We've only played a handful of games! And I think the chairman, manager and players may have more to do with things on the pitch than the sihrt design. Plus, you can't judge if they look good, because as a weak-willed woman, you probably think flowers on them with pink shorts would look better.

I'm all for it if it works, but what makes you so sure they'll get on when sh*t comes to shovel? I haven't and won't write him off. My only point was that the club should just say if they didn't see eye to eye, because then it's reason enough to get another guy in. Doing so to get a 'better man' then getting someone who certainly hasn't shown himself to be better (though me may, of course) is weird.

I just think it's not an 'improvement' over Pards (unless time proves him to be the next AF) and I think the club should, in that context, be more transparent as to what happened. If Pards was shipped out to get a 'big player' in, then it seems illogical, that's all.

I'm with The9 in terms of consistency. It's key, and without it you have to be lucky in the first season - even if you've got the longer term potential to excel. I prefer someone like O'Neill, regardless of how unlikely this supposedly seems. The thing is, if it IS Adkins, that probably just means that he was the best of a limited field. There would be no point at all in bemoaning the relatievly low status appointment. It'll just be the reality, and to suggest will NC will have failed by not getting a triple A guy to manage a league one club would be nothing short of stupid. if he manages it, it'll be a coup; make no mistake about that. We can dream, and if those come off, great. No-one should be moaned at for having nice ideas, and with our money and potential - and getting rid of Pards - there is every right to expect something tangibly 'better'. Yet if, in the end, Adkins is the best name in the hat, then we'd best have Adkins. Of him, Brown and a few of the other names, he's the preferred option IMO. I'd take that, and I'd back him for a decent period, and give him a chance, barring the ridiculous.
