Always been indifferent to him, but he had a real opportunity at the start of this season to score a lot of goals. I couldn't question his motives with regards to contracts and money as I don't know the guy, but from a football point of view I have very little sympathy for him.

Come on you Chesham! It'd be nice if I could walk to an away game one day!

New Saints Player...not a signing though!

I didn't find it particularly hilarious either, but bad taste???? You must be very easily offended! -

I wouldn't mind the tease element of it, if the the joke was any good or not completely predictable. -
I like fluffy kittens - roasted with shallots.

Some of the venom sent in his direction is unfair. I always felt he was working hard and was most effective when used as an old fashioned centre forward. Why the football world, including Euell himself, think that he is a midfielder is beyond me.

God - this is all so serious. I only come here for the rumours, that's the most fun thing about football and fottball message boards. More outrageous ITKs the better in my opinion.

I really can't see the point of starting a thread like this.

New Era - Stadium Attendance thoughts
redorwhitelion replied to Smirking_Saint's topic in The Saints
Any sort of decent form and the average attendance with be comfortably over 20k. -
Its not like Wotton has spent 10 years playing in the Premier League either, although I'm sure he's done alright for himself the past few years. But I bet the guy has a family and mortgage to worry about like the rest of us.

Seems a reasonable incentive to keep them in shape during the close season.

If Saints want rid of him, what better way than to maintain as high a profile for him as possible.

Lots of skeletons coming out of the cupboard now..

Crazy thread - the shambles at St Mary's as nothing to do with the bank. At some point a creditor is going to ask for their money back, or at least the interest payments, rather than dishing out extra capital. somewhere along the line the level of risk pasted the tipping point and Barclays called in the debt. Sounds like fairly standard practise to me. They couldn't allow Lowe to keep running the club on the never-never throwing good money after bad. They had to draw the line somewhere, whether we like it not. -
Please refer to Saintrobbie's previous post where he referred to 'LOYALTY' (his capitals not mine) and the 'sinking ship'. Not a dig at Robbie specifically, but just pointing out the inaccuracy of your statement.

Professional footballer wants to play at the highest level possible and earn as much money as possible shocker. He may be a Southampton lad, but this is also his career. What do people expect? We never know what we have until its gone, it was the same when Beattie was here and he turned out to really crap - crazy. Why be loyal to a club when the fans turn against you after you first poor run of form. The levels of bile here never fail astonish. If he does move on good luck to him.

Why didn't Gavyn Davies save us from administration?
redorwhitelion replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
No fans should be lecturing any other fans - we all make our own decisions for whatever reasons, wealthy or not, or whatever other method anyone wishes to use to needlessly point fingers. -

Firstly the guy went to Tauntons when it was still a state run grammar, so unfair to try and paint him as some kind of toff that only got into football as a fashion statement. Just because he follows Saints and has a few quid doesn't means he has to sink it into the club. I know I wouldn't want the hassle as much as anything. If I put a significant amount in I'd want to know how it was spent and I wouldn't want to be on the board of a football club, especially as football is supposed to be a leisure activity and secondly if it meant working with Rupert Lowe. As far as I know he's never done anything to damage the club and its up to the individual to spend their money as is their wish. No amount of pressure or begging on this board could or should make any difference. For all you know he may have already made a more modest donation to the cause in the past few weeks. Whatever happened to supporters being equal and putting money into the club over the turnstile no matter what their financial situation? -
Wayne Rooney - an fat man just waiting to get out of a pro-footballer's body.

A lot of people within the game seem to regard him as a one dimensional old-fashioned targetman, but he's always had quite a bit more than that. Perhaps not enough to take him to the very top, but certainly enough to play in a team in the top half of the Prem. You just have to look at his free-kicks to see he's not just a burly aerial threat. Having made his name at Saints, played his best football at St Mary's, ****ged the local female population and scored a couple of derby goals I can only imagine he still has a soft spot for Saints and enjoyed his brace yesterday afternoon!

Skacel, Skacel and then Mills. Please prove me wrong Molyneaux, but C- so far.

By that logic any problems you have in your life are insigificant in comparison to 95% of the world that lives in poverty, but I bet your problems feel really enough to you. Sure, Rudi is a fortunate guy, but Saints offered him a contract to play football and now they try and force him out. If you had a contract and leaving would cost you a minimum of £100k a year, would you do it? Rudi has been nothing but professional when he's been asked to play for us, but St Mary's can't a good place to be as an experienced pro. It suits Saints for him to go, he wants to go, really what is the problem with him engineering a move away??? Rudi - shame it didn't work out as we hoped, but thanks for the efforts.

Davis 6.5 - I thought a bit unlucky with second goal, as first shot was struck sweetly and moved all over the place. James 6.0 - Average, clear weaknesses but up against a particularly strong left sided players. Saeijs 7.5 - Its been said before, but are you Claus? Superb tackling. Perry 6.5 - Steady Molyneaux 2 - Idiot Surman 7.0 - Usual tidy self Wotton 6.5 - would be 8 for gee-ing up the team, but 5 for ability. Gillet 7.5 - Best I've seen from him. Good anticipation and reading of game, got very tired and passing disintigrated as game went on. Lallana 5.0 - Anonymous McGoldrick 7.0 - Made space for Saga to play in all afternoon Saganowski 7.5 - Mostly does feck all, but can't fault his scoring instinct Euell 7.0 - always professional and puts all in, added valuable energy McClaggon 6.0 - Flashs, but couldn't quite pick up the pace. Enjoyable game, Swansea are the team Saints aspire to be right now.

Can't fault his performances at LB when I've seen him this season. Seemed to be putting his all in when called upon and very professional. Can't blame him for wanting to get out either and I don't see why Saints would do anything other than wish him all the best. Shame it didn't work out the way we all hoped, but I think Rudi deserves a little respect, I don't remember him ever bad-mouthing the club or the supporters.

All a bit of a non-story. Saints don't want him to play and get injured while they might be able to shift him, if not he starts getting back in the squad come February. I'm a little surprised the he's so surprised. If we don't manage to move him on I think he may prove to be useful, much like last year. If he does moves on and we can get a couple of players in and still save money even better.
