  1. If the players truly believe that the booing is racism, shouldn't they walk off the pitch and abandon the game?
  2. But we also don't live in the USA which is what the original point was? I believe that in trials less than 1% were affected as they didn't bring ID but no data was collected to see what groups they were from so I am not sure why the assumption that certain groups are affected more is given credibility without that evidence? Sorry I just struggle to think that a government that couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, could actually come up with a plan that works in their favour?
  3. Oh you learn something new every day..Is that why Northern Ireland did it too?
  4. Or alternatively they are telling the truth and are trying to stop voter fraud? The problem is, if you have a chip on your shoulder, you might believe every decision or every action is someone out to get you when in reality...they probably never even considered you!
  5. I don't know, someone earlier compared booing at a football match with standing in a field whilst a battle was going on booing the fallen soldiers..That's gotta be up there with this one?
  6. I don't think I have seen one person say racism doesn't exist?
  7. Not looking to start an argument with you, just a genuine observation which I just don't get about people like you?..Don't you see the irony in posting that someone else is intolerant when you are displaying massive intolerance to other peoples opinions..Even going so far as using profanities and name calling?
  8. I agree, there should be hotline so people can be reported because their thoughts are determined by how someone else perceives their actions.
  9. Yeah as I see the argument, that was fine as our kids wore the same kit as our first team. In this case the kids wear a kit which resembles Brentford due to the same sponsor rather than our own first team. Surely the kids want to wear the same as their hero's- which is why they pay extra to have their names on the back..I get they can't have the same in this case but IMO only they would be better without a sponsor...However as I said my kids have grown up so it doesn't bother me either way really, i was just saying I can see the side of the argument that is being made.
  10. TBF I get the point that our kids shirts have the same sponsor as Brentford first team..That is a bit odd IMO. My lad (although not a kid anymore at 20) when he was young, would happily have me pay more for a shirt without a sponsor as more often than not it spoils the kit! How much will they be paying to have their name on a kit worn only by a few thousand (at most) kids and never in a game?
  11. I am pleased for him, always liked him as Captain. Always seemed to care and was at the heart of the team when we had some great times.
  12. The three promoted teams? I think it will be a tough one next year, we need a good start as I am not sure we have the character to pull ourselves out of the bottom three if we start badly.
  13. It depends when you grew up I suppose, but to me Saints aren't traditional red and white stripes at all. Being born in late 69, my first home kit really was the FA cup year- Ted McDougal, thick and thin stripes, then in the eighties we never had stripes at all- well not until the very end of the decade- but I did like that kit! 🙂 So I always view a traditional red and white stripe as a variation of our red and white theme rather than the traditional kit.
  14. I think we will have to agree to disagree..I think there is a massive gap in income, spending and wages between the top 6 and the rest. Granted their is a big big gap between Spurs and the rest, and if Arsenal aren't careful they could fall behind but they have won the FA cup more than anyone recently still..Any club, even Everton, who bloody's their noses by winning a cup deserve every credit for doing the near impossible IMO!
  15. TBF they are massively punching above their weight then.. To be where they are in the table and win a cup when those top six are spending even "just" £57 million more a year!
  16. You are right..Liverpool's wage bill is like £300m a year.. Net spend surely is a red herring? Players don't go to Man City due to net spend they go for £500,000 a week!
  17. You do realise Arsenal have one of the biggest wage bills in the league? They spend something like £80m more a year than a team like Leicester?
  18. Its only the third time in something like 25 years that one of the big six haven't won the FA cup, I think, so no matter how much they have spent, it's quite an achievement.
  19. I would rather anyone win than one of the "big 6".. Don't forget it was a few short weeks ago that Chelsea were looking to rip football up as we know it so that a Leicester or Southampton could never win a trophy again!
  20. All this VAR is rubbish stuff, has just been wiped out IMO.. It was all worth it to see that Chelsea goal ruled out!
  21. I take it all back..I love VAR
  22. Is that nearly how it is in Scotland now? I am sure Rangers and Celtic play each other every other week?
  23. I know someone who works at another club (nowhere near the premier league) who have just signed with Hummel. He said the proposed kit designs even for their club that they have been shown are really good. Some were new designs but with a mix of retro stuff as well. He was really, really impressed with Hummel's team and the effort they are making to produce something that meets the clubs aspirations. I am hopeful Hummel will be a really good partner!
  24. I am not sure how many new fans a new badge will bring? I assume that's the point of changing it? Remember when Royal Mail changed their name to Consignia, that seemed like a great idea to someone to I suppose? It fix if why broken ain't it?
  25. The bloke behind has got away with a couple of camera's...I do hope that's not pee in that bottle- he needs to get a health check if it is?
