe puppet. Oh sorry Judas Wilde has finaly made a statement hasn't he must be his decision then

would you accept administration if it meant Lowe left?
Under Weststand replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
Heart says yes but head is saying no. Unless anyone can grantee that someone is waiting for this so they can get the club & its debt's & pay nothing to the share holders, otherwise were just playing Russian roulette. It may come to that anyway but I for one don't welcome it. -
Plot & lost it come to mind so he's been lounging about at half pace & he's finally going to work at 100% to get us out of this. they are going to work on converting chances into goals . Are they going to work on trying to stop conceding them as well or did they run out of time to discuss this. Well I'll sleep sound in my bed tonight knowing that's all sorted out then.

The whole situation surounding the club ie:- the financial situation is not all Lowe's fault. However he is culpable as our Wilde & a lesser extent Crouch. His big downfall is trying to lay the blame for his mistake's at somone else's door all the time. And as for the way the season has gone to date & his Dutch experiment then I hold him totaly responsible for our situation as regards the playing side of the club. At the start of the season there was a thread about how we thought we'd do & at the time I questioned his method but hoped that I'd be proved wrong for the good of our club & still do hope by some miracle that it suddenly turns around. But forgive me if I dont think thats going to happen. If the worst happens & we go down & into administration he will have no one but himself to blame, he had the chance to show he was a changed man when he came back by admitting he had made mistake's & proving what a big man he was by leaving Pearson in charge & he could then have still done a lot of triming of the wage bill & let A football-man run the football side of it, I think we all new we would be in for a bit of a roller coaster ride this season even if pearson had stayed. But leaving Pearson in charge would at least have got a lot of the fans onside at the start. But NO he just had to do it his way, and unfortunatley we will end up reaping what he has sown. So to sum up is it all Lowe's Fault, no but a great deal of it is. Its about time he held his hands up & admited it FOR THE GOOD OF SOUTHAMPTON F.C while we still have one to suport.

Steve Morans Injury time winner at Farton Crap in the 4th round F.A Cup. And how about Tony Funnels Equaliser from a corner at Brisbane road to virtualy garantee Promotion. Both these due to the occasion what the results meant & the absolute feeling of total & complete elation.

I would have thought that by 25 you should be at your peak physically & skill wise. and should expect all things being equal (as TDD said with diet ect) you should last 5-6 years at that peak.

That was a good well written letter Beatlesaint. I too hope its printed in the echo as the outfall from Saturday cannot be swept under the carpet. Any pressure that can be put on Wilde & co to change this ludicrous experiment is all right by me. I hope you get a sensible & reasonable reply but as a few have said don't hold your breath.

KD has been the one bright spot for us this season & has stood between us & total humiliation many a time. I know he will walk for nothing at the end of the season but if we are to have any faint hope of staying up we must do everything to keep him until then.
-
1-1 defoe that is the best result for today keep them both deep in it,
-
JP seems to have completely lost it now, I've been out all afternoon but reading a lot of the post's on here we had more strange tactical decisions. And as for his ramblings after the matches lately he is becoming embarrassing. The decision to replace Pearson is coming back to haunt us big time. Lowe's experiment is falling apart before his very eyes.

What a dark day another poor result, with Forest winning & Norwich easing to a 4-0 moral boosting win it puts us in a perilous position. If we cant beat Forest & Doncaster at home we are Royally F**ked. I sincerely hope we can somehow stay up but this was a crucial month for us & so far its gone from bad to worse.

Saints Greatest XI - Nominations For Best left Side Striker
Under Weststand replied to St Landrew's topic in Golden Posts
Steve Moran should be in the poll But I'll Vote for Big Ron when the time comes. -
Oh how we need to win this one but I think it will end up a disappointing 1-1 draw.

Bale -living up to potential he showed with us?
Under Weststand replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
I think Bale did move too soon but he needs nurturing at this time to re-build his confidence, just not sure SaggyChops is the right bloke to do it. He will make Bale a scape goat as some of the Tottenham fans appear to be doing. The games I've seen the defence is woefull & the least said about Gomez the better. At the end of the day he may well have to take a step backwards to move forwards again. As for the game on Sunday Really want bath teams to lose shame thats not possible guess a draw is the best result. -
I think its more about the system than the strikers. We may have the most shots etc but how many are from real goal scoring positions & how many are speculative long range efforts? Also the system of one up front won't work with DMG (not saying with the right service or a different system he wouldn't do the buisness). For that roll you need a big strong HARD WORKING player who will die for the cause, hold the ball up & bring into play the two wingers & allow the attacking midfielders time to get into the box. from the little I've seen so far this season that's been the main problem the lack off chances actually in the penalty box.
-
All depends how we do in the next three games I will believe we have a chance to stay up if we get at least 5 points from them. If we lose to Donny & slip back to what has been our general cycle recently of win 1 & lose 2/3 then we will be in deep trouble. I think January will decide our fate IMHO & our ability to change it, results & what happens in the transfer window. It would be good if we were able to bring in a Right back & a forward. Lets just hope for the best.
-
What a vital win, well done Saints. We must win against Donny at SMS next week. Looks like Norwich are on the slide also so 2 more wins on the trot please.
-
Get in there good 3-points Saints
