Good post and all good points. Thus far, I'm not overly inspired by Puel and it feels like our luck may run out with the sell/replace/still have success cycle. That being said, if results continue in a similar vein I could see how Puel might become vulnerable. Still, it's early days yet and no need to lose our heads just yet. My hope is that Europa doesn't negatively affect the squad and our PL performance. Statistically though, it probably will.

This is my concern. Sunderland signed a lot of players with Di Canio and struggled.

I really couldn't care less that Lallana or Shaw are leaving/left. Would I prefer them to stay? Yes but only if they are committed. The minute they are not, get the most you can for them and move on. Until we break the plateau above our position in the league last year, we are going to have a hard time keeping players of great quality. Let's face it, Lallana's first season in the Premier League was ok'ish. He gets one real good season under his belt and he's off. He's just as likely to have a crap season next year as good one imo. Onward and upward I say, who are we getting in?!

I remember the long run with out a win in 89/90. Was it 19 games? I was in the west benches for the Newcastle game iirc and remember it feeling like we had won the league, fa cup and World Cup all in one when that penalty went in

Haha, that's great Col! When I've seen Lambert or Lalana in interviews, they have always struck me as being down to earth so good on them for indulging you. I would have been there were it not for work, would have been a laugh. Lol at Kelvin, he's probably right. I'll be at Cosmo from about 8pm onwards, the band comes on at 10pm.
